Went there for l7nch on a summer Saturday. Service was a tad slow. The food was spot on. I had an order of smoked wings- really good flavor. Gluten free wife had the goat cheese salad with chicken and our guests had the thai peanut flatbread. All were very good. The chef had it going on and I will be returning. read more

Holy cow was this a surprise! Don't judge a book by its cover, folks! It's clean but pretty basic and looks like most bars/pubs in this part of Minnesota. But the menu was incredible and so was the food! I had the steak and Gorgonzola pasta...so so good! My husband had the Big Cheese and it was also really good. The service was excellent too and the server made excellent recommendations. My only complaint is that no one warned us to save room for dessert! We will be back for sure! read more

Popped in here for a late lunch with son after working on our scuba skills in one of the lakes in Cuyuna State Rec Area. We were promptly greeted and found our way to an open table. We had just missed the lunch rush and the staff already had the tables cleared and sanitized. They offer many different seating options: Bar, High Tops with stools or traditional tables. We picked a table as we both needed the seat backs after spending quality time underwater. Sever brought us both water, dropped off menus and took our drink order. They have two larger chalk boards with that's days special and that's days soup. We both ordered off the menu. Son got a cheeseburger with tater tots and I got the Tennessee Hot Chicken sandwich. Son loved his cheeseburger so much that he want to come back the following day for lunch as well. The Tennessee was great for being so far out from Tennessee. I was looking on Yelp for a nice place with a good menu. Even a lot of the nice places around the area have a similar menu. After looking at Croft's menu online I decided we should try it. I wasn't encouraged driving up but wow, this place did not disappoint. I had a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, it was a little hard to find as you had to look under Chicken Sandwich and then Tennessee Hot, I asked for coleslaw and pickles on top (Nashville style) and they were happy to oblige. It was excellent! My wife had a Gyro and rice bowl and she was also very impressed with it. Service was also excellent! It's a little bit of a drive but we'll be back, with friends. read more

I highly recommend the Croft Pub and Grub. Over 4th of July, my wife and I stopped by for a meal and a beer. Unfortunately, I left a shirt. I called the Grill early in the next morning and I was greeted by a friendly , cheerful voice. I inquired about my shirt and he responded, "Yes we have it!" Not only was my cheeseburger, just the way I liked them and my beer ice-cold, they had found my shirt. I have been here several times but my experience yesterday was very bad. I ordered the sidewinder ( a blue cheese stuffed burger). It came out raw and cold in the middle. The waitress asked if I wanted to finish it, which I replied no as I was unable to eat it. They offered to remake the , I appreciated. They took away my burger and my sides tator tots to have it remade. Over 20 minutes came out with another burger, one I did not order and with potato chips. I informed them that this was the wrong burger and that was not the side I ordered. At this point, the restaurant was not busy. It took another 20 minutes to get the right burger, but this time there were no sides. By the time they brought out my tator tots, I was almost done with the burger. The person who was managing, a young lady and claimed to give us only partial credit off for the burger. My friend ordered a wild rice burger and was done way ahead of me. The only cocktail ordered was a cider and the bill was over $40. Terrible experience. When I told them that I thought they should have comped my burger as they messed it up twice. They were unwilling to make this accommodation. There are many other places to choose from in Crosby. I would try them before coming here. They just lost a loyal customer. read more

The weekend special menu is amazing at Croft. Every month it changes and this month is Italian. Everything is made in house from the entrees to the cannolis dessert which comes with pistachio gelato and crunchy brittle on the side. No corners cut. You can taste the rich butter and amazing spices in everything. We loved the chicken parmesan and gorgonzola pasta entrees. Last month was cajun and it tasted like New Orleans specialties. Can't wait for each new monthly weekend specials. Great chef! The regular menu is good too, but the weekend menu is over the top. read more

I had to change my initial 5star review. I came in 11:30 for lunch, apparently only breakfast till noon. I wanted a burger but ordered the egg poutine, it was neither was good nor good for me either & 24 hours later still regretting the meal. Yet no more than 15minutes after I ordered, did a someone the owner knew, orders a burger. Initially liked that they had Fat Tire on tap, but that was a tease. Now they have the same taps as the Spaulding two blocks away. One star gets deducted because the way the owners sit at their bar and does nothing but micromanage or take up space literally. They can add Mexican and Asian foods to their menu, but until the owners start recognizing their bar/restaurant is not their living room is will continue to a dive. read more

Besides its corky name, the "You Betcha Bar and Grill" is a descent place to visit. It is one of the few bars in the area that has food available throughout the day. I went with their Bleu Burger and tatar tots... Both were fulfilling and fairly cheap. Although their food isn't "award winning", it definitely hit the spot. If looking for an afternoon drink or a bite to eat, I'd give this place your business. My only word of caution, later in the evening the bar can be home to a somewhat sketchy crowd. read more

New name is Croft Pub & Grub (formerly You Betcha). Reasonable prices, and a small town feel. Has a happy hour 3 times a day! They also have darts, pool, and a juke box. Patio is a little "rustic". Kind of weird that there is no lock on the men's bathroom (there is one for the women's). Dining room was half full, and had to wait much longer than expected for food. Over 40 minutes! However, they did comp us 2 free drinks!!! I got the cheese curds, which were ok. Husband liked his California burger and beer batter (Nordeast) onion rings. I had the pastrami/green chili/fried egg on rye sandwich. The flavor was wonderful and I would absolutely order it again. My wife had the fish tacos that she also really enjoyed and would order again. Fries and sweet potato tots were both solid and the right portions. They were served on small sheet pans with faux newspaper liners which was unique and fun. The negatives are sodas served in frost cheap plastic solo cups, ice water in plastic Pepsi glasses and draft beer in a different glass than anybody else had. Geez; pony up and at least buy some mason jars and pint GLASSES. Lose the cheap plastic or cut your prices to reflect the lower class. Lighting was "mine like" which was creative, but walls were stark white except for a liquor ad stapled to one wall. Food was stellar but atmosphere is very lacking. read more

Inconsistent. I've been here several times in the past 6 months. When it's good, it's very good, but lately it's been a gamble. Fried pickles are delicious but half the time come out super greasy. Flatbreads are fantastic. Service is ok, not outstanding, but depends on the night. Love the sweet potato tots, but again, it's all about whether the kitchen is having a good night. I've had them undercooked and perfectly cooked. Burgers are good, but tend to be a little overcooked. Pizza was good - the crust felt a little like a frozen pizza would but the fresh toppings had great flavor. I love that they are putting effort into the decor and really love that they have gotten a better beer selection (sad that Jack pine fenceline is no longer on tap though!) TL;DR I love the improvements but now they really need to work on consistency. I want to be able to reliably know that I'll have a good meal and not have to gamble with whether or not they are having a good night. read more
