We went at 5 pm on a Thursday. There were plenty of seats inside and outside, and we decided on outside. Plenty of parking available when we went. Food 5/5: the outside of this place gives dive bar vibes, but the food absolutely wow'd us. We got pretzels and the fried green beans for appetizers, both were very good. It was a cooler summer day, so many of us opted for the comfort food. I got the chicken and it was spiced absolutely perfectly. The rice was done to perfection, the chunks of chicken complimented by the sauce. I would absolutely go back for just that. They have a great menu selection and great kid meal options. Service 5/5: our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She took our order quickly and the food also came quickly. Ambiance 5/5: like I said earlier, this place gives dive bar vibes from the outside. The inside is definitely more elevated. Plenty of room and seating with a great patio for nice days. read more

Lucky's is a good place to stop in and eat after walking through all the cute shops in town. We all enjoyed the raspberry iced tea. Two of us shared the Tater Toches (tater tot nachos). They were quite different, especially with the black olives on top, but still tasty. The other person with us has Celiac's and there was nothing on the menu for her. That's a shame, you would think the restaurant could offer at least one option that is gluten-free. Otherwise, our server was very friendly and efficient and it was a comfortable tavern type atmosphere. read more

Rented bikes in Nisswa and biked to Pequot Lakes. Biked to and climbed the fire tower, then biked here. Lucky's was a recommendation, and it was solid. Service was friendly, if a bit on the slow side. But I'm at the lake in the summer, service is going to be slow. I'm on vacation, not in any rush. I had a turkey wrap situation that was very average. My sisters split the fish tacos, and they ate everything. Kiddo had some sort of burger and devoured it. Big winner were the deep fried pickles. The outside patio was covered and nice. We stopped into Lucky's before we started shopping in downtown Pequot. I have been coming up to Pequot my whole life and somehow missed this gem! They have a great menu, which includes comfort foods, which were very good! The service was also excellent. We had a minor miscommunication with our server (we had asked for gravy on the side, she thought we meant extra gravy). However, it was quickly and easily resolved. We had a group of about 20 & this place usually is a 'you seat yourself'. Royce was our server and did a great job! Even when it got busy, he was very attentive. The food is decent and it is not over priced. They also have dessert items either listed on a special board or you can buy some at the door. They do have an outdoor patio which is covered.. The food is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the breakfast buffalo burger! It was delicious and the perfect amount of spice! It was a bit loud as there was a pretty big game going on at the bar, but it was such a wonderful experience! First time ever and will NOT be the last. The place was jam packed on a lovely snowmobile perfect Saturday for lunch. We enjoyed an on tap Guinness (YUM!) pretzel bites (thanks to our superb server Katie for the suggestion.). Plenty of bites for four, too many for two. We bought extra cheese dip to bring home to serve with our leftovers bites. I ordered an Aloha Chicken sandwich. Tender, delicious teriyaki sauce infused chicken breast on a pretzel bun with pineapple slices and thinly sliced but out so flavorful ham. Outstanding. My husband ordered the chicken breast w/avocado, tomato and lettuce. He was underwhelmed. The toasted bun came with one packet of mayo, but could have used three more. We both opted for Tater tots. Crispy, golden brown outside. Creamy texture inside. The portions are generous, with a capital GENEROUS. We both brought have of our meal home. Popular place. Good food. LOTS of big screen TVs. Come hungry, come with expectations to wait on Monday night for their fried chicken special, and come back the next day for lunch because you enjoyed the food so much! We walked in to find Lucky's so fully packed - no joke, we found the last open table in the back corner. Service was spotty but understandably so because their staff were all running around trying to keep up. We go the onion petals to start (strong skip, they were lackluster and boring) but the stars of the show were worth the wait. The fried chicken was juicy, salty, and hit the spot. The shrimp po boy ended being the A+ surprise none of us expected - 6 large, plump shrimp fried perfectly - flavored and sauced spot on. We enjoyed the meal so much that we found ourselves back the next day for afternoon happy hour and enjoyed a whole different batch of sandwiches that were just as tasty. read more

This is the small town bar-restaurant so you're going to cater to the town's needs. This means be aware of what night you are eating in as you might arrive on BINGO night or a meat lottery wherein the eating experience could be ruined. The upstairs arcade space is great for the kids to enjoy, but is currently closed for COVID. The bathrooms are clean and the food is alright - I've eaten everything from the fried apps to the po'boy and the consistent rating would be a 7 out of 10. The staff are nice, local and friendly... but that means they also get caught up in conversation with THAT GUY at the bar who won't leave her alone. You might wait 30 minutes for an app or it could rush right out. This place surprised me. I thought it would be the typical small town bar and grill but they go the extra mile with their food. Special sauces with their sweet potato fries, green onions in the smashed potatoes, house made Cole slaw, etc. I had the Cuban sandwich which had some very tasty pulled pork and extra crispy tater tots. My wife got the chicken dinner special: lots of food for only $5.95! And it was good food! Chicken was moist and crispy. Uncommon in many places but not here. Our server was very nice and outgoing. Ate here in the Spring and was very satisfied. Ate there this past week and was very disappointed. The French fries are NOT the same as in the Spring. I paid 1.50 extra to get them and got a scanty serving of shoe string fries. The mushroom and Swiss burger I ordered came with a freezer burnt bun. ( Guess I should have ordered the chicken as it was the special for the night.). Apparently they were short staff as our waitress never came back to see if our meal was okay. We love coming here when we're up north! The food is good and offers a variety, making it easy to find something for everyone. A hidden slice of awesome is their pizza. The sauce is so good and they have plenty of cheese on every slice! Finally, they have an arcade area upstairs that the kids love. Only downside is that there aren't servers up there so you end up needing to be in two places at once. read more
