We were there on Friday the 26th for the dance and band. The band, Mark Peterson was good. My wife had the grilled chicken, bacon, cheese sandwich, I had the walleye sandwich, and both of us had the homemade chips. There was nothing wrong with the food, drinks, or service. The dance floor was another story; it was the dirtiest dance floor I've ever seen. In one section, you couldn't even tell the floor was wood. Service was not good. It seemed no one really cared we were there. We sat in the bar at a table while the actual bar had many regulars pulling tabs. The servers and bar tenders were way more interested in them and their tabs than us. This was our second chance that we gave them and there won't be a third. The chips came out cold and not many. Early and casual light dinner on a quiet Monday evening. The waitress was very friendly and service fairly quick on a not so busy night. The food was simple but tasty. They had a varied menu, but didn't want to have a big dinner. The restaurant was freezing when we arrived, but it had large dinning rooms, which was fairly empty at 6pm. I can't speak to the food here but wanted to leave a review on the people- my daughter got car sick right outside their restaurant and when I went in to get napkins they were so supportive and sweet - letting us use their water hose outside to clean off and the owner came out to check on her, bringing her a sprite to make sure we were ok. Definitely will be back for a meal (ideally without the carsickness which had no association with the restaurant). Thanks guys! read more

My dog and I were immediately greeted at the entrance. After the dog was given much love we were told to pick a seat and he would be right out with some water for the dog. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. The staff were friendly, fast, and helpful. It was a real nice place to stop and sit outside with my dog and my company. read more

Ordered a BLT and my bf ordered breaded mushrooms. After seeing other people who came in after us getting their food, we were getting a little irritated. The waitress stopped by with a perplexed look on her face asking if we ever got our food? Well, since she didn't bring it out, and we had no dishes on our table, the answer seemed pretty clear. A bit later, bf got his mushrooms that had obviously been sitting a while because they were not hot (anyone who eats breaded mushrooms knows the scalding nature when they are fresh from the fryer). Just down from the bridge over the Mississippi River, this place is unpretentious and just what it says: A bridge between being hungry & thirsty to satiated. What? You don't like the decor? Well, this is rural Minnesota (just off Highway 6) and there's not too many haute cuisine restaurants nearby. We came for lunch and the friendly staff allowed us to park our bicycles on their patio area (maybe they like bikers of all varieties). The panfried walleye sandwich was wonderful, as well as my Rueben melt. Good taps offered, we experienced great service for our lunch visit. I experienced less than stellar service by server Katie S. I ordered a crispy buffalo chicken wrap with chips. My order came out as a crispy chicken and bacon ranch wrap with less than normal serving size of chips. Acknowledging the portion size, she said she would bring out more chips. When she came to check on us, I informed her I did not get what I ordered so she brought me out some buffalo sauce to drip my wrap in I guess and said she had punched in the wrong wrap. She never brought me the full portion of chips either. I understand people make mistakes when it's busy but there were only eight people in the bar so not too busy to provide such service and screw up twice on one order. The place has been going downhill for some time. I used to like to ride there on snowmobile, as it was the perfect distance. Service and quality of food has been hit or miss however. I don't really care what any business owners politics are, but I don't need to see that nonsense posted on their pages. You can do better. read more

We like to stop here when we are in the area. We were here on Nov 12th. The food was good (Popcorn Shrimp). But the waitress Katie was terrific. She is so sweet and efficient it made our visit Betty enjoyable. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because that is usually for fancy schmancy places and The Bridge is more comfortable and down home. read more

Easter Sunday, it's open! WOOT! I had the Bridge Burger. Absolutely the best Burger I've had in years!!! If not ever!!! Truly amazing flavor and the burger was cooked to perfection. My fiancée had a California Burger and she said the same! So glad we stopped!!! Kudos to the chef...the place was packed and still we got our food within minutes of ordering! Slowest service ever! Got here around 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. The place was half full. There appeared to be only one bartender/server, and he spent a lot of time just talking to people. The house band is talented (when they are all there)...but the volume is ridiculously loud (and I like loud music) and you have to shout to hear anyone while they are playing. With about half the normal crowd, I ordered a popcorn shrimp basked around 5pm...at 6:30pm I walked out without having been served yet (meal still paid for). $5 is the cover charge per person. read more

My husband had the special, philly burger and homemade chips and UI had the ribeye steak sandwich with fries. he said his burger was good not so much for the chips. My steak was at least half fat. I should have said something when she set it in front of me but I would have had to wait while my husband ate and I thought maybe it wasn't so bad. It was and I left it clearly visible on my plate so when the waitress picked up our plated I said, "there was a lot of fat on that steak." She said "Ya there was."
