The site has really grown over the years. With pigs, ring tail lemurs, turtles, crocodiles, alligators, goats and more! Took my 16 year old and my 8 year old. We all had such a great time! We really enjoyed feeding the animals and spending time out there. I don't know why more people don't know about this place! read more

I had the pleasure of visiting with my son's school for a field trip. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The kids were able to see animals up close and interact with them. A variety of animals can be seen such as alligators, crocadiles, turtles, and more. You can purchase veggies at the gift shop to feed the turtles. Great place for kids. Awesome staff and the owner comes out to talk to you. You can buy celery or lettuce to feed the turtles and crocodile food. Plenty of alligators and crocodiles to see. There are other animals like pigs, leemers, and a kangaroo. Final presentation is touching of a lizard and a snake. Get there early parking is tight. read more

I took my son here during spring break for our first time to visit the park. Make sure you get there early, parking was limited, but the park and the experience were outstanding. My husband and I recently came here and we enjoyed walking around looking at all the animals they had on property! Slightly disappointed that we didn't get to see the crocodiles eat, granted the weather was cold and they were basking in in the sun. I've lived in Angleton for almost twenty years and finally went to see the crocodiles! It was amazing! So many more animals and really some amazing and unusual crocodiles. We took our second grade students here and it was awesome! They have so many enclosures and chances for you to see lots of animals. The guides were very attentive and great with kids. It was helpful that many of them knew how to redirect the students when trying to get them to be quiet or follow directions. The guides were engaging and friendly. The ownership is world class and the tour guides are amazing. Jade and Leonard are extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented tour guides. We spent a wonderful morning at Crocodile Encounter in Angleton. It was a bit of a drive for us from Northwest Houston, but so worth it! There were a lot of alligators and crocodiles to see as well as some rather large turtles and antelope. We were able to get close to the animals, and were allowed to feed some them. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun and entertaining while we learned about the reptiles. I highly recommend this place! read more

This was a great spot. When you pull up to the front you aren't to sure, but we were pleasantly surprised. They have a ton of alligators and crocodiles. You are able to get pretty close to them. Well worth the drive. The tour guide we had was fun and friendly. The kids were able to hold a baby alligator. I really would recommend coming here. read more

There are so many different animals to see, and you get to see all the crocodiles and alligators so close. It's a great facility and you can tell the animals are so well taken care of. As an educator, I was really excited about going to the Crocodile Encounter. They sold bags of carrots, stalks of celery, and crocodile food so customers could feed the animals. As I was feeding a large pig it bit my hand, breaking my finger. With the skin broken as well I had to have a tetanus shot and strong antibiotics so I wouldn't get an infection that might disrupt the healing of the bone. I spoke to the owner (shortly after) who offered to pay for the cost of my treatment instead of filing an insurance claim. He explained that he didn't want his insurance to go up as he'd have to raise the price of tickets. Ultimately, he chose to ignore me after I sent the medical receipts to him. This bite would have really damaged the hand of a child, so be very careful if you go, and choose to feed their animals. They do not care about the customers. read more

I really wanted to enjoy this place but their covid precautions are reckless and they are clearly putting profit over safety. We were there on a weekend and out tour group was large. 50% of the employees were not wearing masks and 90% of the people on the tour were not wearing masks. There absolutely no social distancing. This was a big group of 25-30 people who were in close contact with each other for 90 minutes. My family was at the back so that we could distance and while I realize this was my choice we could hear and see nothing. The group was large enough that it would have been hard to hear and see even if we packed in but with covid this made it impossible. The tour guides would start talking while most of the group was still walking on the trail and by the time you got to an enclosure they were done. This is all particularly frustrating as I called beforehand and was assured that social distancing was enforced on their tours. This company does not care about you or your family, they care about profit. I just threw away $60. read more

I took my family there yesterday and had a great time. We took our own lettuce as suggested and enjoyed feeding the turtles. The park is great, I do wish it was bigger. That is the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. The staff were very nice and provided a lot of information. They were very organized and even though the park had several field trips, it did not feel crowded. We stayed for about 2 hours and listened to all the presentations. I highly recommend!! read more

Tons of fun. Take the tour the girls are super excited to teach and answer questions. You get to see them go in the enclosures and feed the gators and croc. There is a very rare white gator there but it's not an albino. The park is expanding can't wait to go back. read more

I decided this time to take my own children, but was reserved at first wondering if the experience would be the same and of course Crocodile Encounter did not disappoint!! So happy that I accidentally discovered this place while visiting friends 30 min away! Excellent, interactive, informative tour (ours was 1.5 hrs long!). Very relaxed and casual. Animals "perform" only if they want to - don't come in the morning after a cold night if you want to see the big boys getting fed because they will still be warming up in the sun! Personally, I Recommend buying the lettuce for hand-feeding bc there are a lot of animals who will eat it. (As opposed to the croc pellets that you throw in the water). I love that this place feels so "real" as opposed to a tourist gimmick! read more

This place is great; very informative staff with a lot to see. My 3 yr old loved feeding the tortoises and other animals and seeing all of the crocs and gators.
