We've visited Dewberry Farm every fall for several years, and my kids have always looked forward to it. Unfortunately, this year's visit was a real letdown. Many attractions were closed -- including the corn maze and corn pit. Who closes a corn maze during a fall festival‽‽ While a few staff members were friendly and welcoming, several others seemed impatient or downright rude. Around 1 p.m., staff began herding guests like cattle toward the exit, saying the farm was closing soon. Attractions that had been open were shut down abruptly. When we mentioned among ourselves that we thought closing time was 2 p.m., a nearby staff member snapped, "Actually, we close at 1:30." Even after we explained that we had been told 2 p.m., she curtly repeated, "No, it's 1:30." We left feeling disappointed and unwelcome -- a sharp contrast to the fun, family-friendly visits we've had in past years. I truly hope the new management takes feedback like this to heart and focuses a bit more on guest experience than the bottom line.

Absolutely loved Dewberry! So much to do and the weather was perfect during our visit. We partook in the Easter egg hunt for the 0-3 year old and that was slightly chaotic. We almost didn't get any eggs because everyone was trampling over each other and the babies couldn't take their time and enjoy the moment but other than that so much FUN for us adults and my almost 2 yo granddaughter overall. Got to pet the animals, ride rides and play. So much to play with for the youngsters. They also have some adult fun like a wine garden. Food choices were limited. Looked like they are under some improvements so this place I'm thinking is more of a place to go to for fun and not eating.

Lots for the littles. One price entry is fair for all that's included. Extra cost exhibits understandable but with the amt paid for entry, we didn't want to pay additionally. More importantly, we went opening weekend and spent plenty on water.

We had such a fun day here! I loved it because there is something to do for all ages (and lots of options!) My one critique is I wish there were more food options there. I imagined a wider variety with more fun fair treats. However, we did get a super yummy and large baked potato with brisket and corn with cheese. They were both really hot and fresh, and delicious! It was a bit busy but it's such a huge and spread out venue, we hardly felt it was busy! There's also a ton of Parking which is a plus. some of my favorite things: - paintball shooting - giant slide - gem mining - pumpkin painting (small additional fee)

Visited: 11/10/24 | Spent: $12 - Due to procrastination, I waited until the final weekend of the fall festival to drive 1 hour outside of Houston to Brookshire to visit Dewberry on a solo day trip. It was a perfectly sunny day and a smooth drive for midday Sunday. When I arrived there was plenty of parking and no wait line to enter. I noticed there wasn't much security (no bag checking), but plenty of space to lounge about in the mid-70s weather, take photos with the many fall festive props, and grab some snacks at any of the vendors. I opted only to taste the butterbeer (my main reason for visiting). To my delight, it tasted very similar to the butterbeer served at Universal Studios - Orlando: cold, frothy, and sweet! There were A LOT of fall festive activities to explore on the property, and even some barn animals to feed. I'd love to return for their "Berry Merry" Christmas event to see the areas transform into a winter wonderland. I'd also return on a cute date or a family outing, but would be sure to pack a picnic in the car as the food options were a bit pricey, although simple (state fair-like menu).

The little one had a great time, but it is expensive!! The train was a fun ride. I napped. The slide was different and kids loved it. The play ground could be updated, the 500 carved pumpkins in the dark was a highlight. Lil bit loved the carousel and ferris wheel. Face painting is so overpriced, but it's the grandbaby.. All of the servicers were awesome in explaining what was a place like. Is the best pumpkin patch I have been too? No, but she was so tired we only saw half of it. Next year we will drive to Marble Falls. Overall a good good time and beautiful weather.

Pumpkin display you see on the train.

We mainly went for the nighttime Halloween festival. We went to all the haunted attractions. They were fun. Not too scary for little ones. Bring some water. Only con...the tickets itself are about 200 for a family of four. The included price doesn't include a couple of the haunts. We ended up spending another 250 on food and attractions. Just a little steep.

4pm open time, majority of booths had these signs!

For my aunt, it's the go-to place for entire flats of mix and match edible plants, and also unusual plants. She says it's the best quality, selection and price. She now goes here with friends and family when I cannot go with her. For my friend its an opportunity for fancifulness, like you're in the opening of a Disney female main character scene where nature is chirping and buzzing in a concentration of a diverse, bountiful, beautiful plant life, and for me its both the practicality of edible plants, native plants, and unusual plants. I've seen the owner give a talk at OHBA. It cemented my respect for EG. So much comprehensive knowledge, and deep care. Before, I had noticed the employees are happy, present, and knowledgeable. EG is leagues beyond corporate stores. Yes, support local, but also seems EG is authentically supporting the local community too.

Plus once I saw they were dog friendly I was more than happy to add this to my weekend errand list since she could tag along. We were greeted as we walked in and asked if we needed help. We weren't looking super hard for anything in particular but did mention I'd like to find butterfly pea, but it wasnt something they had. Not surprising and didn't affect the overall experience. Jared is who came over and helped us and explained a bit about how they care for their plants and what services they offer. And even took down my number in the case he hears about how to get that plant. Told us they hold events there, so I'll have to look into it! I did really like how they had a dedicated room for indoor plants, not alot of places have that. I ended up getting a peace lily for $10 and shes still looking great 2 weeks later. We were also given a jug of their moon juice which we've just started using for most of our plants, excited to see if it does really help out. I wasnt quite sure if theyd be OK with my dog being brought into the indoor plant area or the office area where you go to pay but they held the door open for her and gave her her space. So it set a really good impression. This place is definitely where I'd go if I had my own property and want working with a blank/empty space. Compared to other nurseries you'll find much bigger plants/trees here.

Every single time I go I find incredibly unique items. They have all of the standard bedding plants, trees, shrubs, roses, etc. What sets this place apart is ALL of the rest. I have found something here literally every time that I have never seen before. Their prices are incredibly reasonable and my plants have always been healthy and happy. If I had a truck I'd be bringing home even more things. You can find 7-15' trees and shrubs for about an incredible value. Their standard bedding plants are $2.49. They do have a large variety of pots, garden accessories, water fountains, etc. For our native plant garden enthusiasts you will find everything you need here, including native milkweed. I have never had a problem with the service. But you do need to go and ask if you have questions or need help. They have always been great to me. If you are used to someone following you around to shop, just understand that won't happen here. I also frequent Warren's, they are lovely, it's simply a different experience. Do: Come early, it's huge and you'll want to take your time. Wear your gardening shoes, the paths are wet and have soil on them. Ask if you have a question or don't see a price sticker. Bring your water and prepare accordingly for outside temps in TX. No, they do not have a restroom. Which is NOT uncommon with our local nurseries. Just plan accordingly and you will be so thrilled you did. The driveways are easy to miss, go very slow on the approach. There are two driveway/entrances and two parking areas. There is ample parking, it just looks a bit daunting at first. This is truly a rare gem. It has everything you could want for all of our hearts desires. If it's rare, hard to find, unique or fun, you're more likely to find it here than anywhere else I've been in HOU or SA. Do yourself a favor and drop by.
