We asked for her honest opinion about whether 15-minute or 30-minute visits would be more appropriate for Harper, and we really appreciated that she gave us thoughtful, unbiased advice based on his needs rather than simply recommending the longer visit. That honesty gave us a great deal of confidence that Harper's well-being was always the priority. Our sitter, Lindsay, was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, caring, and clearly took the time to get to know Harper rather than simply stopping by to complete a checklist. The updates after each visit were one of our favorite parts of the service. We received thoughtful notes and videos by text after every visit. We especially appreciated that everything came through text rather than requiring a separate app. The communication was outstanding and gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. We genuinely looked forward to Lindsay's notes and videos after each visit. Her thoughtful updates let us follow Harper's progress throughout our trip, and it was wonderful to see him become more and more comfortable with her. When she told us he had even let her pick him up, we knew just how much trust he had developed. When we arrived home, Harper was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. With a shy and anxious dog who is nervous of strangers and sometimes reactive to other dogs on leash, finding a trusted dog walker is no easy task. I found MMH on Yelp and gave them a call. Melissa called me back within 24 hours, and Sarah came out that week to meet me and my dog and assured me that Allison would be able to take care of our pup. As we still had a few walks scheduled with our previous walker, they even coordinated a time for Allison to join our old walker on one of their last visits and help our dog adjust to the change. Allison is amazing, and we are so lucky to have found her! She took the time to get to know and build trust with our dog. Our dog loves her, she sends the best photos and updates after each visit, and she really goes above and beyond to keep us informed of any concerns. We've worked with lots of great dog walkers over the years, but she is the best when it comes to communication. We have regularly scheduled weekly walking, but MMH has also always been able to accommodate our one-off requests. This is one of the benefits of working with a larger company. If we need a one-off walk, and Allison isn't available, MMH has always been able to find someone, and Allison regularly introduces our dog to other walkers so that there are multiple people who can fill in when needed. We've also used MMH for overnight, in-home care, and again, MMH has always been able to accommodate our requests and we've had positive experiences with all the walkers/sitters so far.

That's exactly why people come in for these evaluations in the first place. If your facility isn't equipped to handle high energy or young dogs, that should be clearly stated upfront on your website. Instead, I paid $40 for what felt like a pre judged, rushed dismissal with zero effort to actually assess or work with her to get comfortable. What was more disappointing was the lack of care or professionalism. No one asked about her behavior history - other than does she not play well with dogs, supervisor didn't use her name, and she was immediately taken to the back with a slip lead and returned minutes later with a blanket judgment. There was no constructive feedback, no suggestions for training, and no guidance on how we could improve and come back. For context, she regularly goes to dog parks and plays off leash without any issues. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming and transactional rather than thoughtful or supportive. Just a heads up for other dog owners, you may not get a fair evaluation or any refund if your dog doesn't fit their expectations. Which should be free, then if they pass you pay.

I want my dogs to meet other dogs but in a smaller group ( my dogs do not like doggie daycare, so having Nici walking them twice a week is so much better). She only walks 3-4 dogs maximum at one session ( I think it's safer that way) & she uses her judgement when she selects which dogs would be compatible to "hang out" together in one session, based on their temperament & personalities. Nici writes updates/ notes after each walk & she also text me pictures from their walks/ outings at the dog park ( or at other fun locations!)
