This place was honestly a mixed bag for me. I will start off with the most positive aspect of my experience and that was the customer service of the person that helped me. She was fantastic and gave me a tutorial on how to order. But, the fact that the menu and ordering here is that complicated is a negative for me as I expect it is and will be for others as well. Interesting place I went with some friends kind of a complete bummer they don't have allergy and dairy free options

I stopped in here while on vacation since I had a craving for a sweet-treat. Upon entering, we were greeted and the cashier helped explain how everything worked since I was new to the place. I appreciated their kindness and help! I think it's a bit overpriced for the amount that you actually get. I ended up paying over $10 (double-checked my bank account to verify this). I ended up going with an original Crispy Cone and I did not finish the dough part. It was a bit too hard and not quite as expected. I think they could have put a bit more Nutella spread in the cone part. The ice cream itself was fabulous. There wasn't a ton of caramel or strawberries on it, but they're just accessories for the awesome taste of the ice cream. If I ever see one again, I may try it out once more! read more

We went on Black Friday, yes it was packed but they are just opening and I'm assuming trying to get in a good flow. I noticed a few tables dirty but just as I was going to flag someone, an employee came out to wipe them down. The cones are delicious, it's a sweet treat for sure. I would recommend sharing- We did enjoy what we got, but we couldn't finish them. My kids dumped some ice cream out to get to the bready cone and had a few bites and tossed the rest. 2 stars for now just based on experience and how it's run. I posted a picture of about 20 people in line or waiting and ONE person filling cones. 1 is at the register, 1 is rolling dough, 1is literally just hovering around moving dough to the oven/warmer. They need to havr at least 2 or maybe 3 filling cones at a time. It wasnt even that busy when we walked in but the line and waiting is ridiculous now. I can't imagine their actual grand opening day and not having figured our a true efficient assembly line by now. One girl is making each order 1 at a time. They move unbelievably slow. I have never waited over an hour for ice cream before, and I will never do it again. At least not for this place. Not even 5 minutes If you have nut or dairy allergies, be careful -- you'll likely need to watch closely during prep. The way they add toppings is concerning, as they sprinkle everything directly over open containers of other toppings. Some toppings that clearly require refrigeration -- like fresh strawberries, cookie dough, and cheesecake pieces -- are left out without ice, which doesn't feel safe or sanitary. After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes, my ice cream was handed to me tipped over, already melting down the sides. After all that time, you can't even enjoy it. And to be honest, the ice cream and cone were nothing special. At this rate, I don't see this place lasting. And at the end, the ice cream and the cone was nothing special. Yesterday I had a craving to try the new Crispy Cone at 121 and Coit. The store is very clean and tidy. The service was par for an ice cream shop. I ordered from the menu on the wall and after taking the time to view all of the options I settled for a "pastry cone with vanilla soft serve". According to the wall menu it should have been $4.95 plus tax. But I paid near $10.00 with a drizzle of caramel as an add on. The vanilla ice cream was tasty, the doughnut type cone was bready, but unfortunately this place was far more expensive than I was expecting. read more

You can customize cone, spread, ice cream, sauce, and toppings. It's like having two desserts: ice cream on top and then warm cone with spread. I did the traditional cone (cinnamon and sugar) with Nutella spread, cookie dough ice cream and topping and found it delicious. Manager and staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Wouldn't come back because the value isn't quite there. I got a room temp cone and it wasn't great. Where's the crispy? I'd rather visit Jeni's or somi somi. The workers also touched my hand when giving me food then used those same hands to touch toppings and pat them onto the other people's ice cream. Ew. The cone was very crispy with no flavor. It's really hard to eat the ice cream, which melts quickly, because the cone is warm. The cone is also so narrow that it's hard to eat the ice cream and the cone. You have to eat the ice cream first and then the hard cone with the fillings. read more
