I love me some Baked Bear! I can't believe I haven't written a review for it yet - always delicious & consistently amazing! Their cookies are always perfectly gooey in the center with a great crunch on the sides so they don't fall apart and crumble when eating your ice cream sandwich. You really can't go wrong with the cookie/ice cream combo and my go-to is typically snickerdoodle with cookies and cream ice cream but my husband got a brownie this last time there and that was sooo delicious too. I might have to try that next time because there will definitely be a next time! We don't have them in the Midwest so anytime I'm in Frisco for work I try really hard to make it out to the colony to grab dinner one of the nights I'm in town and stop here for dessert. Staff is always friendly and the line goes by fast, there isn't a ton of seating inside but people are usually filtering out pretty quickly. Highly recommend, it's a great end to any date or family night!
After dinner at the Grandscapes my nephew was begging for a treat and Baked Bear had an AMAZING aroma coming from it! The line was out the door but moved quickly! We got a variety of cookies and of course ice cream. The cookies come a little underbaked but I didn't mind since the cookie was still warm. The pairing with the ice cream is PERFECT!
This was the most delicious dessert ever! I have to say, it was a little hard to find. It's located behind PF Changs, you have to park and walk behind the restaurant. It's a small place, limited seating but sooo worth it! There are several options to pick from. You can order bowls, cones, sundaes, and so much more! I had the Nutella cookie bowl with vanilla ice cream, brownie bites and almonds. I could not stop eating this, it was so yummy! My bf had the Nutella cookies, with vanilla ice cream and brownie bites. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Definitely worth the drive!
Really good quality cookies with creamy flavorful ice cream. They have a ton of fun options such as cookie bowls and sandwiches. Also, you can't beat the Grandscape location for such a fun place to enjoy the dessert
I had such an amazing experience! The staff was friendly and they explained the menu patiently. The concept is phenomenal!! You choose the cookies and ice cream flavor that you want for the perfect ice cream cookie sandwich!! Of course you don't have to make a cookie sandwich but like why wouldn't you? It was soooo good. I wish there was one closer to me but since it's not I will visit this location whenever I'm in the area!
When in Grandscape: I highly recommend getting dessert in the Baked Bear. They recently got GF and vegan ice cream, so happy! I had to try their ice cream cookie sandwich option and it didn't disappoint. Could you share it with someone, sure, but trust me you might want to get your own ;)
I couldn't help Myself. I purchased a classic choc cup cookie sandwich which was so freaking delicious ANNNNNNNNND I got half a dozen cookies to take home. Now don't judge me, but I vaccum sealed them and ate them at my leisure and they were phenomenal. I don't live close enough to just buy cookies from them but if I did, I promise I'd be there more than I can think of. Lots of young people working here so they move fast lol, better to know what you want rather than hold up the line. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Also, they have good service, & the employees seem to be happy to be there. You can take their recommendations or create your own ice cream cookie sandwich. Oh, & if you're not into cookies they also have brownies & even a vegan option as well! The possibilities are endless!
The Ice Cream Sandwiches were great! However, I think it would benefit to have more plant-based options other than two chocolate based options. The vegan fudgy brownie cookie was a little lackluster, but blended well with the vegan chocolate chip ice cream. Highly recommend hot pressing the sandwich! It was more filling than expected. Service was very accommodating, especially considering the very busy crowd during closing time. Ambiance was very fun, some small sit down tables but it would probably be more worth it to take the ice cream sandwich to-go as you walk through Grandscapes.

WOW! This place blew me away. It is a smaller storefront with some indoor seating as well as some outdoor tables. The service was quick and employees were helpful with explaining the choices. You basically choose your 2 cookie flavors that you want and then the ice-cream flavor you want. I got a confetti and a gooey butter cake cookie stuffed with bear batter and it was fantastic. I'd say the gooey butter cake cookie is an absolute must! Pro tip: ask for it to be warmed up!!
Got a hot fudge sundae here and enjoyed it. The icecream was a little too sweet for my liking but still yummy. Nothing too special about this place, just your average icecream shop. The service was quick. They got my order correct, and I paid around $10 which seems a little high. Interior is small, but not dirty or gross. I'd give it three stars. It does the job, but nothing special. read more

Came here a couple days ago to FINALLY visit the store,and we still got the best service,though it was close to closing time. Having only ordered (now) numerous times from Uber eats,I can definitely say that I'll try and pop in as often as possible. We came in about 15 or 20 minutes before close and the people behind the counters spent time helping us and explaining everything,let us try different flavors and dealt with my indecision like champs. Then while my party and I were demolishing the delicious scoops, an even larger family party came in while the girl was cleaning the glass. And they had Gooey butter cookies!I've never seen them before except for when I make them??? Yum yum yummy. read more

The atmosphere and service were top notch and kind. We came here a few times but were confused since we are gluten free AND dairy free the staff ended up helping us out. They have the gluten free and dairy free options separate from everything else which is nice since we were able to see that they make sure that no cross contamination could occur. Now, going into the Vegan Diary Free Ice cream sandwich....chocolate chip and fudge cookies? Plus dairy free chocolate chip ice cream? Um, yes! :) Amazing! Not so sweet and you don't feel heavy either. You don't feel that guilty when you consume it either! Since it feels refreshing and helps satisfies the sweet tooth. And the staff served it with love so the amount of ice cream was certainly served well. I will certainly come back here before going to play games at the grand escape place! Finally made it to the baked bear after many years of it being on my food list. It was definitely worth the wait though. I got an ice cream sandwich. Brownie on the bottom and Cookie Monster cookie on top. I got cookies and cream ice cream. My friend ordered a half dozen cookies and one of the cookie bowls with ice cream on top! The cookies and cream ice cream is delicious! Super creamy and plenty of Oreos chunks. Paired great with the Cookie Monster cookie. Their cook of the month was also very good. The lady asked if I wanted my cookies warmed for my sandwich but it seems only the brownie really got warm the cookie didn't seem like it got warmed at all but the sandwich was still good. The space is very cute but small. Wanted to eat in store but sadly all the seats were taken And it was too cold this day to eat outside. But I will definitely be back for more sweet treats here. I really enjoyed it and I want to go back on a nice warm day so I can sit outside and enjoy my ice cream sandwich read more
This place is such a neat little find! We had found it randomly a few years back but never got around to trying it, parking is not the best. You do need to park in a busy lot and then walk over - it can be hard to find to find parking on a friday or saturday night. Just be prepared to walk a little bit. For reference it is next to PF Changs. We have since stopped in a few times and learned that we do not need two ice cream sandwiches at a time - toooo much food for 2 people! Unless one of us really wants their own or a specific flavor, we now choose to share. The lucky charms cookie was a special monthly offering and so far our favorite cookie! Check back monthly for new options. You can pick the cookie, ice cream flavor and a topping to go around the edge. They even have warmed brownies and cookies in case you just want ice cream on top. They also have free water cups at the napkin station. Highly suggest checking it out! read more

I had such an amazing experience when I went here! It smelled like heaven right when I entered and the staff were so friendly. It was not too busy when I had entered but they had so many selections of different types of cookies and ice creams. I ended up going with the chocolate chip ice cream and a chocolate chip cookie which were both so delicious! It is a little expensive but it's a great treat for every now and then! Would definitely consider going back. read more

My first time having baked bear was in San Diego. I was happy to find it in Dallas. I got the vegan brownie fudge cookie ice cream with vegan chocolate chip and it was great. My friend and I had lunch at a restaurant out at Grandscape. As we were leaving, we decided to stop at The Baked Bear, which was nearby. It's a homemade ice cream shop but it was too cold for ice cream, so we got cookies. We opted for the 6 cookies for $12. We chose 3 flavors each. I chose the gooey butter cake cookie just on the name alone. It was sooo good. I also got chocolate chip and cookies and cream. She chose the gooey, chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle. They all were good, very moist, even the next day. I love chocolate chip cookies, especially with nuts, but the gooey butter cake cookie is what's going to keep me going back. read more

INTRO: Baked Bear is super-premium, craft ice cream chain in USA. The location I visited was in Colony, TX. It is an icing on cake after touring grandscape mall in colony. Customized Sandwich ($7): See the attached pic. It includes chocolate chips, mint chocolate and bear batter. It's a 4 step process: you choose top and bottom, then your icec cream, then you choose topping and finally if you want it to be hot pressed!!! It's a must try if you are an ice cream fanatic. Parking: Since this is located in grandscape parking lot, parking lot is massive and it will never be an issue Ambience and Service: The place is clean and well maintained. While walking around the entertainment center this place is located in post having dinner in the complex, my husband saw a couple indulging in ice cream sandwiches and inquired and we were pointed in the direction of the Baked Bear. There was a line to get inside which moved pretty fast. I would say 5 stars in flavor and 2.5 stars for customer service which averages the stars to 3 stars overall. The person taking our order was short and only asked my husband for his order and moved on while we stood at the start awaiting her to return. The guys who came back started taking the people after us order and I had to mention that we were waiting as well & only then did he take our order while the girl went to talk with others. The guy offered to warm my cookie sandwich up and the one for our boys which was a plus. My husband was shocked and asked for his warmed as it was our first time and the girl didn't offer this to him. The place was clean and again the ice cream was tasty but the customer service is key and it wasn't there at all. read more

The service was great, they were extremely kind and worked quickly. I was originally attracted to this place because they had a vegan option. Although my ice cream cookie sandwich was beautiful, the taste was not there for me. I'm not sure what vegan substitutes they used, but the cookie was very dry. Sadly, it tasted like I was eating a crumbly biscuits without flavor. The ice cream however, was tasty, but sadly I was so put off by the cookie I did not really get to enjoy it. Although I did not enjoy the taste, I definitely would still recommend this place to friends simply because I have more confidence in their non-vegan options. read more

Walked over after experiencing Dinosaurs. Was not a lot seating and I definitely had to get out of this 100 degree weather with its tag partner the sun.. But I did bout card about the seating I was going to stand on the wall. This I was familiar with because I did a lot of standing against the wall at high school dances/parties centuries ago. I must the Bear Bowl was too filling.. And good.. I must say I love this concept. With only 8 in Texas I'm glad I stopped in. Servers were very helpful, the cashier maybe not as much. -she did her job. read more
