Root beer ice cream (tastes amazing!)
    Mary V.

This is a really lovely place to enjoy some creamy delicious ice cream. It's a nice treat especially in this Texas weather. I only got the calf size (single scoop) and there's so much in it! The staff here are all so enthusiastic and sweet. They were so excited to recommend good flavors (Root Beer float is the way to go). Overall come and you won't be disappointed.

The specialty shakes were SOOOO good! Not too sweet, and the whipped cream w the topping was so yummy. You get to keep the jar it comes in and they have a little wash station for you to clean out the jar afterwards. So neat. The staff there were so sweet and helpful with it being our first time. I loved the decor of the place, and plenty of tables for lots of families to enjoy. Will be back!

It's okay. It is Blue Bell ice cream which is extremely overrated. It's very expensive. With a tip it was $20 for a small "Peanut butter finger cheesecake" I had to request an extra paper plate because how else can anyone dig into this tower? This would be a great place to take a date to share one with. I had to take it home because it's too much for one person unless you're flirting with diabetes Staff was great!

Ice cream is a nice treat so we decided to stop here for dessert. The counter staff behavior was enough by itself for me never to want to go back. There were 2 occupied tables when we arrived. The staff seemed bored and unfriendly and the ice cream was basic and overpriced. And I don't have strong interest in ordering shakes and sundaes with a bunch of stuff piled on for photo shoots. On a side note I noticed a "convenience fee" in addition to sales tax added on to my receipt. Fortunately it was tiny but also, convenient for who?

We arrived early afternoon and were greeted by two friendly staff members. This was my first time, but my friend had been there before. It has a very clean and rustic look. I loved how they have a deep sink where you can wash your hands after eating your gooey treat. They will give you samples as there are sooo many yummy flavors of ice cream to choose from. I couldn't make up my mind, but I finally decided that I wanted something not too sweet so I got the oatmeal pie sundae. It was enormous!! I tried to finish it all but couldn't and took the oatmeal pie that was on the side home. The ice cream was rich and flavorful and I loved the scoop of oatmeal cookie dough as it gave it just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely will come back and try more flavors!!

Ice cream to go (small cup in a bigger cup)

I've always wanted to go to the Yard Milkshake Bar. I see it every time I'm in the area, so we decided to give it a try! When we walked in, the smell was extremely horrendous and very unappetizing. It felt very humid inside. The interior lacks cleanliness-window sills, floors, tables, etc. Very dirty and under kept. We ordered two bowls to go, Mint Green Monster and the Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss. The ice cream tastes just like Blue Bell ice cream with a brownie on top. The ice cream was in a small cup, but was placed into a bigger cup. When my friend pulled the small cup out of the bigger cup, it really upset her especially for the amount we paid. The ingredients were cheap quality and did not match up to the price. Unless you're paying an extra $5 for a glass jar, it is not so Instagrammable. Basically $30 for 2 scoops of Blue Bell ice cream and 2 brownies with some whip cream and little syrup and crumbs is insane. Overall, this place must've been great when Instagram aesthetic food pictures were at its peak. This place is the real definition of aesthetic foods aka low quality, but "pretty" for pics. Now it's just overhyped. It might be fun and cool for young kids and teens, but there are definitely better quality dessert options in the area that matches your bang for buck. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this place and don't plan on coming back.

    The Menu!!

Well this was my very first visit and couldn't wait. Saw it mentioned on a FB group I follow for all things Texas and had to make sure to visit when here in Texas with my daughter. We walked in to a huge assortment of ice cream flavors and were able to taste some samples which was very helpful. After deciding on flavors, we advanced to the menu (which is on the wall) or you can scan a code for a menu on your smartphone. Of course I like pics and the wall menu caught my eye immediately. Again so many choices and we were asked if we wanted to eat it or drink it?? In other words...a sundae or shake. lol After looking at our options and because we were sharing a sundae we opted for the biggie and one of their most popular, the Brookie Batter sundae. You get 5 scoops now not your average size scoops as my husband watched and saw that the scooper was half the size of a regular scoop. Also this sundae comes with two particular flavors, but you can choose to change which we did. We opted for marshmallow and salted caramel which after all the yummies it was really hard to taste the flavor of the ice cream. But we didn't mind, because we love ice cream not to mention the nice moist chocolate chip cookie and moist brownie that comes with this sundae. The chocolate chips and thick chocolate (to help the chips stick) fudge all around the edge make it incredibly decadent and rich but yummy!!! You also have a big scoop of cookie dough which was fun to eat with your ice cream. This is definitely a must for those of us who really enjoy chocolate!! All-in-all we (my husband and I) really enjoyed everything about our sundae and may return in the future. The sundae cost $22, but shared it was well worth the cost and we get to keep the jar. The store itself needed some cleaning as our tables were dirty and since the store was in no way busy and there were plenty of workers just standing around waiting for customers, someone should have been cleaning tables and sweeping. Isn't that what you get paid to do as well??!!

Delicious! We got the ultimate Oreo, twister, praline, salted caramel brownie, a mermaid bowl, Dr Pepper floats, and vanilla and strawberry shakes. Everything was so good! Loved that they have a place for you to rinse your jar to take home clean too

Bourbon Bandito and Cereal Killer - $17 each

Three stars for using glass which is better for the environment than plastic. They add a convenience fee on top of state and local sales taxes. Its not explained and only shows up if you get your receipt. Hidden fees are not ok. Convenience fees are not ok and are fraudulent. We will be reporting these fees to the appropriate authorities. The prices are not ok nor warranted based on ingredients. The ice cream used is not premium - Blue Bell is Texas pride and all but not premium. The donuts etc used are sold by the bushel at Walmart and other distributors. Fruity Pebbles are not gourmet. These are not premium ingredients warranting a $17 milkshakes all told (16 oz shake plus topping and whip cream). The presentation is attractive. That's about it. The jar is lightweight, not a heavy glass jar. There is nothing more to the experience to warrant the price tag either. It is not a premium experience. Bored staff, very long wait. For a brand new building, it had single bathrooms labeled male and female (with a damn rooster and cow for f's sake). My gender non-binary companion flipped them off and chose the emptiest bathroom. Overall, the shake was a decent tasty shake, which was fun to look at, which ended up being a huge mess and despite having a large wash station to take your jar home there was a big sign on it saying do not use. ‍ I am glad we tried it but we will not be back.

    Strawberries and cream cheesecake milkshake
    Becky G.

Meh. We had higher expectations of how this would taste. Upon arrival we were thrown off from the plumbing gone wrong type of smell. Ice cream was alright that our boys had and same with the strawberries and cream cheesecake milkshake me and my husband shared. I think the milkshake presentation was the best part! So definitely creative with that. It was mainly a slice of cheesecake drizzled with strawberry sauce and whipped cream set on top of the mason jar. The shake itself was an ok flavor. The crumbs on the outside of the jar also added an extra touch. Honestly for the price, I felt we would have been better off going to Baskin Robins but we wanted to try this establishment out.

One things for sure... Texas can get HOT. If the sun is sweltering and you're in need of some cooling down, a stop here can ease the struggle. Good ice cream, good vibes, good staff - never a complaint when we go here.

The overwhelming sweetness was the main factor for the rating. It tastes like fruit loops with extra sugar. We would not buy this flavor again. The coconut We would rate 9.5 out of 10. One was the Fried Cauliflower and the other was the Tuscan Chicken. She was disappointed to learn they were only serving the Brunch menu and those items we not available until after 3PM. We ended up just having a couple drinks and the Cheese Curds before we left. The Curds were very good, we enjoyed them and the drinks. We thought the restaurant looked very nice, clean and had a fun vibe. I even mentioned that I thought the music was perfect as it wasn't too loud and there was not a song that was obnoxious, just a nice background sound. Service was excellent we had no wait and the server was very prompt. We decided to try another day to try the full menu. I am sure there is some reason that restaurants do brunch only menus. I assume it's because they are higher profit dishes and they can limit the offerings to those types of meals. It just sucks that both Saturday and Sundays they only offer the brunch service until 3PM! I could understand maybe noon but 3 is kinda late in my opinion. Second visit was on a Sunday at 3PM so we could get the items she was interested in trying before. We ordered the Cauliflower and it was amazing. I had a hard time wrapping my mind around that it was just cauliflower! Really good item! We then ordered a couple drinks and then decided on a couple meals that were not on minds when we got there but we were open to suggestions. She ordered a BBQ Burger and I ordered the Fried Chicken Mac and Cheese. I would say both were excellent! Food here is on point. Service was a little off, just our server, not the rest of the staff, I don't know what was going on but I think she may have had another section I couldn't see because I believe we were the only table she had in that part of the restaurant and she wasn't very attentive. I never could see her anywhere in the dining area so I am pretty sure it was something like that going on. She forgot our drinks and kinda our food too. My wife had to remind her that we ordered drinks, which she admitted she forgot. Since my wife was facing the kitchen she could see the food on the counter for the servers to grab, and she could see our appetizer sitting there as well. After about 5 minutes of it sitting another server brought it to our table, it was still very hot and still was very good. Same happened with the meal too, it sat then another server brought it to the table. I would have had a few more beers if we would have had more prompt service, but honestly it wasn't a bad experience. Another noted difference was the music, at first it was the same as before but after about 15 minutes of us being there they began to turn up the music volume and that of course increased the noise level overall as people had to speak louder to overcome the music. It also was not obnoxious just something we both made a comment about. Overall, good place to check out.
