Didn't even try to package fudge. LAZY girl working

Let me start by saying ALL of the products taste amazing BUT the service at this location is terrible! Super lazy did not want to work girlbehind the chocolate counter only one ringing anyone up. Didn't box fudge or even wrap it properly. Just threw it in a bag like we were such an inconvenience. The old Plano location was so much better. Would rather drive to grapevine than this. Super embarrassing for the brand

Can't wait to try the goodies when I get home!

So elated to stop in for some treats! The store was spotless & spacious. I loved that there is a covered courtyard in front of the store for people to enjoy the goodies! I am a huge fan of PB, so I asked the young male staff to help me find all the chocolate PB treats. The male staff knew his placement of all the PB chocolates! I picked the Graham cracker chocolate; marshmallow bar (w/ colorful sprinkles), and PB drops. The drop tasted good & creamy. My fav was the graham cracker covered w/ dark chocolate, which was crunchy with the perfect amount of sweetness! I can't wait to try the marshmallow bar.

We came for ice cream after shopping at Scheels. We have been here before and while it's not fantastic, it's always been fine. Today was another story. We asked for a sundae and were promptly told that sundae's can only be made with vanilla ice cream. Somehow they bent the rules and made it with a different flavor. We asked for hot fudge and were given caramel. Instead of having them remake it, we told them it was OK they could go ahead and just add the hot fudge on top. The manager who was there, let us know that we would not be charged for the caramel. Upon getting our receipt, we were charged for the waffle bowl, ice cream, and three toppings. When we asked what the $1.39 (x3) charges were for, she indicated we were charged for hot fudge, whipped cream, and cherries. I pointed out that there was only one cherry, and she became very defensive and disputed that this is how they stack the charges at this ice cream shop. $1.39 for one cherry? I have never encountered such rude employees and a "nickel and dime" experience for what we got. $16 for this disaster is absurd. Do yourself a "flavor" and head to Braum's down the road and get ice cream for the whole family, exactly the way you want it and with a smile. We will never be back.

The place was packed with a really long line of ppl waiting for their turn. The line was moving fast. The place is huge for an ice cream store and very bright and clean. When we got our turn, we wanted to sample a couple of them but they said they ran out of the sample spoons. We got 4 ice creams with a few different flavors - chocolate, praline, cookies n cream, Superman, and chocolate mint ice cream. The cones were freshly made and tasted good, however, we didn't much like the taste of the ice cream, all the flavors were okay.

No handmade waffle cups. There is your typical cake cone but this shouldn't be the case. Limited selection of ice cream for a cream business. Seriously disappointed. Lots of people working and no one making waffle cups or cones or cups. Would I return for limited amount of cream at $7 for a basic scope of Ice cream, no thanks!i It's rather noisy inside. Sell a lot of chocolate candy, but I came for ice cream and ended up seriously disappointed.

It's good ice-cream- plain and simple! As soon as I walked in, the aroma of sweet waffles, caramel, ice cream, and chocolate filled the air and my nose!!! It's overwhelming with all that's going on in this shop. They have a display of all different types of chocolates. Then there's an area where they have ice cream, and near the back corner, they were making fresh waffle cups/cones. It's a pretty neat dessert shop! Nothing too thrilling or amazing about the ice cream but on a hot day, when it's 104 out, the cold ice cream definitely hit the spot!

Old-like days old fudge that is dry and cracked. Definitely has not been properly stored from the night before. So gross and unsanitary.

This is NOT the Classic Kilwin's ice cream and candy shop from Plano in Legacy at all. This place is gross. It's dirty, the bathroom was gross, lock on the door didn't work, no paper towels, etc. ice cream was dripped on the glass ice cream tub case and hadn't been cleaned probably in days, there were gross finger prints on all of the glass & doors/windows as well which means-dirty! The Carmel and chocolate apples in the case were days if not a week old and they were so old the sea salt had literally evaporated. The chocolates & carmels in the cases all looked old and not fresh. We wouldn't let our kids get any of it. It's disgusting and honestly the health department needs to be called b/c this place is dirty, unkept and unsanitary. The workers were all below the typical Kilwin's standards, sloppy, unprofessional, unkept. The manager was beyond rude and honestly ghetto, when I pointed out the apples looking unfresh and old-she yelled at me in front of our two kids. It's was crazy! The workers at Kilwin's in Plano and Tennessee would never do that. This is not the Kilwin's we have been patrons of for 5 years and have brought our children to since they were babies. The company would so disappointed. I don't know what's happened to this company or particularly this store-if DEI got the better of them or what, but it's unsanitary and a matter of time before someone gets sick from eating at this store. We were just at the one in Tennessee a few months ago and it was just like the one in Plano-Legacy East-clean, classic, fresh, delicious, friendly, clean, happy, professional workers and like what this old school ice cream and chocolate shop has been for 100yrs. DO NOT GOT TO THIS LOCATION!! The HEALTH DEPARTMENT needs to come do a full evaluation on this place shut it down to do a deep clean and they need do be completely restaffed and start over. The workers in Plano used to take pride in making their chocolates and apples and it was an amazing, beautiful, clean store, this store is GROSS!! Dirty-unkept, tired workers who obviously do not care about the patrons, ice cream, chocolates, apples, cleanliness-none of it. They need to all be fired and rehire people into this location that will carry on the classic tradition of what Kilwin's is-a clean, classic, delicious, professional, family friendly old fashioned ice cream & chocolate parlor. This place needs to be shut down and investigated!! Scary! Such a disappointment.

When you first walk inside, you are met with an amazing scent of fresh chocolate and bakery goodies! The guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. He even gave us a sample of his delicious peanut butter and Oreo fudge. My kiddo loved her ice cream so much and she added chocolate sprinkles on top. Hubby got some chocolate covered pecans. I wanted a brownie or slice of cake but they didn't have any. They have whole cakes though! Thanks for our treats!

So not my type of chocolate or ice cream. Prices are high and chocolate is mediocre. And I'm comparing this to authentic Belgium chocolate. Some people like it but I never see a crowd in here. Makes me wonder how they stay open in such a pric area.

Went to Grandscape in the colony and India at Kilwins has the best personality and customer service hands-down

Notice the empty cases on a busy Sunday at 12:30pm. Missed opportunity for them, and disappointed guests.
    Shelley F.

I drove 30 mins to get to the closest Kilwins for fudge and caramel apples. I arrived on Sunday about 12:30. The fudge case was completely empty. When I asked about it, hoping maybe some was in the back, I was rudely told 'it's spring break...we haven't had a chance to make any lately.' They couldn't tell me when they would make some again. When I asked about the caramel apples I was told they make 100 at a time and they are usually gone in 2 days and they last made them several days ago. Wouldn't that suggest that you make them again on day 3? I have really enjoyed Kilwins when visiting Ft. Lauderdale and then recently in San Antonio. I had just run out of fudge and was hoping to get more for my daily indulgence. Was hoping to replenish my stash. I get that they might be a new store and not know how to plan for spring break traffic, but only 1 person behind the counter seemed to care and offer any type of customer service. Everyone else was rude and acted like the customers were an inconvenience. I will probably try the Plano location next time.

    Sad quality

I visited Kilwin's in the Shops of Legacy often and was sad to see them close. every experience was pleasant. Today I visited the Grandscape location for the second time. The first time, the manager with a long beard was mixing the carmel. No hair net, nothing from keeping his straggling hairs from going into eh mix. It was a little gross and have not been back for a while. Today, we were in the Grandscape area and ran by the location. My husband reminded me that I said I would not go back, but with the Shops closed, this is my only alternative. I first noticed that the pecan-covered apples had two different colored caramels. The guy working could not tell me why they looked so different. Then I noticed that the apples looked terrible and were less than half covered with pecans. I was accustomed to how the Shops location always covered their fully. What the heck, since we are here so let's just give them a second shot. I asked for it to be cut as it was not offered to me. The guy got a knife and cut the apple into quarters. I asked him if he could cut it into eighths, and I am not sure what he did as he wrapped it back up in 4ths. Again, asked for eights and he began cutting with a knife. We asked if they had the apple cutter like at the Shops and he said, "No, we had one but someone broke it. They bought another one, and it broke too, so we just have to use a knife. We can't get another one." Ridiculous. Photos shows the poor quality of workmanship and overall quality. The four kids working behind the counter were running around frazzled and needed some supervision. Sadly, we will not be back.

Came by today when they opened up and were pleasantly surprised to find a Midwest ice cream and fudge shop in the Grandscape! Ambiance: cute shop and good service Food: lots of great ice cream flavors. Coming from the Midwest originally I haven't seen Superman ice cream in years so of course had to order a waffle cone of it. What a blast from the past! Nice and creamy and a little fruity. The two berry pie ice cream was really nice too!

Floors were dirty and there was clutter visible in the "food production" area.

First our waiter kept getting distracted by waitresses and took forever to come back to us even just for simple drink orders. Forget about ordering food. Since we were in happy hour we ordered a ton of apps, so disappointing. The food was nowhere near the caliber ridiculous cost. The crab tasted old and like drinking ocean water, the ribs were dry and the shrimp app came with 9 small/ med shrimp for $20. My martini was okay the first round and then the bartender kept adding soda water for the next two. $20 smoked martini was smoked for literally 5 seconds. And then to top of the extremely slow service and mediocre overpriced food, the night ended at 7:10 when the evening hostess came over and loudly announced we were only able to be seated because we promised to leave by 7. One of the most unprofessional and inaccurate interactions I've had. Don't bother. Don't go. Unless of course you enjoy disappointment at a deep cost.
