Our take out order took less than 10 minutes for 10 wings. 20ish aint bad and it can almost fill up 3 people so it's a pretty friggen good deal all things considered. Sassy sauce: Get! Compared to the crisp bbq this one was better in our opinion. Perfect amount of flavor, tanginess, and savoriness. Onion rings: Get Also great as it was amazingly... CRISPY. They put a good bunch in the bag too. It's always just a good pick me up if you're craving solid wings. Crisp has a lot of hype around it, and I think I need to come back and try something else, so this review is mainly for the wrap. I liked the laid back atmosphere and the picnic tables. The burrito was huge and had a lot of veggies and chicken but it was pretty dry and I felt like it needed a cohesive sauce or something to tie it all together. I was putting siracha on every bite, and I was hoping that the chicken in the burrito would be saucy enough itself, but it didn't have much to it. I don't think I would get this again. I got the bad boy Buddha bowl (it's bi bim bap let's be honest) with crispy chicken. I was a little annoyed at first that the added chicken was $5 but then when I opening up the box after getting home I was like "OH okay that's why!" HUGE amount of chicken. It is moist when you bite into it, the meat is not flaky and tastes fresh and are large. The skin though, could use more unique flavors. The Seoul sassy flavor is my personal favorite but the batch I got tasted pretty bland. I can taste the spicyness but not much more. They could have been more generous with the sauce. I ordered the half chicken of the seoul sassy to go and they worked quickly. When I walked in, it was packed and it was hard to even tell where the line was but it was definitely worth it. The space is small but the staff was patient and friendly. I really liked it. The seoul sassy sauce was amazing. It was similar to a soy garlic and it was delicious. The chicken sat on top of the sauce which I appreciated as the chicken was still crispy when I brought it home. Because of limited seating, I would suggest doing pick-up rather than dining in or you can strategize and have whoever you come with watch for seating as you are ordering because it's rare seating is available. Seoul Sassy Whole Wings are top dog, number one. You have to try them. This is the staple meal at this establishment. If you order the full wings, it's like ordering two wings in one because you get the flat and the leg attached to each other. The sauce will be all over your face while you eat, so I try to minimize any eye contact with my neighbors during this dining experience. It's a sight to be seen. Amazing fried chicken! I looked over at my friends' plates and these are legit the biggest chicken drumsticks I've ever seen in my life! I got the Seoul Sassy boneless strips and they were amazing. My friends loved their drumsticks as well -- it came piping hot with super crispy skin. And they are HUGE. I also ordered the Seoul steak bowl which is okay, but I think they're far more known for their fried chicken (and rightly so). The rice and kimchi servings my friend got were also humongous. Some of the best Korean fried chicken I have had in the United States, hands down. The whole bird is a phenomenal deal, you get it usually in ten minutes or so, and you will be very, very full. Split it with one or two other people. I've been here several times and they are very consistent. My only feedback would be to include a medium-level spice for the whole bird, since there's really only mild and flaming hot options. Probably one of my top 5 casual spots in Chicago. It's been 15 years since I reviewed this place and I only gave it 3 stars. That blows my mind because we go here now constantly and it's an easy 5 stars. We love it. Our typical order is mixed boneless wings (sassy and bbq), steak burrito, and fried mushrooms. A couple oddities and things to be aware of. If you're getting takeout, I'd just go ahead and get the pint of Allison's Atomic sauce because they don't give you hardly enough in your order and you're going to want a lot more. But it is like $12. Seems like an odd thing to need more of since it's such a critical part of the experience. It's like not getting any salsa at a taco place and needing to spend 12 just on that. Also it's an awkward place to do carry out too. There's often a single line and a single person taking orders. It doesn't feel like you're supposed to go up to the counter to get your order or anyone to even tell that you're there for a pickup. Sure wish they had some signage of a place to go for "pickup" instead of "order" And it's not a huge place for the business it gets. You could struggle to get a seat without needing to sit elbow to elbow with a stranger. We just get takeout. But gripes aside this place is amazing. People say it's the best Korean Fried Chicken in Chicago, so I had to try for myself. I get the hype-- the value is fantastic (huge portions for a fair price), the sauces are sweet and savory, and the chicken is crispy. I ordered the Whole Chicken with half BBQ sauce and half Sassy Seoul sauce to share with 2 other people. It was more than enough food for the 3 of us for just ~$22. Overall, I was pleased with the chicken-- it was crispy and flavorful drenched in sauce, though the chicken breast pieces were quite dry and less pleasant to eat. The other pieces were more juicy / tender though, so I'll try probably order just drumsticks or wings in the future. Both BBQ and Sassy Seoul sauces were good, and I appreciated the ability to try both flavors. I personally preferred the Sassy Seoul more-- it's sweet and spicy. They also have bowls, burritos, and sandwiches that look really good, so I hope to try them in the future. You order at the counter and the staff brings the food out to you. The inside is pretty small and there isn't a ton of seating overall, so it can be tough to find a table especially if you're with a bigger group.
