Wonderful sandwiches & shakes. The cheesecake is delicious! Thankful for the friendly staff too!

Stopped in for the first time today for the Veterans Day special. We've heard great things about this place so we were excited to try it. The food was great! My husband and I both got the grilled cheese and tomato soup and we had no complaints. The grilled cheese was perfectly buttery and cheesy with a nice crust and the soup had a ton of flavor. I'd definitely go back for the food. Our one complaint is that the blonde female manager working the cash register was pretty rude and seemed like she would rather be doing anything other than working today. When I first walked in I noticed it looked a little hazy, then shortly after my eyes were burning. I'm not sure if something was burnt or their cooking machines always let off that smell/smoke. It was my first time. Now about the food: I got the grilled ckn w/avocado spread & cheese. It was good but I wish it had more cheese. Maybe should've just gotten a good ole fashioned grilled cheese. The bread was good but very hard on the ends. Not many sides to choose from. It came with tator tots. I had shredded cheese over tots but most ended up on the tray and not the tots. The drinks are in cans and I'm kind of an ice freak so I prefer having ice w/my soda. It was good enough I'll give it one more try. read more

This place is awesome and serves delicious grill cheese sandwiches and tomato soups, as well as nice Gouda cheese bites and epic milkshakes in many different flavors. They used to have tater tots but now have things like special fries. Excellent service. The interior is styled with many firefighter decorations and I believe it is a theme. It was a fun atmosphere. Appeared to be firefighter theme and they had a pool table. Service was all right. Food was meh. We tried several different sandwiches. The best one was the P 19. One of us ordered the jalapeño popper sandwich, I can't remember what it was called. One side of the bread wasn't even grilled, it was soggy. There was barely enough filling to separate the two pieces of bread And it was not spicy. That one sandwich plus a drink came to almost $17 with a small tip. I have been looking forward to trying this place for quite some time and I'm just completely underwhelmed. We had a four person group and nobody was impressed. So sad. read more

4 families came in to eat today and we were turned away 48 min before they closed. We were told that they didn't have enough time to serve us. No explanation but that. The manager wasn't accommodating and actually had an "oh well" attitude about not serving us. We wanted to try this place out but they made our decision for us today. read more

This place popped up on Google restaurant search as we were taking our 10 year-old for dinner. Their shtick is fancy grilled cheese sandwiches and they do that well. The decor itself is cool with firefighter memorabilia throughout the restaurant. They offer a discount to Veterans, nurses, teachers and first responders which I thought was pretty cool. For the food, we ordered the 3 Bugles, the Steam Engine and the Flying Fortress. These were recommended by the cashier who took our order. They really don't have service, per se, other than bringing the food to the table. You fill your own drinks and order at the counter. The Flying Fortress was a good hot sandwich. I would order it again if we came back. My son raved about his 3 Bugles and ate every bite. My husband wasn't a real fan of the Steam Engine, but said it was OK. The fries were amazing and I don't even like fries! They could really step it up a notch by offering sauces for their fries other than ketchup. Overall a good restaurant, but be prepared for the sticker shock. A sandwich and fries was $17. Their milkshakes were a kids dream, but at $7.99 (see pictures) or $16.99 "fully engulfed" we wouldn't do it again. That said, it was a fun treat for the kiddo! read more

This was a unique place that my wife and I finally visited. Normally we would try a restaurant as soon as it came to the area, but this one had eluded us for too long. Tonight we came by to try the dinner $10 special. I went with the Red Tails of Teskegee and it was so, so good. My wife tried the KJ Pyledriver. Both are pasta-themed and really surprised us. The treat of the night was the unique Tetris-shaped tots. Hilarious, and yet so good. We just touched the tip of this melty iceberg. The shakes also sounded amazing, but we saved those for another day. More to come when we've tried those. Loved the ambiance here! The firefighter deco was really neat and the pool table was a hit for several of the younger guests. All in all a cool place to visit and a clean break from the national chains. read more

Rude. General manager Suzy was impatient and edgy while my family was placing the order. She once said to her coworkers that she was "stuck" taking our order. The staff seems overwhelmed. My little girls wanted the milkshake w the rainbow candy on top so I ordered it she asked what size so I said the smallest...when the milkshake arrived w out the rainbow candy I was told the candy was only for the large...I said that I was not told that and I wish I was, she rudely told me that I was the only person to ever have a problem with it. I loved this place! Had Chief Russells Melt and the cheese curds and they were awesome! As a former Air Force Firefighter this place was very special with the DoD Fire Service decorations and patch wall. In the mood for cheese, so wanted to try this. You order at counter, so takes a bit to read over menu. The months special was not avil but a new one starts tomorrow. They were short handed with the place full. Lady behind counter said there would be a wait. She was making ice creams for a table of 6 kids. This lady was really running this place almost by herself! She was very friendly. Now for food it was pretty good. The Mule still has my votes but for this area it's good. We had 3 different sandwiches. Flying fortress with brisket, Flashover which was Jalapeno hot but really kinda plain. Then one with chicken n cheese curds that was the best, Shift fridge. Fries were good but noticed that the smothered fries other people ordered were being left on table un eaten. Wish I had the waistline to try the ice cream! They are very fancy but $$. The tots were pretty good too. For an appetizer, we ordered the cheese curds. They were tasty, but I've had better. My son got the kids meal Mac n cheese. He loved every single cheese filled spoonful. However, it didn't not come with a side, just a drink. We also ordered their shakes. I got the small pike pole which was E.T.'s Ice cream fantasy. It was so good that I think I need a nap. It tasted better with every bite I took. My wife got the strawberry shake. It was even better than mine and had fruity pebbles all over it. Yum! The ironic part of this Firefighter themed restaurant is that it was full of smoke.. our eyes were burning and continued to burn well after we left. Food wasn't great I only took two bites of my grilled Athlete sandwich bread was not toasty and sandwich just did not taste good something was off.. on a brighter side the Mac n cheese bites and ranch were awesome and the man taking our order was pleasant. The sourdough bread was great and the tomato pesto on the chicken caprese was excellent! Great place! Service was nice and helpful. Food came out fresh and in a reasonable amount of time. I got the brisket sandwich and tried both the potato wedges and tots, very good. Personally, I would try and figure a way to a little flavor or seasoning to it. The sandwich I had was supposed to be pepperoni, salami and ham but it also came with lettuce and banana peppers (not listed on the menu). Great food and great environment. Ive been anticipating the opening for a while. They've worked on the construction at this place for quite a while. When walking in, it's clear that a lot of detail and care went into this place. I wasn't sure if they were open for business yet because there was no "OPEN" sign. Anyway, about the food. I ordered the KJ Pyledriver, a cup of tomato soup, and a Union Break shake. The food was great and came out quickly. The Pyledriver came on SourDough, with Mozzarella/Provolone, Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, and Marinara sauce. Im looking to try the other items. The menu is quite expansive. I'm sure there will be people complaining about the menu prices, but they're pretty much in line with similar quality joints that you'll find in Midtown OKC/Plaza district. Im really hoping this place succeeds. We need more unique places like Crimson Melt in Moore. Give this place a try! I'll certainly be back. read more

Employees are great, but the product is mediocre at best. Was expecting more for the atmosphere and price point. If you go to sandwich shop and pay $8-10 for only a grilled cheese (no fries or chips or drink), your bread needs to be hearty, high quality bread. This bread is soft, cheap crap that is not much better than wonder bread. Not worth the trouble. Make a grilled cheese with cheap bread at home for 50 cents. Invest in higher quality bread. What a neat restaurant! The environment is so cool with a pool table, murals, and wall of military patches. We got the tetrahedron which was a classic gooey grilled cheese and the steam engine which had a smokey, spicier flavor. The food came out piping hot and was the perfect grilled cheese. Big letdown after such a long wait for it to open. I only give 2 stars because the appetizers had a good flavor as well as the sandwiches in spite of being very skimpy for the price. All of this was $69!! Sent the granddaughters to pick this up, otherwise this would have gone totally different. This order was to go. Ordered 2 Tetrahedrons, 1 Hashtag Athlete, Mac & Cheese Bites, Big Sky Bread Bites, and a 20 oz McKinley Mint Chip shake. Pics will show the gaping difference in sandwich sizes. Didn't get the Athlete pic because my granddaughter wolfed it down. It was almost in between the 2 Tetras. Sandwiches need to be very close in size. Not one of them half the size of the other. Use those smaller pieces for your bread bites. No brainer. Got the smaller size shake even though I paid for the large one - an exhorbitant $13!! Holy cow. It was mostly whip cream. Sandwiches also need to stay on the grill a little longer. Feel like I need some money back for this order. Bottom line is I will continue to be a Tom Chee fan until something improves here. This is a very entertaining sandwich and shake shop. My family dined here on a Saturday evening. There is a lot of fire fighting memorabilia to enjoy. I loved the ceiling lights that were akin to a fire sprinkler system. This was our first visit so the sandwiches were explained to us quite nicely. I got the Red Tails of Tuskegee. It was an ok sandwich. The marinara was put on in just the perfect amount as to not make a mess. That was much appreciated! I chose the grilled option. The small pieces of chicken as opposed to a larger piece of thigh or breast was an odd choice to me but still decent enough. The mac n cheese bites on the other hand were as good as you're going to get! They were crispy on the outside and extremely gooey and cheesy on the inside! The best I've had honestly. Two of my kiddos got the Flying Fortress. One had tots and the other bbq chips. They both said the sandwich was very tasty. My other kiddo got The Tetrahedron and The Pike Pole shake. They said it was a lot of cheese for one sandwich. It is a grilled cheese though so I guess it's good in that aspect! The Pike Pole shake was a sight to behold! It looked very fun to eat/drink!
