(They also rescued a baby raccoon from the pool and helped him return to his home.) The foreman, Ramiro, was great. We walked around first to ensure that he understood exactly what I wanted and how I envisioned the trees and bushes looking at the end. Javier was awesome to work with and it's nice to see the owner picking up a tool and getting in there too. All the guys were knowledgeable and were very nice too, which makes it easy. Cannot say enough nice things about Javier and his crew. I would hope my contracting crew comes off this good. We had a very overgrown house, many years/decades. The bushes, hedges, and mainly the 100+ foot trees needed some serious work. They handled it great and took care of the neighbors properties too. I didn't have to walk through it all each day, it just got done and done to what I think is the right way. They put plywood where it's necessary to protect things and are careful when limbs drop. You can't even tell that they were here besides the yard, trees, and the property, looking great. It was a multiple day job, each day they all were nice, worked hard, and got it done efficiently. Everything they cut looks natural and not just trimmed without care like our other guys, it seemed very selective and not willy nilly. They all went above and beyond what we expected. They were not the cheapest option, but Javier seemed knowledgable, trustworthy, and like he could handle the job from the get go and estimate. They weren't that far out from the cheap guys either, definitely more, but I am so glad I chose this company vs just the cheapest. I asked for severe trimming of an olive (they are quite resilient) and moderate trimming and thinning of our Live Oak in Altadena so as not to overhang on the neighbors and backing them away from the main house for fire mitigation. We are also planning on a new roof and solar installation. Ivo Navarro came on time to meet with me. Very courteous, professional, informative and answered all of my questions. He was very particular about the live oak and ensuring to not harm it in anyway (this is an exceptionally old and large Coastal Live Oak). It is very evident that he cares about trees and wants to ensure the trimming leaves the trees healthy and with a natural look. The crew arrived on time. They all had their safety equipment on. They were very careful to ensure your property is protected by removing (and later replacing) things on the walls, potted plants, patio furniture as well as protecting the chicken coop! Then they placed boards against the nearby windows to protect them. The crew used manly manual tools (which I like - so did the dog and the neighbors) and did use a chainsaw a few times for bigger limbs. There were a total of five men (including Ivo) and ALL were professional, courteous and seemed like happy employees. The end result WAS AMAZING! Natural looking oak and a trimmed up reduced olive. EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED! Oh! And the crew was amazing cleaning up the neighbors yards as well - like REALLY AMAZING job. No casualties in any of the yards!!! Gotta appreciate that!
