I'm proud to say I've had crepes, (Belgian) waffles, and Stroopwaffles here. Not all at once, lol. Each time, my boyfriend and I shared. We did a savory crepe with ham, egg, and cheese. Also mayo but ew. Got that on the side for the boyfriend. Crepe was the right amount of thin and enough to hold everything without falling apart. The flavor of each ingredient was in every bite. We did a Kinder Bueno Belgian Waffle with ice cream, caramel sauce, and whipped topping. Sugar overload but OMWaffles was it good. So decadent and delish. Mmmmmmm! On our trip to Europe this time, we weren't going to be stopping in Belgium so I couldn't get a waffle there, but figured I should still try one in Amsterdam. We came in the evening, and there were quite a few people there already and the table space was pretty full. We got a classic belgian waffle with stracciatella ice cream on top. Both were delicious! The waffle was warm, crispy but soft, and had the perfect sweetness. The ice cream was almost even better - so smooth and the abundance of chocolate flakes within made it so delicious. We stopped by to snag some dessert on our way home. We were feeling ice cream so we each ordered two scoops of ice cream. i was feeling the stracciatella and salted caramel. My ice cream scoop ordered salted caramel and kinder bueno flavors. All of the flavors, especially the salted caramel, hit the spot. When you walk in, you can see them making the crepes and waffles. It provides entertainment while waiting but also tugs on the appetite strings. I don't think I've ever had a stroopwaffle that was freshly made and as soon as I saw it, I knew I absolutely had to order it. Holy smokes, a freshly made strop waffle SLAPS. It was warm and the caramel inside was so gooey. I legit need to start looking up stroopwaffle makers on amazon after writing this. I definitely don't regret dessert from here. This is in the red light district of Amsterdam. You come here during the day and you're fine, but you come here at night, they won't be open and you'll be pushed around with crowds of people. We came here during the day, so we were good. I got the waffle with nutella and strawberries, my kids shared the waffle with white chocolate sauce and strawberries and my husband got the crepe with lemon and sugar for breakfast. They were good, service was a bit slow but everyone was friendly and the food was good. The coffee was made well and my latte came out great, so no complaints here. This is a really casual place with limited seating so don't expect anything fancy. read more

I was really craving a waffle and stumbled upon this place near Dam Square, so I just had to go in. They offer both sweet and savory crepes and homemade waffles that are freshly made to order. I wish I could have ordered everything off the menu, since it looked so good, but we settled on the homemade waffle with Nutella & banana with additional whipped cream & strawberries for EUR 5.40. It was DELICIOUS, and they were quite generous with the toppings. Perfect for 2 people to share, but I probably could have eaten one all by myself. ;-) We were really enjoying hanging out at our table... to the point where one of the staff asked if we wanted some lattes on the house. When in a foreign country on an American holiday, do as the locals do! We searched on google for crepes and waffles and we found this amazing little spot in the middle of the action. We wandered around the cobble stone streets window shopping and getting a glimpse of the beginning of the holiday lights. Seems we are a few days early for the true holiday light events. I ordered the waffle with stratiatella gelato, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The waffle was warm and drizzled with chocolate with two heaps of whipped cream along the sides. Yummmmm to the e! Aidan ordered the Cookie Monster crepe served with caramel and loaded with different cookie crumbles. It was ok but not as good as my waffle. We got two orders, one of the banana almond with Nutella and hazelnut ice cream on waffle and one waffle with strawberries with Nutella and amazing chocolate rice Krispies ice cream. Perfect amount of sweetness. Both were tasty and I'd definitely go back. There's plenty of these kinds of shops everywhere so definitely try, but if you come across this one, it is solid! It's in central Amsterdam around the corner of RLD so it's easily accessible! The workers were EXTREMELY funny and entertaining! They definitely hype up the whole experience! I really wanted to love this place but... the crepes are just okay, nothing amazingly spectacular. The flavor combinations are definitely very innovative, but fail to deliver on expectations. I had a New York Cheesecake crepe, and the cheesecake creme was definitely really cool, but there wasn't enough of it, and the brownie bits were just kind of oddly there... the crepe was also super chewy with no sweetness to it. However, what they lack in taste, they make up for in friendly staff and good facilities. All waffles and crepes are made fresh and to order. I ended up going semi early in the morning. I ordered a chunky monkey crêpe. It had Nutella, chocolate sauce, and bananas. What's not to love? I waited for them to make a fresh crêpe, they were really friendly and I didn't have to wait long. They also had coffee, waffles and savory crêpes. When my crêpe arrived, it was off the hook. The crêpe had an underlying cinnamony sweet flavor. There was a good amount of fruit and Nutella. I ate the whole thing, and it was definitely worth it. I'm probably gonna go again soon to try a savory crêpe! Haha they had one called the spicy Mexican with grilled chicken and jalapeños that I can't wait to try. The only thing I wished to see on the menu would be poffertjes. My (Canadian) friends really wanted to try poffertjes since it's the ultimate Dutch dish to eat, but it's hard to find anywhere at night. I went here when I was studying abroad in May and it was delicious. I got the funky monkey crepe which had nutella, bananas, and chocolate.
