Mmmmmmm! On our trip to Europe this time, we weren't going to be stopping in Belgium so I couldn't get a waffle there, but figured I should still try one in Amsterdam. We came in the evening, and there were quite a few people there already and the table space was pretty full. We got a classic belgian waffle with stracciatella ice cream on top. Both were delicious! The waffle was warm, crispy but soft, and had the perfect sweetness. The ice cream was almost even better - so smooth and the abundance of chocolate flakes within made it so delicious. I would highly recommend getting it!
Got a stroopwafel and was able to customize so got peanut m&m s that got crushed into it. It was brought to me warm and delicious!!
The stroopwafel here is made fresh, and it's served to you warm. It's a bit pricier than what you get at the markets, but still a great sweet treat.
The service was really great! Even though there was a line we got our food pretty quick! And the dessert left us wanting more!
This is in the red light district of Amsterdam. You come here during the day and you're fine, but you come here at night, they won't be open and you'll be pushed around with crowds of people. We came here during the day, so we were good. I got the waffle with nutella and strawberries, my kids shared the waffle with white chocolate sauce and strawberries and my husband got the crepe with lemon and sugar for breakfast. They were good, service was a bit slow but everyone was friendly and the food was good. The coffee was made well and my latte came out great, so no complaints here. This is a really casual place with limited seating so don't expect anything fancy.
I was really craving a waffle and stumbled upon this place near Dam Square, so I just had to go in. They offer both sweet and savory crepes and homemade waffles that are freshly made to order. I wish I could have ordered everything off the menu, since it looked so good, but we settled on the homemade waffle with Nutella & banana with additional whipped cream & strawberries for EUR 5.40. It was DELICIOUS, and they were quite generous with the toppings. Perfect for 2 people to share, but I probably could have eaten one all by myself. ;-) We were really enjoying hanging out at our table... to the point where one of the staff asked if we wanted some lattes on the house. Oops, I guess it was a sign that we were lingering a bit too long... I got a bit embarrassed, so we said no thanks and got up and left.
When in a foreign country on an American holiday, do as the locals do! We searched on google for crepes and waffles and we found this amazing little spot in the middle of the action. We wandered around the cobble stone streets window shopping and getting a glimpse of the beginning of the holiday lights. Seems we are a few days early for the true holiday light events. I ordered the waffle with stratiatella gelato, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The waffle was warm and drizzled with chocolate with two heaps of whipped cream along the sides. Yummmmm to the e! Aidan ordered the Cookie Monster crepe served with caramel and loaded with different cookie crumbles. It was ok but not as good as my waffle. I prefer the coolness of the gelato with the heat of the waffle. I like how you can watch what they are making as you walk in. The staff were all friendly and if you are close by, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

I really wanted to love this place but... the crepes are just okay, nothing amazingly spectacular. The flavor combinations are definitely very innovative, but fail to deliver on expectations. I had a New York Cheesecake crepe, and the cheesecake creme was definitely really cool, but there wasn't enough of it, and the brownie bits were just kind of oddly there... the crepe was also super chewy with no sweetness to it. However, what they lack in taste, they make up for in friendly staff and good facilities. All waffles and crepes are made fresh and to order. There is also free WiFi available if you login to Facebook, and toilets in the back. Food: 3/5 Fresh & made to order, crepe was okay and sadly not memorable. Service: 4/5 Super friendly staff Atmosphere: 3/5 Plenty of seating, great place to take a break from walking Value: 3/5 At round 4-5 euros/crepe, it is kind of normal for the area but still I found it a bit expensive.
This place is great! Loved the crepes with Nutella, banana, strawberry and Oreo. The atmosphere is bright, but a bit loud music, but good music, so nothing that really bothered me. Recommend for a brunch or a dessert, but not for a quick bite, because you will be real full! :)
Came in here after dinner and there were lots of seats opened! We hit here right before the after dinner rush. We got two orders, one of the banana almond with Nutella and hazelnut ice cream on waffle and one waffle with strawberries with Nutella and amazing chocolate rice Krispies ice cream. Perfect amount of sweetness. Both were tasty and I'd definitely go back. There's plenty of these kinds of shops everywhere so definitely try, but if you come across this one, it is solid! Good to share between friends after a large meal.
Crêpes and Waffles is a neat little place near the Dam Square in Amsterdam. I was definitely thinking I need a crêpe in my life, and I stumbled upon this place. I ended up going semi early in the morning. I ordered a chunky monkey crêpe. It had Nutella, chocolate sauce, and bananas. What's not to love? I waited for them to make a fresh crêpe, they were really friendly and I didn't have to wait long. They also had coffee, waffles and savory crêpes. When my crêpe arrived, it was off the hook. The crêpe had an underlying cinnamony sweet flavor. There was a good amount of fruit and Nutella. I ate the whole thing, and it was definitely worth it. I'm probably gonna go again soon to try a savory crêpe! Haha they had one called the spicy Mexican with grilled chicken and jalapeños that I can't wait to try. I definitely recommend this place!
Great service from the ladies inside, great seating area with plenty of aircon. The stroopwaffles and crepes are made fresh and the waffles are made fresh daily and reheated when you order them. Today we ordered a Belgium waffle with Dutch syrup 5/5, the waffles are delicious with the sugar pearls baked in. Dank u wel Crepes & waffles for fulfilling that dessert need! read more

Crêpes and Waffles is a neat little place near the Dam Square in Amsterdam. I was definitely thinking I need a crêpe in my life, and I stumbled upon this place. I ended up going semi early in the morning. I ordered a chunky monkey crêpe. It had Nutella, chocolate sauce, and bananas. What's not to love? I waited for them to make a fresh crêpe, they were really friendly and I didn't have to wait long. They also had coffee, waffles and savory crêpes. When my crêpe arrived, it was off the hook. The crêpe had an underlying cinnamony sweet flavor. There was a good amount of fruit and Nutella. I ate the whole thing, and it was definitely worth it. I'm probably gonna go again soon to try a savory crêpe! Haha they had one called the spicy Mexican with grilled chicken and jalapeños that I can't wait to try. This place was ok. Had the Nutella crepe which was ok and my boyfriend had the vanilla waffle. Nothing out of this world. The cappuccino was ok too. read more

Doesn't disappoint- I mean it wasn't the best waffle Id ever had by all means, but if you're looking for a good tasting crepe or waffle with choices of strawberries, bananas, and/or Nutella this place can satisfy. The waffle was luke warm when I got mine, and the Nutella on the banana & Nutella crepe was smothering. Tasty, but probably my sugar intake for I dunno... a month. read more
