Even if you already have another roofer in mind, it's absolutely worth your time to get a quote from Moon Roofing for comparison. In April 2025, our offer on a house in South Salem was accepted. During the inspection, it was clear the roof needed to be replaced. Our real estate agent referred us to a roofer he knew, but I wanted a second opinion. After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to reach out to Moon Roofing. From my first call, the experience was impressive. Ariana answered the phone right away. I explained our situation and the urgency, and she promised to follow up within a couple of hours. Less than an hour later, she let me know that Armando would be stopping by that evening to inspect the roof, and that I'd have a quote the next day. Sure enough, the quote arrived early the next morning. The roofer referred by our agent also came out and provided a quote. Both companies quoted the same product (IKO Dynasty), and their prices were competitive with each other. After we closed in June, we asked both companies to re-quote the project using a higher-end material--Malarkey Windsor architectural shingles. Moon Roofing's updated quote was less than the other roofer's updated quote. The Malarkey shingles were special order and had about a two-week lead time. Armando managed to get the product in and installed just under that timeframe. He also replaced sixteen sheets of plywood and installed a new skylight, all for a very reasonable additional cost. I have used Oregon Gutter/Exterior Experts for gutter replacement, gutter cleaning, house painting…read moreand skylight replacement over the years. First the good... reasonable prices and the additional subs did a great job house painting & gutter installation was decent. The bad... gutter cleaners leave your yard a mess (aside from a quick blower run on walkways). The worst... the wrong replacement skylight model was procured by the install team who then proceeded to chop on and totally damage my interior trim box. The team eventually got the correct window and installed it however the trim box was not repaired properly (it was covered with additional material vs replaced to original form) which resulted in blocking the ability to install (or access) the screen. The team damaged the screen trying to install and claimed they would replace it with a custom screen that would be accessible. They took the damaged screen and relayed that they would return with the custom within a couple of weeks. Current state after 7 months of contacting both the office and the owner of this company is that i have a skylight in my house with a substandard trim box and NO SCREEN and have contacted both the owner of the business and the office team to try to resolve this for 7 months now with zero progress. Shame on me for completing skylight job payment when the owner pressured me with this outstanding issue and said "Don't you trust me...". (No I do not trust you, Chad.) Proceed at your own risk and beware of additional company names the owner operates under.

The owner was up front with me when he gave me my estimate and said my current roof would probably last 3-5 more years based on how it looked. I had 6 estimates done and he was the only one that was forthright about that. I had a couple estimates that were much higher and the others were within a similar range.
