But if you think about it, would you EVER want to start cleaning your home half way then try and remember what you did versus what you did not do? So Jackie came to the house to assess the first initial deep clean, discuss my needs, my concerns, answer my questions. And I had to get a feel for what she was, how she was, who she was, and what kind of deal was taking place. I'm a weirdo, I fully admit this. I don't like strangers in my home, I don't like socializing in public. THIS IS MY SANCTUARY. And truth be told I'm a stage 5 klinger. Once you have me as a client I may or may not be quite something to deal with. I know high maintenance when I see it [and I'm it..no shame in my game]. When I found this service on Yelp, they were one of two narrowed down, and quite frankly I just liked what they had to say, so they got the bid, pure and simple. AND when I asked her about her staff [because I was worried about turnover in todays economy and the service industry] she was a little taken aback. BUT she defended her staff and TRULY likes her staff, and her retention rate was great, she mentioned. Okay, I will take her on her word. In comes the first deep clean..here we go. She warned me it was a FULL day.. and it was. When I tell you there were no less than 10 people in this house top and bottom floors, I'm not joking. I watched them like bees in a hive. I've owned rental properties throughout the Midwest, I've retained MANY move in, move out and continual cleaning services. But I have never seen what they did. None of them spoke a word. Yet in tandem, did things I never even thought to do. There was no weird odor, no smell, no chit chat, no laughing no talking no nonsense. This group was HERE TO DO A JOB. I sat here, in my chair, in AWE and watched as [what I call kids..all in their 20's and 30's] worked like a successful unit. Here is the truth-I was exhausted. It almost brought tears to my eyes. Watching my home being transformed into something immaculate, my sanctuary becoming spotless. One by one cleaning and picking up as they went, by the end of an 8 hour day they were gone and I had not recognized my home by clock out time. What they did, SHE SAID THEY WOULD DO. No sitting on their phones, no loud music, no TEXTING, NO TALKING TO ONE ANOTHER WASTING TIME.. I was so appreciative you have no idea. I watched them ALL like hawks, but there was ZERO to watch for. It has been months now, and today was my cleaning day. You will not know they are there. You will not know they are gone. I am still in awe, I am STILL as grateful as ever and they will have a lifelong client as long as they are in business. This is a 100% factual based review. I have no skin in this game, I do not know them, but I will tell you this. THEY ARE A PHENOMENAL BUSINESS MODEL. And you would be foolish not to try to secure their services.

Jill arrived with everything she needed, from slip-on booties for her shoes to a backpack vacuum and buckets of cleaning supplies (and of course a mask). She's approachable and professional. We're on a monthly schedule now, but that first cleaning (again, neglected home) is what won me over. I came home to what I thought was an immaculate house. Only there was a note apologizing thhat it wasn't quite to their standards but they wanted to do their best to be gone by the time we got home. Seriously? However on one occasion the company sent two cleaners who showed up 2 hours early and wanted to clean and then did a poor rush job cleaning our house. We complained about this and the next time two other girls came and did a good job. Now that they are back to cleaning again the same two girls have been to our house twice. The first time they did a good job and my wife gave them a $20 tip. A few days later we got a call from the company asking if the girls did a good job and what they could have done better. I pointed out a few places we felt they missed but complimented their work. The second time everything seemed to go fine and we even had them clean the inside of our refrigerator for an extra charge. I asked them about cleaning the floor in the kitchen with a swifer wet jet every time and asked if possibly once in a while they could more thoroughly clean the kitchen floor. We gave them a $15 tip. So today, out of nowhere, I get a call from the company and they are dropping us as customers using the excuse that we are too picky about the work of their cleaners. They charge us $140 to clean our house which takes 2 1/2 hours for two girls to clean. I think the company feels they should only be here 2 hours and they aren't making enough money on our house. I don't recommend Shine & Sparkle if you want a really thorough cleancleaning service.
