Jackie's Natural Cleaning - I'm especially pleased how thoroughly she cleaned the plant shelf.

Jackie's Natural Cleaning is fantastic! Our house hadn't been deep cleaned in decades, and we are…read morestunned by how spotless all the spaces are! Multiple workers worked very hard and were polite and friendly. Jackie came over for a consultation, and she was also very lovely, very nonjudgmental, which is always a plus (lol). She was willing to work with our wonky situation, as we already have a family friend who cleans our floors regularly and we did not need that part of the package. We are setting up a regular cleaning service, now that we can see how nice our house looks once they spruce it up!

Jackies started cleaning my home before Christmas. They have been in my house, approximately 3-4…read moretimes now, with the first initial clean being the "big" deep clean. At first you really have NO idea how much is needed with a deep clean. But if you think about it, would you EVER want to start cleaning your home half way then try and remember what you did versus what you did not do? Right, we don't work like that [no woman ever does when it comes to cleaning our own homes]. So Jackie came to the house to assess the first initial deep clean, discuss my needs, my concerns, answer my questions. And I had to get a feel for what she was, how she was, who she was, and what kind of deal was taking place. I'm a weirdo, I fully admit this. I don't like strangers in my home, I don't like socializing in public. THIS IS MY SANCTUARY. And truth be told I'm a stage 5 klinger. Once you have me as a client I may or may not be quite something to deal with. I know high maintenance when I see it [and I'm it..no shame in my game]. When I found this service on Yelp, they were one of two narrowed down, and quite frankly I just liked what they had to say, so they got the bid, pure and simple. AND when I asked her about her staff [because I was worried about turnover in todays economy and the service industry] she was a little taken aback. BUT she defended her staff and TRULY likes her staff, and her retention rate was great, she mentioned. Okay, I will take her on her word. In comes the first deep clean..here we go. She warned me it was a FULL day.. and it was. When I tell you there were no less than 10 people in this house top and bottom floors, I'm not joking. I watched them like bees in a hive. I've owned rental properties throughout the Midwest, I've retained MANY move in, move out and continual cleaning services. But I have never seen what they did. None of them spoke a word. Yet in tandem, did things I never even thought to do. There was no weird odor, no smell, no chit chat, no laughing no talking no nonsense. This group was HERE TO DO A JOB. I sat here, in my chair, in AWE and watched as [what I call kids..all in their 20's and 30's] worked like a successful unit. Here is the truth-I was exhausted. It almost brought tears to my eyes. Watching my home being transformed into something immaculate, my sanctuary becoming spotless. One by one cleaning and picking up as they went, by the end of an 8 hour day they were gone and I had not recognized my home by clock out time. What they did, SHE SAID THEY WOULD DO. No sitting on their phones, no loud music, no TEXTING, NO TALKING TO ONE ANOTHER WASTING TIME.. I was so appreciative you have no idea. I watched them ALL like hawks, but there was ZERO to watch for. It has been months now, and today was my cleaning day. You will not know they are there. You will not know they are gone. I am still in awe, I am STILL as grateful as ever and they will have a lifelong client as long as they are in business. This is a 100% factual based review. I have no skin in this game, I do not know them, but I will tell you this. THEY ARE A PHENOMENAL BUSINESS MODEL. And you would be foolish not to try to secure their services.

I hired them to do a move-out clean on my small 800-ish square foot unit. The unit wasn't in poor shape in terms of cleaning, so it wasn't like it needed some super intense work. I hadn't been cleaning thoroughly in the short window leading up to the move since I planned to hire that out. When I received word from DeSantis that cleaning was done, I let my landlord know I was fully out. I had already moved out of town so I didn't stop in to check the work. I wish I'd made the drive because it would have saved embarrassment. My landlord should've been greeted by a fully clean home, but they were not. The floors were visibly dirty from my rainy move days. There was food remnants like dry rice on the kitchen counters from my packing. The baseboards hadn't been cleaned beyond my sweeping of them. The tub/shower hadn't been cleaned. Those are just on top of the list. If they couldn't bother to do such basic surface cleaning, how can I trust they actually moved out the fridge and oven to clean in those spaces as they said they'd do? I left a generous tip in anticipation of good work and appreciating someone cleaning for me. I regret doing that. I called DeSantis to ask what happened and why the home was visibly not cleaned (and if it was surface obviously not clean, had they actually deep cleaned?). They said they'd send someone over right away to inspect. It took time for me to arrange that, for my landlord to hang around and wait for someone and go through the issues with them. It also caused a lot of stress during a stressful move that I didn't need. The point of paying someone to clean the place was to remove the stress, not add to it. There shouldn't have been a need for someone to come back and fix the work. I gave DeSantis an opportunity to rectify the poor service, but they chose not to which was disappointing. It feels like all they cared about was getting my money and not actually doing the job they agreed to do. I did not receive an apology, explanation of the poor work or reduced charge for the obviously poor service. But I did receive contact to ask if/when my check was mailed. My advice to anyone using DeSantis (and probably any cleaning service - I've learned my lesson on this first time using one) is to get in writing what they claim they're going to do so you can check over that list. Also, check their work or have someone you trust look over the place before relinquishing it to your landlord to make sure you don't end up in an embarrassing situation like I was.
