I had serenity cleaning come and clean my home last month before a houseguest came from out of town.
The owner came and did her estimate, made comments that my house was very spotless.
My house is always very clean.
I like to have a cleaner come in about every 2 to 3 months and scrub the places that I don't get to. Like cobwebs, the showers etc.
They sent 3 people to my house. When they arrived I was hesitant because it was 2 young boys and then later a young girl came, dropped off by the office lady.
Three people cleaned for 2 1/4 hours which equals about 61/2 man hours between them.
Generally 2 people come and clean my home and it takes them 2 hours which is approximately 4 man hours between 2 people.
I did not want the young boys in my bedroom because I am a single female. So the girl was supposed to clean my bedroom and my master bathroom.
She completely missed the cobwebs in my bathroom after I made a point of letting the owner and the cleaners know to get all the cobwebs.
She missed dusting the headboard on my bed, she didn't clean the mirror on my dresser. Dusting my headboard and cleaning the mirror on the dresser are really super basic things that are supposed to be done when someone cleans your house.
I would had been embarrassed if I hadn't noticed and cleaned those items myself before my houseguest arrived.
They didn't vacuum, shake or in any other way clean the black mats in front of my stove and kitchen sink. They moved them to mop the floor because they were stuck to the floor after they were put back on top of a wet floor.
The rugs were covered in cat hair and debris, worse than they were when the cleaners arrived because they had wiped crumbs from the counter or whatever onto the floor.
They didn't even touch the sliding glass door in my dining room, which is something that every other housekeeper has always cleaned.
They almost missed cleaning the sliding glass door on my bathroom shower in the hallway but I caught that right before they left and asked them to clean it.
They didn't vacuum the cat hair off of the floor well enough before they mopped so I had white cat hair stuck to my floor because it had gotten wet and then wiped around on the floor.
I let the manager know by email when I noticed that the kitchen rugs hadn't been vacuumed. She said they don't usually vacuum them because it messes them up.
But every other house cleaner that I have always had for the last 10 years has cleaned the rugs, so truly it's just an excuse to cover for her team being slack.
Then when I realized that my headboard hadn't been dusted and my dresser mirror hadn't been wiped down and my sliding glass door in the dining room hadn't been wiped down, I sent another email and let her know. She did not even bother to respond, just sent a bill.
These kids were in my house for 6 1/2 man hours and couldn't finish the most basic stuff before they left, although every other house cleaner covers those items in 4 man hours.
Which by the way I didn't give them a time limit so it wasn't like they were in a rush to get it done by the time I allowed. They were just slack and didn't do it.
At 2 1/2 extra hours that I was billed for and they still couldn't clean the most basic, out-in-the open items.
They were nice and super friendly but completely lacking as housecleaners. I don't pay people to come in and be my friend, I pay them to come in and do the service that I am paying them to do.
If the owner or someone from the office had addressed my concerns I would not have left this review. But the fact that I was completely ignored and blown off and still charged several hundred dollars pisses me off! It's unprofessional, rude and disrespectful!
I see that they have had good reviews in the past but note that two of them were five years ago and one of them was two years ago. Apparently a lot has changed. I would not recommend this company, there are much more efficient cleaners with owners that actually care about the customers concerns. read more
