After 21 years in our previous home, our family moved to Salem. Renovation of our newly acquired home was necessary to meet the needs of our family. We completely gutted and rebuilt the kitchen. This meant we basically had nowhere to prepare and store food, Duane and his team worked quickly and appliances that were installed first were the ones we needed most. In order to keep the dust down, our home clean, and protect our little dog, the work area was secured at the end of every work day. The end result is a kitchen that belongs in a magazine! In addition 3R's installed a kitchenette in our lower level and expanded a half bath into a gorgeous full bath while using a tight space very efficiently. 3R's not only does renovations but has come when our home, that was empty for at least a year prior to our purchase, became riddled with huge spiders. He sent someone out very quickly and sprayed the house for both spiders and ants. 3R's has also performed work cleaning and repairing our gutters; killing and cleaning moss from the roof; and repaired a burst pipe. For the burst pipe, we called late at night. Duane immediately helped us turn off the water by giving us instructions over the phone and then he and some of his crew came very quickly to bring fans, fix the problem, help clean, and call the insurance because all work is insured and guaranteed! 3R's has also pulled up carpet, cleaned the area under the house, installed new bathroom hardware, and installed all our light fixtures. Needless to say Duane, Tammy, and crew have been a God send to a family that has been ripped off in the past and have been left feeling unsatisfied. When working with 3R's you become part of the family. We knew every person's name as they were introduced at the door. You are treated with respect, care, and they realize how much is costs YOU to go through a renovation. They are a truly caring, careful, and quality company that we will use, probably, forever. read more

We had 3Rs do a remodel of our basement, which included a mold remediation. It was obviously something new to their "offerings". They neglected to properly seal all the vents including a large main vent, which lead to our entire three level house being filled with mold dust. When I came home with groceries and to use the bathroom, the workman was running through the house with a wet rag wiping down surfaces! He ruined my end table with that water. I ended up at the doctor's office with a horrid, painful cough, and could barely talk. The doctor put me on meds. Then absolutely everything in the house had to be cleaned. They hired a cleaner, who did a bare-minimum, and we did the rest, including every dish, knife, book, table, blinds, etc., This company cost so much more than expected, as if we had an infinite supply of cash on hand. Some of the subcontractors were good, but 3R's also had unskilled labor doing some of the work (their relatives). Finally, we just told them their services were no longer required. The mold was gone, but our basement was back to stud. We went with Salem Drywall, a good company, to put in walls, put the bathroom back in, etc. They were upfront on each item cost and were reasonably priced. Salem Drywall also found the 3R's work quality lacking and they had several things that needed to be redone. Yes, we paid twice, just to have it done up to code. I would recommend you avoid this company based on high cost and lack of best practices. read more

We used 3R's to complete a master suite addition to our current home, and in my opinion I would NOT recommend using them. In our opinion, it appeared to us that the company bid the project artificially low to lock us in to a contract, then drastically upped the price. In an effort to save costs, my husband and I had to purchase all light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, tile and paint out of pocket, purchase and install the flooring ourselves, install and paint siding ourselves, purchase and install gutters ourselves, purchase and install a closet system ourselves, paint all rooms ourselves, and purchase and install all trim and molding ourselves. And even after paying for all of those out of pocket expenses ourselves (that were included in the cost on the original bid), we still had to pay 3R's more than the original bid, for doing a portion of the work. In my opinion, I would not recommend using them. read more

Duane and his crew at 3Rs are really top notch. We were not really expecting to have to tear our kitchen apart and re-model it, but that is how it played out. 3Rs had originally come to our house to clean up a mess under our house caused by some old pipes. The service itself was at a price that was hard to beat. When Dom had finished his work under our house, he noticed the water damage that had recently occurred from the dish washer in our kitchen. After a few pictures and a meeting with Duane, 3Rs was able to work with our insurance company to replace everything that was damaged, and then some. Duane and Casey worked with us, and around our schedule, to get everything done to our specifications. Our satisfaction was one of their main concerns, and that is something to appreciate. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. The do have some very capable staff, Victor was great and a true pleasure to work with. As for Duane West and Cathe West they are both in my opinion liars. Casey in my opinion as a project manager is inept. The project could not meet timelines, I was told over and over again work would be done Friday,Duane Could not explain why my front door was left unlocked with busted key holder hanging off knob, we had several issues that had to be addressed, some several times. Both Duane and Casey blamed sub contractors for difficulties and myself as the homeowner. They cannot explain the their own billing process except to state it is lump sum. Only one customers review, but as one home owner to another you can find a much better company to work with. read more

We used 3 Rs Construction for a leak in our master bathroom (between the wall in the bedroom and the shower). They came quickly, were very professional and helped us through a very stressful time. Their workers were friendly and worked very hard to clean up after themselves during the process. They assisted us with our insurance company and went above and beyond the call of duty. Circumstances with our insurance prevented us from using them for the entire rebuild of our bathroom. It was at that time that I realized what high integrity that the owner (Duane) and the project manager (Jeff) had because of how they treated us at that moment. We were in the middle of selling our house, and the buyer's inspection found a couple of surprises that our pre-inspection did not. 3Rs responded to our request for work with a tight deadline and even finished ahead of schedule. They didn't try to upsell us or pressure us into doing more. As they dug further into the job, they found an additional surprise. They could have charged us more but instead stuck to their original quote. They were willing to work with our buyers, as well, to ensure that the buyers were comfortable with the work that was being done. The 3Rs team has been an integral part of the sale of our home and we're incredibly grateful for their partnership. We'll absolutely be working with them on projects in our new home and highly recommend them. read more

Get a Permit!!! They thought we were not going to have it inspected, they were wrong. They sold us on doing a job on a structural beam, explained the plan to build support structure, replace damaged beams, studs, crimps, ect. Their crew showed up did minimal job, no supports, cut out part of a beam and put in a new board cut too short, not to code or factory instructions. Didn't touch the rest of the job but covered it up. Then wanted full payment for a job uncompleted, and not up to code, and is worse than before they touched it. Had it inspected and failed. Mediations broke down, never admitted their responsibility in ensuring job preformed to any standard let alone structural integrity and building code. read more

They are the best! Thank you Duane, Jim, Carl, and the rest of the crew. Signed the contract on Friday, picked out the paint colors and left them on table inside the house, left Sunday for a scheduled mini- vacation to Leavenworth WA, got home Tuesday and the job was 99.9% completed. We started looking around for the cameras, we thought we were on "House Makeover". They were back the next morning and finished the job. We would recommend this company for its honesty, professionalism, quality of work, and promptness. They cut brush away from the house, DE-mossed the very steep roof, replaced damaged siding, and painted the exterior. We will definitely use them again for future projects. read more

I've needed to have professional testing for radon in our home since we learned from a home test that our count was high. When I left a message on 3Rs 'contact us' home page asking them to test for radon, I was skeptical of hearing back. The next morning Duane called and scheduled to come by and bring testing equipment.
