The only good thing I can say about this is that the roof has not yet leaked. The process of having the roof installed was painful, and probably the most negative experience I've ever had with a contractor.
Ramiro is one of the most fundamentally dishonest people I've ever met. I would call with a problem, he would tell me that what I was saying wasn't true. I would send a picture of what I was looking at, he would backtrack. When the actual workers were on site, they would confirm what I said. He told me that the roof refuse in the attic had been there before, and they had not worked in that area. The man who came to look at it said 'Oh, no, I helped with your roof! See, this is all new plywood here!" Whoops. He also, on numerous occasions, told me that an issue would be fixed the next morning, and then would hem and haw and never get it done.
They also chucked my whole old roof into my raised bed gardens. Killed a whole bed of seedlings. They left all the trash in the yard for days, and I got a nail through my shoe into my foot. Profoundly unsafe conditions. I trimmed one of the tall bushes in my yard last week, and found a whole ball of plastic wrapping from the shingles. I guess they just thought they would throw it into the plants and leave it there.
If you hire these people (they did bid low) take photographs of everything before they start. Everything. Inside attic spaces, your yard, your plantings, everything. Because they will never own up to any damage unless you document.
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemies. Sure, my roof is OK (except for the gutters, which are slipshod at best) but the amount of disaster they visited on my property was pretty unreal.
EDITED TO ADD: I did receive a discount for the damage they did to my plants, but when he was negotiating with me for it, he said "In the conditions (sic) that you do not give us any reviews whatsoever" I rightfully let him know how I feel about bribes, and did not agree to that condition. read more
