Just had my current 20 year old house reroofed by Moser Roofing. Micah went up on my two-story house to inspect for the quote. He found area where roof sheathing had dip in roof and warned of additional cost. Other local 5 star rated roofing company did not go on my roof. Said she knew everything without going up there. Moser's carpenters found the roof dip was due to framing missing when the house was built. It was repaired at very fair T&M cost. Beware of those that could rake you over the coals with unexpected cost. I told Micah my biggest concern was attic ventilation. He agreed and recommended O'Hagin roof vents. Thank you!, I think more people in the NW might be seeing them as best option with high temps coming. We recently had the roof of our church replaced. To be honest, a quality roof should be judged in its longevity so I can only speak to the installation: 1) They beat all our other bids 2) They flipped the entire church roof in one and a half days (incredible!) 3) They were professional, courteous, prompt to reply to our questions and available during the installation I have already recommended them to others in need of roofs and will continue to do so. I did have to run a magnet over the grounds and pick up staples and whatnot but for the price, the turnover and the service, I was happy to do it. Like I said, the proof of a roof is in its longevity and I can't yet speak to that which is why this review is only 4 stars, perhaps if I remember to come on in a few years I can update this review (either positively or negatively). From what I have seen so far, I am very satisfied with Moser Roofing. I read all the negative reviews on yelp and I'm not sure if the company has changed in the last few years but I really didn't have the bad experiences others described. read more

We hired Moser to put a new roof on the house in July of 2006. This summer when we were rebuilding the covered front porch we couldn't salvage the roof because they had re-roofed over moldy wet sheathing and so the whole porch roof was toast. Now the roof is leaking over the bathroom and I just can't wait to see what shortcuts they used caused this. If you use Moser, I guess you just need to plan on re-roofing every 7 years and not the standard 20. Could not be less pleased. read more

We are seniors and live in a senior park. We had a $5900 roof installed on our home in Feb. 2015. Within one and a half weeks we had two leaks. During the install they punched through our drop ceiling, and an another in our window screen. Lots of water damage. Twice now they have sent letters bullying us into absolving them of all liability arising from any damage caused by the contractors that THEY have hired to remediate the damage. One letter came from their attorney - stating that they will repair the damages ONLY if we waive all recourse to our five-year workmanship warranty. We are filing complaints with the Oregon Contractors Licensing Agency (CCB), and the Better Business Bureau, and Consumer Affairs. Please stay away from this business. read more

I bought a house 2016 and it needed a new roof. Went through Moser and I had picked Malarkey architectural roofing material. A few months later I noticed the tiles were lifting on the bottom edge, sort of like half moon shape. The front was about 25% but all the tiles in the back did it. I called Moser and they came out and said it was a Manufacturing defect with Malarkey. I contacted Malarkey and Malarkey was extremely rude. After going back and forth, Malarkey sent me a settlement offer for about a third of the price of the roof, stating that it was "cosmetic" and the integrity of the roof still held. I was not happy with this result. I called Moser back and they called me right away. Moser said that regardless of Malarkey does they are going to install a new roof for me. Moser put the new roof on and it looks great. They did get Malarkey to cover the cost eventually. I would definitely use Moser again. Linda A. read more

Foreman was very unprofessional and condescending. Left the job undone and said they would charge me for them to return and finish it. Roofers left cigarette butts and trash all over my yard. The woman in the office lost our paperwork and had to use my copies of the estimate. I would strongly NOT recommend this company to anyone! read more

Moser installed a roof on the house that we purchased in 2004 (we did not choose them, the seller did). We have had nothing but problems with this roof. When the leaks began, I phoned a contractor who came out and told me that Moser used the wrong size of flashing. He replaced the flashing, but the damage was already done. Now we are putting out thousands of dollars to fix the rotted wood. Do yourself a favor and don't call Moser. What a mess. read more
