After submitting a request thru their website (https://www.jamesroofingoregon.com/contact.html) Cody of James Roofing called and set up an appt to stop by for an estimate. Although I had other roofers out to our residence, Cody was the first to notice some cracking/peeling of some paint near the gutters that he suspected some ongoing leaking was the cause. Just a quick investigation proved he was right, and he gave a couple proposals on how they might resolve that during the reroofing process. We chose to go with James Roofing because of the options they offered in shingle grades, and once we had a bid with both the 'better' and 'best' grade of Malarkey shingles, we were pleasantly surprised at how little extra the best grade cost when compared to the more affordable grade, so we chose the Legacy (best) grade. Cody also asked many questions, including colors of flashing and peak cap styles we preferred, and that lead to a really nice look once the work was completed. Cody and crew arrived on the date he said they would, and quickly had the roof stripped and recovered with the new underlayment just in case any weather might move in. By lunch the first day they were loading bundles on the roof, then worked the next two days to install the shingles, flashing, and we even had them replace the gutters.... all which looks great! Once the work was done, the entire crew worked quickly to get any refuse picked up as well as blowing out any dust & granules that might be on the porches and sidewalks. Can't say enough about Cody, he runs a solid roofing business and we've discovered that he's also been the installer of choice for some of our neighbors as well as several friends & businesses in our area. A++++, would recommend James Roofing to anyone needing a new roof. read more

We own a vacation home in Lincoln City and we needed a new roof and gutters on our home. Getting any construction work done on our place is always nerve racking because we don't live there and can't oversee the work like we'd want to. So, it is really important to find a contractor we trust. We found that in James Roofing. Both Loren and Cody responded timely to all of our questions, gave us accurate lead times and stuck to them, kept us updated throughout the project, and completed it without any complaints from neighbors or the HOA. I was a little leery paying in full a month before we could inspect the work in person, but after a recent visit, I was able to confirm that the work was high quality, their crews left the grounds around the house spotless, and no leaks! What more could you ask for! read more

I had a tree fall on my house during the February ice storm and it did a Lott of damage to my home. A friend of mine who had just had his roof replaced by James roofing reached out to them and Loren, from James roofing contacted me. The roof repair could not take place until the tree was removed, which took 10 days. Loren was not only concerned about the giant tree removal but that my house was protected from the elements. As soon as the tree was removed he was out and got it trapped until the replacement could be completed. Loren, Cody and their team did outstanding work as well as good communicators. My roof looks incredible as well as the rehanging of the gutters. They were wonderful to work with and I will definitely use them again and would highly recommend them. Thank you, Jacque C read more

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value From beginning to end they were thorough, professional, and just a pleasure to deal with. Loren gave us the most detailed inspection of any of the companies we called. Loren, Cody and Pat did the installation of the roof and the gutters. Their work was meticulous and the result is gorgeous. We have a couple of tricky skylights which have given us problems in the past but they came up with great solutions to the difficult flashing. They were always on time, they completed the job early, and left the place so clean you literally would never know they were here. I highly recommend them - you will not be disappointed! James Roofing exceded my expectations. Cody came to look at the job and as we were talking I mentioned several concerns I had. He addressed those concerns and solved some problems. I received two bids and James Roofing got the job because of Cody of addressing my issues, and their bid was a little bit lower and it included the grade of roofing that the other bid offered but as an upgrade with an increased price. The crew that did the roof worked in a safe manner and seemed to be pretty effecient in their work. They cleaned up after themselves everyday they were here. Bottom line is they were very pleasent to deal with and did everything they the said they would. Absolutely no issues came up. I would not hesitate to refer them to others. read more

Highly recommend James Roofing! They replaced our house and shed roofs and the gutters on three buildings early this year. Our roof was leaking this past winter, and of four companies who gave us estimates, Cody of James Roofing was the only one who volunteered to come out and place a tarp over the leaking area before the heavy rains started - at no charge, and prior to us deciding which quote we would accept. Cody is great to work with, responsive in answering questions and offering advice, and was patient through a lengthy decision-making process on my part about selection of roof color/materials. Once the project started, he and his team completed the work quickly, efficiently and expertly. Very happy with the process and the end result. read more

I called James Roofing to request an atypical bid; other companies had shut me down and gone straight to the hard sell approach that would work better for them. James Roofing worked with me on what I wanted to do, added expertise regarding the roofing process, and offered the bid including requested detail, and was competitively priced. They worked with me on scheduling the job around our availability. When time came for the work to be done they arrived on time, worked well as a team, cleaned up the job site when done and did a great job. We were happy with the whole process and plan to have additional work done by them in future. A great company, this is the one you want to call! read more

James Roofing is the person you want to call. They answered the phone, arranged to come out in a impressively timely manner! They knew just what the trouble was and got to work right away! They made the repair, cleaned up their mess and I got to enjoy a roof without a leak! Because they handled my job so quickly I asked about their help with another job just down the road at a friend's house. They were so willing to help and take a look at what would need to be done. They again showed up on schedule, worked quickly and repaired it well! I will go back to James Roofing for any future roofing needs! Thanks guys for being so good at what you do! read more

We needed to bite the bullet and have a new house roof or learn to hop between the raindrops while watching television--so we decided James Roofing was better than hopping in place. They did a tremendous job replacing a big roof, rotted timbers and beams as well as removing strange architectural features left by the previous owner. And their price was less than I had budgeted for--always a nice little bonus! In addition they were pleasant to work with and we miss having them around. I will have to find additional jobs so they can come back. I HIGHLY recommend them. Yvonne & Phil, Rural Monmouth. read more

I have done two projects with James roofing. The first a small outbuilding ,the next was our family home. Both look incredible. When they did our roof they also replaced our gutters. The work was professionally done, on time and at a price that beat most of the others. I had some questions about how solar panels were installed on the new roof and Cody and Loren came out and after checking everything out said it looked fine. Just gave me a real peace of mind. Good guys, good work and a good price. I highly recommend James Roofing. Scott Audiss read more

Cody and his Dad are a great team. They obviously plan the division of work before they arrive on site, so there is no standing around and chatting. They are all business, very professional, and know their job. They repaired ice storm damage on our metal roof, repaired 2 splintered rafters in the attic, took down the old damaged gutters and installed new continuous ones. It rained a few days later and there were no leaks--not even one drip! You would be fortunate if you can get on their schedule, and you will not be disappointed. read more

I was very impressed by the service. Very helpful in spending the time with me to understand all I needed to know - and then some. The roof replacement went in on time and on schedule. They handled some surprise issues with board replacement with ease and it added no time to the project. I think the ridge vent recommendation was a improvement that I would have not considered otherwise and other companies that I quoted did had not recommended. I can easily recommend James Roofing. Very happy with the result. read more

Cody and his crew do a great job for a fair price. They ripped off two layers of old shingles on our vacation home and installed a new roof for us. The job was a messy one but they cleaned everything perfectly and the roof was installed perfectly as well. The price was a good one compared with other bids and James Roofing is a Malarkey Roofing certified installer so you know you are getting a quality installation with an extended warranty. I can easily recommend Cody and his team to anyone who needs a new roof. read more

This was the most professional and personable crew I have worked with in many years of remodeling! I contacted them following a reference. They got back to me immediately, checked the jobsite, provided an estimate, scheduled he job, and completed it all in less than 2 weeks! What a wonderful work ethic! I would use them again in a heartbeat and would not hesitate to recommend them for any roofing job you may need. Thank you James Roofing! read more

Replacing a roof isn't a "fun" home project but Cory made the process smooth and easy. From his first visit for the estimate to the final gutter installation, he communicated clearly and effectively. There were a couple unavoidable delays due to supply chain issues and a truck needing repair, but he kept me informed. The work was done every day before I returned from work and has held up with no leaks during the heavy winter rains. read more

I got several bids and researched all the companies I got bids from. James roofing came in on the top two and their bid was amongst the most palatable. They came in, we're very respectful and safe, didn't need a lot of attention from me, and kept a clean work environment. They also got done in less than a week. When anyone is looking for a roofer, I will absolutely be handing them James Roofing's number! Great job fellas! read more

Excellent Job! I especially appreciated how Cody S. patiently answered all of my questions before and during the project. I also appreciate how they were able to complete the roof when I wasn't there. Cody sent me photos of the progress and although initially I was hesitant to have the work done when I was away, that turned out to be a real benefit. I would not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend James Roofing. read more

Cody was to work with from the time of the estimate till completion, he kept me informed all along. We had to deal with COVID (which they did with masks when needed) and with smoke during the time of the fires (had to delay a few days and quick work early one day due to health concerns). That was totally understandable. He and the crew did a fantastic job and the roof looks great! read more

Highly recommend this company! Our roof looks fantastic. The product was put on in a timely manner and uniformly straight. From the first time we got a bid from them, Loren was prompt, straightforward and honest. Definitely someone you can trust to get the job done right. We appreciated how they cleaned up each day and left the yard and surrounding area, cleaner than it was. read more
