Pfeifer replaced my composite roof with a standing seam metal roof this winter. My experience was essentially perfect, or as perfect as one of the most stressful home purchases you'll make can be. I got four bids from local companies and while Pfeifer was not the cheapest, they had the best combination of knowledge, experience, and price out of the four. Sam's advice about the best underlayment and important details of the panel structure and flashing made Pfeifer stand out from the pack. Pfeifer scheduled the removal of my composite roof for the next time that the weather cleared. Hector and his crew were out here early every day, and they worked hard. They worked almost every day for about a week including coming in on the weekend when the weather allowed. Once the underlayment was on they waited about a week for the panels to get produced and delivered and then Hector's team was back out at my house daily for about two more weeks installing the roof. Higher level supervisors from the company like Christian, Martin and others were regularly in touch and visited several times to make sure that the quality of the installation was up to their standards. Since I don't really know much about roofs there were a couple times when I was worried about the way several details looked. Hector was consistently patient with my questions and every single time his explanation for how he was installing the panels matched or exceeded the manufacturer recommendations I found online. My roof is significantly more complicated than I appreciated at the start of the project, but by the end I was confident that each valley, pitch change, and vent was expertly flashed and sealed. There was a small amount of additional work that needed to be done around some siding on the house, and the quality and the cost of that work were both fair. Metal roofs are a craft, and the details matter for the roof's long-term performance. Once the roof installation was done I asked an expert roofer I know to come out and provide a consultation for me about the quality of Pfeifer's work. He doesn't think very highly of roofers in general, but he was quite literally floored by the multiple signals of extremely high quality work he saw on my roof. Needed a roof cleaning, e-mailed for an estimate, and within a couple of days (It was Memorial Day Weekend) a polite estimator arrived by the name of Eric Duarte. He finished his estimate in about 20 mins, and quoted me a very reasonable price to clean and treat my roof which was literally covered in moss under the shade of a large tree on one side. One week later they had a crew out and working. They were professional, didn't make too much noise, and cleaned up everything afterwards. The roof now looks great! No visible moss, and the treatment made the shingles look brand new. I would recommend Pfeiffer for any roofing jobs. Very important to note that Pfeifer does not warrant their repair work if they did not install the original roof. They applied mastic to a flat roof area along with seams, corners and curbs. Less than a year later, the mastic had bubbled, disintegrated and was blowing off the roof. A representative came out and said they would make it right. Instead and after chasing, I was E-mailed an estimate to re-do the work with the same material for $1200. I received no further communication nor explanation . I have since had multiple roofing cos assess the situation and all have validated the material was not properly cured and has since alligated not just on one but on multiple areas where it was applied likely due to pooling water and excessive heat. Simply put, their repair work is not warranted work and this is certainly not what I would expect from a reputable company. read more

5 years ago they installed 2 skylights in my house in mcMinnville. 2 years later dirt got into one of them. They came and fixed it. So far so good. Then 2 years later dirt got in both of them . I called and their representative , Brody W. came , took pictures and then gave me an estimate of around $290 to clean it because the warranty was just for 4 years. The house is just 8 years old, clean in and out, no reasons to believe that I caused the dirt in the skylights. It obviously the way they installed them . I understood that the warranty was over but I felt that is still their responsability (at least for one of the skylights which was fixed under 4 years ago). I offered to pay half of their quoted price. Brody said that he will ask his supervisor Sean and get back to me in a day. That was in February 2023. Since then I called him at least 5 times and left messages. One time he answered and said he is going to get back to me with an answer in less than a day. 2 months (May 2023) later still no answer. I called their main office 3 times, I was told that the supervisor will be informed and call me back. Nothing. Today I called again and talked to Erica who was professional as she was before when she answered the phone. This time, after apologizing (again) for the sale representative and his supervisor she informed me that they cannot reduce the service fee. Even if I don't like it , I just wanted an answer. 4 month later is just not professional so I hope Brody and Sean will learn something from this. Meantime I will contact the other company in Salem (their warranty for Velox skylights is double than Pfeifer) , pay the full price and hope for the best. And by the way , I will installed 2 more skylights but not with Pfeifer. Sorry for the long review. Alex read more

Our fascia gutters were replaced and painted at a cost much less than the other estimates we received. The only problem we encountered was the scheduling: twice, the dispatcher called and canceled at the last minute. We hired Pfeifer Roofing for an inspection on our tile roof. The inspection costs $195 and the report was a form letter stating what type of roof we had. The letter stated the roof had another 3-5 years left, but when we called because that didn't match several other assessments, the inspector admitted that is a form letter they use because they don't want the legal liability. Not only is the letter incorrect information and unprofessional, but his words were "too bad you already paid the fee". Needless to say, we will be looking elsewhere next time. read more

We had a bad leak(s) and Pfeifer was able to come out and reroof the house within a week. The job was completed in 2 days. We also had them install new gutters and they were installed a few days later. the work was done well and a Pfeifer inspector came out several times during work and after completion. We did have.a minor problem in that the anemometer was broken during the work. one day after I drew this to their attention, it was replaced. Very good service. Now we need a heavy and windy rain storm to test the results. read more

I hired Pfeifer Roofing, Inc. to inspect my roof and gutters for damage and function at the end of this winter. From the moment the clean white truck arrived I was impressed. The gentleman came to the door wearing a company uniform and introduced himself even before he got the ladder off the truck. After about 45 minutes the man informed me that the roof was in good shape but did need some minor repairs and my gutters needed a good cleaning. He provided me with an estimate for the work which I thought was reasonable. Two days later another crew of two men showed up to do the work. They too arrived in a clean truck and were wearing company clothing. They introduced themselves and went to work. Immediately they put down drop cloths to protect the yard and plants and covered the grass with plywood where they would be walking. I couldn't believe how quickly they completed the work and how nice everything looked when they were done. I can honestly say they left my yard and house in better condition than when they showed up. Very difficult to communicate with individuals actually doing the work. Skylight was installed by pounding nails through metal frame rather than drilling holes. Concussions caused plaster to fall from inside. I had to repair the damage because I didn't trust them to come inside. Although contract was fulfilled, other promises were not kept. We used them to put a new roof on our home 5 years ago and so far it has help up well. After the last wind storm a piece of our rain gutter fell down so we called them for a repair. They were very busy and said they would be out in a week to do a repair. A week passed, the repair person came out and we come to find out they don't do repairs. Today we received an estimate in the mail to redo the entire house. We were very clear what we wanted when we called the office.
