I guess it should've been a red flag that Good Stuff had a 30 min wait while Crème de la Crepe was empty. But I was excited to eat here since I'd grown up going to the one in Redondo. Things started off promising with our server, Destiny. She loved our dog and we appreciated that she set an outdoor table for us. But when service actually started, it all slowly went downhill. A canned drink we ordered had dirt on the lid. No big deal we thought and just requested another one. Destiny for some reason took this personally and the attitude started popping off from there. It's not like we said it was covered in rat droppings or something! She took our orders by memory and of course, an item came out wrong. Instead of apologizing, she again made it seem like it was somehow our fault. We were so put off by her attitude, we didn't even complain when the burger came out RAW. Just look at this picture. Yuck. By the time this happened, the service was so awful we just wanted to get out of here. While waiting for our check (which never came, we had to ask for it ourselves), I went on Yelp and noticed that Destiny had other terrible reviews about her! Why is she still employed here? Maybe she's the owner's daughter, which might explain why she took mistakes so personally. In any case, we were lucky enough to dissuade another party from having lunch -- they were viewing the menu, asked us how our experience was, and we were glad they were spared. Hopefully this review will stop others from the same awful experience. But there's a reason this place is empty on a Sunday when the PV Fair is going on. Just go to Good Stuff next door! read more

Alright, Creme De La Crepe is making its way up into the hills of Palos Verdes, and rightfully so. It's a great spot for... well, crepes. But honestly, their eggs benedict are pretty good and (per my gf) their carbonara is to die for. Now, i'm just gonna focus on what I got. Which is the french benedict. There's something about it that just seems right. Is it the potato gratin? Probably. But pair that with their jam and baguettes and you have a nice hearty breakfast. Beyond that though, this Creme De La Crepe isn't all too different from the Redondo Beach one so if you're hard pressed between one or the other, either is acceptable. read more

I came here after a performance nearby with a large group and it had a set menu with choices we ordered prior to arriving.... I only thought of this place as mainly a sweet or savory crepe place and I've only been 2 to other locations Hermosa Beach and Long Beach... I think we had about 50% of the restaurant and they were very accommodating for the group as we had some extra people as well and some other props inside. The food was good and much better than I expected me primarily eating Vegan nowadays....the others all pretty much enjoyed their meals... The servers were great and friendly and PATIENT with us.... We had some extra people and they still let us order food for them from our set menu even though it wasn't in advance.... We had 2 types of wine available and some other drinks for those not consuming alcohol.... We even did a birthday cake which they kindly kept in the back fridge for us... Overall I would give this a 5 Star for Service and Food...and would definitely come back because of this.... After that I had to go back up to the front again to give the bill with my credit card. The waitress Destiny didn't even say thank you. I also heard her say to the white customer in the next table that she was very tired and overworked!!!But that is no excuse for this terrible service. My son and I said that we will never visit this restaurant again even if you paid us! I plan to call up the owners of Creme de la Crepe and complain about the horrendous service. I loved how the tables had small bouquets. There were three types of flowers in each vase! I thoroughly enjoyed my omelette. The mozzarella cheese was a nice change from the usual cheddar cheese on most omelettes. The pesto on top of the omelette was tasty! The thick slices of potatoes made the potato gratin!! Basically day old break when you cut inside. We also got the Belgium Waffle. It was NOT a Belgium waffle. It was just a regular thin waffle I could have made at home in my own waffle maker. Truly a little taste of Paris nestled discreetly in the remains of PV's only outdoor mall. Having grown up in PV, I've seen businesses come and go, but hope Crème de La Crepe is here to stay! We ordered the fondue appetizer, pasta carbonara, French onion soup, lobster ravioli, almond encrusted sole and burger. The fondue was tantalizingly rich and definitely had a generous hint of white wine which enhanced the velvety texture. Honestly everything was scrumptious-- we had room for a desert fruit crepe which was light but very buttery. I was quite charmed as well by the ambience - the room felt like a quaint Parisian cafe adorned with vintage posters and Bordeaux red walls.
