Dr. Young and Dr. Lucena are very empathetic and caring doctors. Dr. Young gave me a clear explanation of my treatment options and I had a very smooth procedure. I had minimal pain or swelling afterwards and recovered well. Dr. Lucena gave me a through gum exam and lots of helpful advice for maintaining gum health. He went above and beyond and helped me decide between treatment options even when I was out of town. My nurse Christi and the rest of the staff have been incredibly helpful; they always provide very kind and quick assistance whether it's requesting a copy of my records or rescheduling an appointment! Eva was so kind and patient while I took out multiple facial piercings so they could do the CBCT scan and identify the problem. Dr Wong was very professional, kind, and gentle with my daughter. However, I am not happy with the lack of communication and fees that we have been charged. My daughter has three insurances, and we were still required to pay $551 out of pocket for a disposable mouth piece, and for the Dr. to "manipulate" a 3D image that was taken on our first visit. We were not charged on our first visit nor were we asked before they did the X-rays. I find it hard to believe that the throw away plastic thing that they put in my daughter's mouth was as costly as they are billing for. It just seems very scammy and just be aware of these charges when you go in. Even if the procedure is covered by your insurances, they will find a way to make you pay something. read more

First to start the front office staff, truly kind and patient with you. Always so welcoming when they answer, you can almost feel the smile on the other line. Making an appointment was so easy! Keeping it was hard due to my work schedule but they never gave me a hard time and were so willing to work with me. Secondly Evie who worked on my tooth with the Doctor, so kind and attentive, made me feel at ease. Very graceful I appreciated her checking on me every few minutes to make sure I was comfortable. The tools used were not ones I have seen in other root canals, it made it so easy to keep my mouth open without straining or pain. Very professional and honestly quite refreshing knowing how sterile and organized the process is. Dr. S. Young was also great, he answered my questions and addressed other possible needs that he had noticed. A doctor who focuses on the entire situation to me is an exceptional physician. Society has become a get in and get out process. It was relieving to be asked and heard about other possible problems and needs regarding my teeth. Very impressed with the clinic, the staff, the technology, and the entire process. As a new patient they inquired about my level of discomfort (none) and then scheduled me to see a doctor 3 business days later. The clinic lobby is beautiful. The administrative person was very kind and helpful, and I was called in right on time. Doctor Scott Young was kind, helpful, engaged, interested, and spared no time evaluating the 3D imaging of my teeth that was taken right there. Wow! I can't say enough about this facility. From the promptness of scheduling to the professionalism from staff. The chairs were the most comfortable dental chairs I've ever sat in, they give you headphones to watch tv on ceiling during procedures and the dds that worked on me was super courteous and extremely quick. The root canal was done in under an hour start to finish. I wouldn't say it was enjoyable getting a route canal but it sure wasn't miserable as past experiences have been. Pricing is a bit higher then average dentists but I will gladly be paying more for all procedures in the future for the comfort factor read more

Had my first root canal today. The office staff was great. Dr. Scott was amazing. He explained the procedure and asked if I had questions. The procedure lasted about an hour. The worst part was the injection which was brief. After a few moments letting the anesthetic do it thing Dr. Scott started. He updated me with what he was doing. Before I knew it, I was done. I was given aftercare instructions and sent on my way. The whole process was nearly painless. The time in the chair was nothing but small vibrations and a bit of pressure. Where do I start? The last 2 years I have had one dental issue after another, resulting in losing 4 teeth total at different times. I have put off a nagging sensitive area just not wanting another couple thousand invested in my mouth however when the throbbing started my dentist was working to break his quarantine to see me in office. I needed a root canal on an old root canal gone bad. Dr Mark Young fit me in less than 48 hours later and is my hero for saving this tooth. He is gentle, kind and funny and put my fears at ease. All of his staff were sweet, kind and accommodating. Perfect customer care for people in pain or fearful. Where do I even begin... First, my dentist took images before referring me to Creekside for two root canals, then I had to have a consultation with more images (which billed $350 to my insurance) just so the Dr could explain to me what a root canal is and why it's needed (not my first rodeo, dude. One look in my mouth would have told you that, but hey...bill insurance as much as you can, amiright?) The day of my root canal arrives and I check in where I'm told that my insurance has maxed out, but they'll give me a $200 credit to help offset that (remember this $200 credit for the future). Eva takes me for even more images and keeps saying "okay, so it's your lower left.." to which I say "NO, UPPER left." And she says "okay, let me take another X-ray..." Eventually I rationalize that it's the Dr who needs to know which teeth he's working on, not the tech or assistant. Dr Hwang arrives and I tell him that since I have dental phobia my anxiety gets high and I tend to burn through the novocaine pretty quick. He assures me that the novocaine he uses is great and there won't be an issue. Then he starts to use a topical numbing solution...on the upper right side of my mouth. I had to correct him and remind him that the teeth being treated were on the other side of my mouth. We get into the canal treatment, and I have problematic roots that curve, so it's taking longer than typical. I say "ahhhh, hurts" and Dr Hwang kept scraping the roots while saying "really? You can feel this?" YES I CAN FEEL IT! This is why I told you I burn off novocaine fast! If I'm making noises that I'm in pain why why why are you still scraping???? That is just plain sadistic! All in all, between my problematic roots and the assistant/tech not being able to line up a good X-ray to see if the job was done right, the whole process took over 3 hours. And remember that $200 credit I was given since my insurance was maxed out? Yeah, I got a $200 bill from Creekside two weeks ago. I guess that credit was only temporary. read more

I am shocked.... The customer service at the front desk is so terrible and unprofessional. The 2 girls sitting at the front desk a Hispanic girl and the white girl with strawberry blonde hair. Please DO better. You both are the face of the office. If you are rude or unprofessional that drags the entire office down. If the doctor is running behind which happens! Check in with the patients in the waiting room and apologize and let them know instead of waiting for them to get irritated about the wait and for you to snap back at them. Also if I'm signing any paperwork I in fact have permission to snap a photo if I'd like/ there's absolutely no reason for you to roll your eyes YOU ARE AT WORK IN A "professional" setting. Dr. Zhuk is a very honest guy and I appreciate that about him! I have horrible teeth and more root canals than I can count! I had 1 tooth that abscessed and had to have a root canal right away and 2 others that we need to keep an eye on ! I was seen here after a sub par dentist put in a root canal that subsequently became infected. While they weren't able to save the tooth - the assistant here, Kristy, was super helpful and kind. The whole side of my face was swollen and I was in excruciating pain. She took the time to tell me what I can do to help the swelling, pain and infection. read more

Dr. Ruvim Zhuk performed a root canal on my lower left molar this morning. If you have dental anxiety like I do, you may have questions like: What if I get an anxiety or panic attack during the procedure? Do I have to sit on the chair during the entire procedure? Will I catch my breath? Etc. Etc. Trust me when I say this: Have no such fear. Dr. Zhuk (and I assure you all the doctors there) are amazingly patient, kind, respectful, and understanding of all your needs and fears. You can move, sit up, walk, during anytime, and there will be no pain. Starting with the numbing gel, you will be given numbing shots slowly and gradually until you are dead numb. The shots don't hurt, the procedure won't either. The view outside is awesome (full length glass with landscaping outside) and it will alleviate your claustrophobia, if any. He let me sit up and relax and take a moment or two whenever I wanted, and once my inner child fathomed this, I was relaxed. Dr. Zhuk is so kind and smooth - he is almost invisible. Dr Hull and staff put me a ease the first visit, took their time to make sure every question was answered to my satisfaction and explained everything in detail. Beware they only take Delta Dental insurance, but don't tell you that. I had an appointment scheduled and provided all my information, including insurance coverage, when they called to schedule it. I checked with my insurance before my appointment and found out they weren't contracted. When I called the office back to mention this she casually says no we're not you will just have to pay more since your insurance will cover a lesser amount. Um what?! I ask her why I was never told this when I provided my insurance information and she didn't even bother to answer my question. Seems pretty shady business practice to not inform patients they aren't in network with their insurance. Glad I checked before my appoint and a hefty bill. read more

I believe Dr. Mark Young is the best Endodontist in North California! I had the privilege to work along side him, assisting him during treatment for a number of years. His level of skill made it look effortless while truly caring for everyone around him including his staff and patients. I can't recommend him enough. I looked at my insurance, and the bill and I absolutely don't owe them anything. I was given a discount for paying cash up front, and now they want the discount money back? I visited Dr. Young today for a root canal and can honestly say I received 5-star treatment. His dental assistant was very informative and friendly and kept my mind at ease as I had a previous root canal that did not go well. After completing the initial scan and the standard stimulus tests of my tooth, Dr. Young did a great job of listening to me describe my symptoms and allowing me to come a decision of a root canal on my own. While I did not show any symptoms through these tests, he had me swish a small amount of cold water on the tooth and told me some times the tests can miss a nerve that is inflamed. He did not pressure me into having it but based on what I been experiencing I knew I was ready for one. When I explained that I do not get numb easily, he also did a great job of listening and ensuring me that I would be well anesthesized before he began. Sure enough when he started working on my tooth, I did not feel a thing. He worked quickly but was not rushing and it was over in no time. I know most endodontic treatment usually occurs through referrals from your primary dentist, but if you need to make a choice about an endodontist to visit, I highly suggest you visit Dr. Mark Young. read more
