I chose Dr Vardanian as my new dentist because he was on my selected dentist list provided by my insurance company. He promised a quote that was half the price given by my former dentist, so I decided to have him do the implant. After it was finally completed, it had cost $2,000 more had been quoted originally! And he remarked that the insurance company hadn't paid him anything back to give me (which he had promised about 5 times during the year and a half!) I wouldn't recommend him solely on this basis: I can't trust him.

To start, Dina at the front desk is awesome. She has been there for as long as I can remember and she knows her stuff. Throughout the years I have changed insurance probably 5 different times and Dina always handles all of the paperwork/billing flawlessly. She is prompt about calling to confirm your appointment and is just about the darn nicest person you'll ever meet. My hygienist that performs my teeth cleanings is Jennifer and she is awesome. She is thorough, talkative, and friendly and doesn't rush through the cleaning but also doesn't draw the whole thing out. She makes the whole experience easy and entertaining. I have also had Pam as my hygienist before and she is equally as great as Jennifer. Dr. Jaeger is perhaps the most honest, no-nonsense person that I have ever met - dentist or not. He does not coddle you or make mindless conversation. He gets right to the point and does not waste any unnecessary time. He is a wonderful dentist that knows exactly what he is doing. Dr. S. is very professional but also kind. He listens to you describe your reason for the visit (pain in a molar that was recently crowned by a former, unskilled dentist), does a test to make sure the tooth really needs a root canal, and then proceeds in an orderly fashion to make it all better. His equipment is high-tech and his skill level is excellent. The root canal cured my pain. It took about an hour (less than I expected). My discomfort afterward was nothing like most people complain about. I took one or 2 Ibuprofen over a couple of days and that was it. Dr. S. also offers a free (!!) check up in a few months to check on the tooth. If you need a root canal this is the guy to go to. P.S. I had no issues with front desk personnel, so maybe the "incredibly rude" person that George W. had to deal with is no longer working for Dr. S.

BACKSTORY: I had told the office when I first made the appointment that I hadn't been to a dentist…read moreall year but I did get my wisdom teeth removed a few months prior. This was mentioned BOTH on the phone during appointment booking and to woman performing cleaning when I arrived. Ive had two appointments with Wood Family Dentistry. First appointment went fairly well. Dr was nice but wanted to do a lot of my teeth. The issue I had was being charged for a service I didn't request/ know I would be charged for I scheduled my cleaning on second visit. While I was there the woman doing my cleaning also did the gum test/ number thing that takes about 2 minutes (probably less) to complete. I wish I would've known to say no but I was unaware I would be billed for it. I then received a bill for $70 for that gum exam. For something that took barely a minute to perform. I texted the office about it curious as to why it wasn't covered and they proceeded to tell me that if I actually hadn't seen a dentist this year like I said it would have been covered. Turns out when I got my wisdom teeth out that office also charged me for exam on day of removal on top of my initial exam. Moral of the story they're all scammers and don't care about you. I paid my bill and told them to never contact me again. ALSO the front desk lady also made a super passive aggressive comment when I first came in that I gave them the wrong number when I called to schedule appointment. I know for a FACT I did not give the wrong number because I called from my work number and call about 30 people each week for work and 80% of the time have to leave a voicemail. I said the same exactly thing I ALWAYS say when giving my phone number: "it's the same number I'm calling you from now, which is 916-***-****". Whoever wrote down my number messed up on the last digit and she blamed it on me which was whatever I just took blame for it and said sorry and moved on. Then when I was leaving I had mentioned potentially getting Invisalign again. The last orthodontics I went to by where I used to live said they have like a 5 tray program to just fix any small movement as my teeth are pretty straight just a couple could be straighter. I mentioned this to front desk woman and she said "oh thats not a thing you have to redo the whole program" and I said "oh my last orthodontics said I could do that I guess I'll just have them do it" and she said "oh well actually we can probably do that let me ask the Dr" Anyway BAD experience would NOT RECOMMEND

Scolded me for not getting my wisdom teeth taken out before my age of 25, and said I "caused this to be worse for waiting" like I had money and insurance at 18. Worst part of this experience was with the billing department. They lied and said they called my insurance provider to check if I was in-network. They said I was, and provided estimates. Not until after my costly surgery did they say "oops, actually you aren't, and we aren't responsible for that". My insurance confirmed over the phone that they had told them clearly I WAS NOT IN NETWORK, and this dental office STILL provided me paperwork and a treatment plan saying I was in-network. Now that I've called and tried to fight this, as it was not my mistake made, they are trying to say they cannot "guarantee estimates" which is a big fat cover up and phrase used to say "we don't want to be held responsible for not doing our jobs correctly". So now I am stuck with a $500 bill I can't afford. DO NOT LET THEM CONFIRM YOUR INSURANCE INFORMATION. They will get it wrong, and then charge you more.
