This place is deserving of more than 5 stars. From the front office staff, the dental assistants (shout out Stacy), and Dr. O'Dea, everyone was kind, professional, and gentle. I haaaaaate going to the dentist or god forbid, the endodontist and they all made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. While I didn't end up needing a root canal if I did I'd more than trust this office to take care of my needs. 10/10 recommend! read more

I've had the unfortunate pleasure of needing not one, but two root canals in the past year, one with Dr. Kevin O'Dea and the other with Dr. George Hwang. Both times, the job was done right, cleaned, sealed, and restored in under an hour. No fuss, no complications, just solid work Referral Process and Scheduling (5/5): Absolute breeze. Multiple locations meant I was scheduled within 48 hours of my referral, which is practically a miracle when you're dealing with tooth pain Billing and Insurance Handling (5/5): No shady surprises here. They work with multiple insurance carriers, offer interest free payment plans, and clearly break down costs upfront. Exactly how it should be Pain Management (5/5): Dental pain is straight up misery, but these guys know what they're doing. Unacceptable what the did with my bill I authorized treatments of $175 out of my pocket. They threw in a treatment today and put it on my bill for next week that I didn't authorize. This is unacceptable and so I don't know what I'm gonna do yet. read more

I'd never in a million years wish a root canal onto anyone, but it did unfortunately happen to me. I called, the office scheduled me in next day. I was ultra anxious and nervous, checked in, easy. Ample parking and clean, big office. Front desk were very professional . The assistant which took my x rays, and assisted during procedure (can't remember her name), very sweet, calming and reassuring. Dr. Shen pretty much came in and didn't her thing. She's pretty bad a#$! I was there about an hour, and started to feel things towards the end, otherwise, all before was pain-free. Check-out simple, the music was actually soothing, be it religious or not, it did help me out. Iced when I got home, slept great all night, best sleep since agonizing pain, my mouth feels so much better! Little neck pain or stiffness, but I'm sure normal. Pain is very minimal. When I went in to my dentist's office for my 6-month cleaning a discovery was made... not a good one! I needed to be seen by a specialist. Thank goodness they referred me to Dr. Young's practice! He and his team were professional, prompt, caring, thorough, and above all what really shines through is their honesty and integrity! They're in the business of doing root canals. In my case, he delivered the news that one of my problems might have a 50% of being saved and the other was "Slim to none." The office was clean and the staff were friendly. I did have 2 issues with office: Both times I was seen, the dentists were running at least 30 minutes behind. Patient's time should respected and valued especially with the cost for services they charge. My other issue is the Bible in the waiting room and the religious music they play in the office isn't very inclusive for people of other faiths. I realize the owners can choose what music is played....they may just want to consider their choices and create a more inclusive environment. read more

This review is actually for Dr. Lincoln Nguyen at the office on Secret Ravine Parkway, although my husband saw Dr. Eric Young initially and was very impressed with him. Dr. Young referred him to Dr. Lincoln for an extraction, bone graft, and implant. Dr. Lincoln is truly exceptional. My husband felt absolutely no pain, either during the procedure (I.V. sedation) or afterwards. We were expecting considerable pain and swelling after the extraction and bone graft, but there wasn't any. He slept most of the day of the procedure. Today he had his stitches out and again, no pain or discomfort. We would recommend this doctor to anyone seeking endodontic care, especially if you have to have a tooth pulled! 5 stars isn't enough for this dental office! I called asking for an emergency root canal on a molar and they fit me in the same day an hour later. As soon as I walked, the staff took excellent care of me. I've never felt more comfortable and at ease than here. Went for a referral for endodontic evaluation. Upon arriving the front desk staff asked me to sign an acceptance for out of pocket $770+ for an imaging charge that was "required but not covered by insurance". I work in medicine and asked them more questions about this, to which they flatly repeated "it's standard of care, you have to do this otherwise we won't see you". I politely asked if I could speak w/ the DDS to have a professional-to-professional conversation about what this was, and if it was "standard of care", why my excellent PPO dental insurance would cover $0 of it, while covering 100% of everything else that was being done. I've also had plenty of imaging on this tooth, and it's a relatively straightforward, front tooth. The front desk ladies/staff were all incredibly dismissive, rude, and kept repeating their same statements without either offering a clinical/medical understanding of what they were saying, and also not asking one of their endodontists to come speak with me. Poor attitudes and training. Disappointed and highly DO NOT recommend. read more

Front desk at Folsom is so sweet love Naomi in particular (phone calls with her). Helped with pain and could have anxiety if needed but couldn't feel much pain until after then got meds beside otc for it because the tooth was sensitive before and couldn't locate the tooth hurting at first until temperature test. Had to pay out of pocket but they took care credit and worth it here since would have had to look everywhere for a place that covers Endo Trearment so glad I got referred to them and especially Folsom one. amazing work and easy to reach have bad anxiety and they eased all my concerns read more

His diagnosis was that I had an abscessed lower molar that needed a root canal. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a warm welcome by all the staff. The staff was very accommodating, and patient with my anxiety. I had two root done canals today. I had to take medication for my anxiety, and the staff was very attentive and on alert as to how I was doing and monitored me exceptionally well. I can't say enough about Dr. Young being under his care today I felt like I was the only patient in the office he was so caring and bedside manner was exceptional. My regular dentist referred me to this office for my root canal. They comforted me when I was irritated that my dentist did an unnecessary filling in the first place two months ago on this tooth. Weary of my regular dentist's work, this office kindly inspected other teeth to be sure I could have as few appointments as possible. I was also allowed to have my headphones on so I could listen to audiobooks to help with the anxiety during the procedure and use hand signals to communicate. To make this office even better, I appreciate that they offer a regular payment plan that is not Care Credit. I was able to easily set up payments using my HSA. If I could give 10 stars, I WOULD! I've been having horrible dental pain without much insight. I'm from Reno, Nv and didn't have any endodontics available, since it's the Christmas and New Years holiday. My husband called around many offices in California but didn't have much luck. My husband's insurance from work will end at the end of this month as Intel laid him off six months from retirement. We are scrambling to get all of our major health concerns taken care of while we still have insurance. So off to the dentist I have been trekking! Dr. Olga, my wonderful dentist, found out that I needed a root canal when trying to replace a crown. So she was able to find an endodontist to take me the very next day. I was terrified because the last root canal I had was outrageously painful and never stopped hurting! But I had to do it. I need not have been worried because I found the sweetest dentist! He was so caring and so deliberately kind! I have never met a doctor like that before. And I am 70! I have severe problems with my spine and neck and being at certain angles, for any length of time can cause excruciating pain. But this wonderful doctor took great care, making sure I was never in pain. It has been a first, but I bet I never see it again! He was very, very careful with me, and I was in an out in under an hour! I almost wish I could have another root canal just to go back and interact with these very kind people. The dental assistant, Melissa, was exactly the same way, and she told me that she doesn't want to ever leave her job or even move away because she knows how rare it is to find a doctor this kind and this easy-going and competent. I was referred to creek side by my personal dentist . I was to see Dr holt but his schedule was pretty busy so shay referred me to the other office. I got in and an appt with Dr Zhuk. Dr Zhuk and his assistant Sabrina was amazing !!!!!! I must admit - I put off getting a root canal for 3 months . I was so scared to get it done . Boy was I wrong ! I was referred to Creekside Endodontics by my dentist who noticed something strange on an x-ray. Turns out the endodontist who did my root canal 25+ years ago messed it up and there was some infection underneath the root. Due to that "doctor" making it such a traumatizing experience, I was reluctant to go through that again. The people at Creekside have changed my mind about this procedure! The women at the front desk were kind and explained all the possible outcomes and costs. During the consult, Dr. Antonenko reviewed my x-rays and gave me a few options. We decided the best option was to re-do the root canal, and he did it during the same appointment so I didn't have to wait. They were very professional and understanding of my anxiety. I am a long time avoider of the dentist mainly because my body does not react normally to local anesthesia, pain meds really everything that's supposed to make the experience more bearable. Today I can honestly say I had a great pain free experience for a root canal. While they were prepping me they did some tests to make sure I couldn't feel anything and as a result did have to use multiple shots and some other thing to help make sure I was not in pain. And in the end I had my first pain free dental appointment since I was a child! They also handed me a stress ball when I was getting a little anxious and had wonderful music playing. My experience with Creekside Endodontics could not have been better. I required a root canal (a first for me) and I was quite nervous about the process and its after-effects. It turned out that the experience was completely pain-free, and I didn't even need Tylenol afterward. I had almost no pain. The doctor explained every aspect of the procedure and updated me as we progressed. The entire office staff was pleasant and professional and the office was immaculate. I especially commend Dr. Zhuk, the dental surgeon who performed the root canal. He made me feel comfortable throughout the procedure and spent extra time reassuring me and explaining all the steps he was taking. This is by far the most professional and caring endodontics facility. The staff is so kind, they are willing to work with you with payment plans and give incredible service. The facility is very welcoming and clean. Their work is top notch, and they ensure that you are comfortable for your entire experience.
