Love visiting Creekside Bistro in the summer and winter to experience their evolving menu with the seasons! Their chef hand delivers your meals and comes back to see how it was. One of the many reasons we love Bear Valley Village!

The Bear Valley Lodge has 3 food options that cater to different price ranges. Creekside Bistro is definitely on the higher end but very worth the price! We ordered the braised lamb shank, grizzly burger with tillamook cheese and bacon, and the creme brulee for dessert. The grizzly burger was our favorite and we were too excited to try that I didn't catch a picture. Everything about this burger was perfect- the brioche bun was lightly toasted, garlic aioli not crazy strong but just the right impact, and really loved the added combination of the tillamook white cheddar and bacon. Yummm. Also the fries it comes with are perfect level of crisp. The braised lamb shank was also amazing. Cooked in a red wine reduction and sat on top of potatoes. Super tender and flavorful and a huge portion. For dessert we got creme brulee! The creme has a nice decadent sweetness. The broiled sugar was a little thicker than I'm used to but still very delicious. I recommend everything! But especially the burger, wish I could eat it again! Till next time!

Pan seared duck with sweet potato pancakes and sautéed spinach - delish!

The staff were super friendly and checked on us often, and were more than happy to chat. The outdoor patio was super cute The food was delicious as well! We called to try to make reservations for dinner but were told they don't take reservations. No worries! We decided to take our chances on a Saturday night. First impressions were great! The location is very cozy with a few tables and a bar. I fell in love with all of the imported Italian food for sale in the market area. Authentic Italian pasta, wine, and treats? Don't mind if I do! Obviously the prices will be more than a package of Golden Grain pasta at the grocery store, but you are paying for the authenticity and quality. We were told that all of the items in the market are imported from Italy except for the gelato which is from Marin. We were lucky to have a table as they were packed when we arrived. Even though it was cold outside, there was one outside table available with a patio heater which really helped keep us nice and comfortable. We ordered the bruschetta which had the most flavorful tomatoes and herbs. We then tried the gnocchi in a pesto cream sauce. Being Italian, I'm super picky when it comes to gnocchi. Usually it is super tough and chewy in restaurants which is not how it should be. This gnocchi was super tender and light and the sauce was very light and flavorful. So delicious! For dessert we ordered the tiramisu which was seriously the best I have ever had. The servers were extremely friendly and efficient. Despite how busy they were, we felt taken care of and treated like family. The owner Sarah has struck gold again with Avellino. We can't wait to return! Buon appetito!

We hadn't made time to stop at any wineries during the day, so we choose to stop in here due to the recommendation of Worldmark staff. This is a phenomenal wine tasting option whether you have the time to visit individual local wineries or not, as 13 wineries are represented: Chatom, Chiarella, Cpppermine, Domaine Becquet, Frog's Tooth, Four Winds, Ironstone, LaFolia, Mineral, Prospect 772, Renner, Stevenot, and Zucca Mountain. For a small fee (Worldmark guests receive a discount), we tried several Domaine Becquet (Cab-Shiraz), Four Winds (Chard), Ironstone (Zin 104), Mineral (Merlot) and Zucca Mtn (Sangiovese). Buck, our gracious host, shared a wealth of knowledge on each winery, winemaker and family, making the tastings very personal, special and interesting! There was no "favoritism" for one wine or winery. One couple in our group purchased several bottles, however one, the Domaine Becquet Cab-Shiraz (DELISH!) was not in stock, but would be available in 24-48 hours. Buck took our number and as soon as this wine was available, he contacted us and made arrangements to drop it off at our room when convenient for us. Wonderful customer service! Making a brief pass-thru of this area? Short on time? Stop at The Cellar Room for a variety of wine tasting options, all in one location. We'll be back next year!
