My boyfriend and I have known about the truck but Creative Sips just opened a kiosk in Ashland! Their drinks are so DELICIOUS! I can't wait to try MORE. We tried 3 of the drinks this time. Truly Thai tea: Delicious, smooth, and not overly sweet with bobba. Mango Milk tea: LOVE it. Never tasted something so good, craving for more! We are coming back for that one. Matcha Strawberry Milk tea: The strawberry is SO FRESH and the matcha rich and delicious, with the touch of milk, So creamy. The owners are so kind, patient and friendly and the place very clean and spacious.

Boba truck outside of Heritage Baptist Church, San Leandro

The boba truck came to Heritage Baptist Church in San Leandro for our first responders appreciation day honoring police, fire fighters, sherrifs, etc. It was an awesome treat to all the families as well as the public safety. I was surprised that boba could taste so good from a food truck! There were hundreds of people they had to serve and the staff was so patient in taking orders. Slowly but surely we made it to the truck! And it was one of the most refreshing and tasty drinks I've had. Got the mango milk tea with chia seed. At first, I wasn't sure how the chia would taste with a milk tea but it was the "healthier" option, and I've never had it with my milk teas (nor had I seen it as an option) so I decided to take a chance. And I wasn't disappointed! LOVED it! The mango wasn't overly sweet and was quite delicious. The chia seed was a nice complement w a somewhat crunchy/seedy texture and actually did feel healthier to eat, rather than typical boba. My mom got the mango milk tea with rainbow jelly and equally agreed it was one of the best milk teas she's had. We couldn't stop talking about how yummy the drinks were. I would absolutely get this drink again, if only I knew where I could find the truck in the future, as it seems like they pop up at various locations in the Bay Area.

Creative Sips has a kiosk at the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum aka Oakland A's baseball park aka Ricky Henderson Field. The few A's games that I have attended this season, I always stop at this kiosk to get my boba fix. The selection is limited to what they have on hand - classic milk, truly Thai, taro time, honeydew and mango. The additions are lychee jelly, rainbow jelly, boba. As usual at the ballpark, everything is pricey. It's $7.00 for a 16-oz. glass of liquid enjoyment. I have tasted the taro, honeydew and mango flavored boba drinks. Truly Thai looks good, but I am not a sweet condensed milk fan. I haven't tried the classic milk one yet. However, my favorite is taro with lychee jelly. I don't pay full price. Being an A's Access member, I only pay $3.50. The first time I ordered a boba, there was hardly anybody waiting to order. Last week when the A's were in town, Creative Sips had a long line, one employee operating the kiosk and the service was slow. Hey, one person can't handle everything. It can be overwhelming. I am glad they have a kiosk serving boba drinks. Now if they only have Bai flavored beverages at the other concessionaires, I would go for that.

My company had hired them to cater for Coffee day! It was amazing. They had such delicious coffee options and non diary options! I am lactose intolerant and I'm happy they were able to accommodate substitutions for me. They also had milk tea available with different options! I loved the whole thing. They let me substitute my milk for oat milk in my Thai milk tea! Super delicious and the sister mei mei and the other one are so sweet, fast, and very passionate about what they do! Highly recommend for companies to hire them or even hire them for large family parities

I was at the Newark Farmers Market, and it was the beginnings of a week-long heatwave. While looking at the food stands, I noticed a food truck at the very end which happened to be the Creative Sips truck. Their "Boba Just Got Wheels" stood out, and since it was so hot, I decided to check it out. After a quick look at the menu, I went with the Classic Milk Tea. They didn't have Honey Boba so I went with the Crystal Boba instead. After a couple of minutes, my drink was ready. It hit the spot on a hot day -- cool and refreshing. If I happen to be in Santana Row, this would be an option for drinks.

Honey Boba is the most chewy and incredibly delicious little black pearls I've ever tasted. My company had their boba truck came by for Friday afternoon tea, and they served for different kind of frappe & smoothie ($7) or milk teas & coffee ($6) and topping with honey boba, Lychee jelly or crystal boba for extra $1. The drinks were kinda pricey. If it wasn't catered by my company, I personally don't think I would go out of my way to buy boba from this boba truck and pay this much for it. I love their Matcha or Mango smoothie drinks personally, it was very refreshing especially in this hot summer weather. Highly recommended it. I've also tried their oolong milktea with double amount of honey boba, it was way too delicious I had to ask for double! The oolong milktea was pretty damn sweet and the tea taste wasn't strong at all, but I'm just happy that I got to enjoy more honey boba to swallow down with some sugary tea drink. The staffs who helped to take our orders were both very nice and friendly. Good customer service is definitely a plus. I just don't like how expensive this drink could be, I'd rather go to boba shop instead. Nice cute little boba truck and HONEY BOBA!!!!!! It's amazing :D

So I know things from a truck can't be that good, butttttt this boba truck is A M A Z I N G !!! To be honest, I was skeptical trying them, but I love milk tea and can't say no to trying new things. So I ordered their thai tea, which is called Truly Thai. I changed the honey boba (the black pearls) to crystal boba (white). I get it with light to no ice. It's just what I like in thai tea. Sweet, with a splash of milk and can't forget the pearls. They were soft and not too chewy. I always want to try their other drinks, but I can't pass up on the thai tea. Definitely in my top for thai teas. The service is really good too. The girl is friendly and fast. I never have to wait too long for my drink to be ready. Their truck is always in different places, just recently they've been @ Off the Grid in Sunnyvale a lot. Follow them on IG to know where they're be.

It was pretty calm during the day and didn't seem to get a crazy amount of foot traffic, which I actually enjoyed because we were able to sit down, relax, eat, and enjoy the atmosphere without it feeling crowded. Between our food and drinks we spent around $46, so I would say it's moderately pricey, but everything we had was good. I had a birria taco from Mi Lindo Apatzingán, my husband got four tacos, and we also got rice and beans that we really enjoyed. Our food came out pretty quickly, definitely in less than 10 minutes. We also got sour apple drinks from Las Cherry's. The drinks took a little longer, over 10 minutes, but there was only one girl working at the time, so it was completely understandable. The drinks were refreshing and I definitely want to come back and try more of what Las Cherry's has to offer. I really like the whole concept here because there are so many different food trucks in one place. There's plenty of covered outdoor seating, TVs to watch while you eat, and colorful decorations that make it a fun but still calm and chill place to hang out. Even with some of the trucks being closed, there were still plenty of options. I would definitely come back, especially to try more from Las Cherry's and the potato food truck that caught my eye!

Final Thoughts: 4.33/5…read more They were our caterer for a work party. This is a food truck and they seem to have everything ready to be served to us. Asian fusion foods are typically my go-to choice and so I was very excited that they were providing us food today. Food: Garlic Fried Chicken Bowl: 4.3/5 The sauce on this is divine with the chicken. It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Personally, very much enjoyed it though. That sourness and spice from the kimchi just balances out this bowl really well. The veggies are nice and crispy. Gives it that freshness. Also, very slight detail and addition, but I always enjoy the sesame seeds and furikake sprinkle as a garnish. There's a nice nuttiness to it that they provide as a simple garnish. Spicy Tuna Poké: 4.0/5 This item was alright. The flavor was also really good, but I did get tired of eating just one type of poke protein. Typically when I go to get poke, it's 2 to 3 scoops of different proteins with various sauces to change up the flavor. I did get tired of this one after a few bites. The flavor of this item was very good though. There's a nice kick from it and the flavor tastes like a mix of kewpie mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, and sugar. Very simple, but you can't go wrong with those flavors. For the side, they added seaweed salad. Again, not your average side dish. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Menu: Small Their menu seems quite limited, but again, that is normal for a food truck, I believe. The items they provide do it just fine for me. I appreciate that they also have an option for the vegetarians. The menu we were provided was limited to 4 items, which is fine since the scale of this party wasn't anything too wild and we were able to satisfy everyone with what they provided. --------- Quality: Alright The quality of the food seems OK. It came out within a few minutes for us and I don't think it takes just a few minutes to fry that piece of chicken. I could be wrong though, so no one quote me on that. Just an observation. Not the highest expectations because their limited to the space and area in general. The product they provide is very good though. Overall, for something that has raw seafood in it, it seemed quite fresh and tasty. The items aren't made to order either and it's more assemble and serve to order, but again, they seem to be making it work with the product that they are selling. Price: Estimated Because this was a catering event, I am actually unaware of how much my administrator paid for the food. What I know is that she paid for a certain amount of bowls. From the looks of this item though, I want to estimate the price of each bowl being around $16 to $20 depending on the food item provided. Seems quite average for a bowl of food these days. Service: Quick and fast Because most of the food is already prepared and ready, the interaction with them itself is very limited. They took our order and provided us with the food. Nothing too significant to note and that is to be expected with the food truck. They were very sweet though and explained the menu items to be when I had a question. Ambiance: Simple and cute food truck The design on their food truck is so cute. The riceball is my favorite because it has this very cute face and just looks darling to me. The outside has a simple design with the name and logo on top and then perhaps some of the food items they provide written on the bottom section of the truck. Doesn't seem like anything too fancy, but simplicity is best for me. Location/Parking: Wherever they travel and navigate to Because they're a food truck, they can drive to you, which is really convenient. On Yelp, it states that their located on 36 Commercial Street in downtown, which might be where their truck is serving most of the time. Again, it is a food truck though, so they have the ability to drive to you and travel around to their customers, which is quite convenient is reaching a broader group of people.

Today, I decided to order the Chicken Fajitas, and it completely exceeded my expectations. Without a doubt, it was the most delicious fajitas dish I have ever had. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the vegetables were cooked just right, and all the flavors came together beautifully. Everything was cooked to perfection. The portion size was very generous, and the sides were fantastic. The guacamole, sour cream, Spanish rice, and black beans were all fresh, flavorful, and complemented the meal perfectly. This was my very first visit to El Halal Mexican Restaurant in the heart of downtown Willow Glen,…read moreand I've been wanting to stop by for a while. I finally decided to give it a try after hearing about the restaurant from food reviewer Dave fiore text. As someone who absolutely loves tacos and is always on the hunt for great local taco spots, I was excited to see how this place compared to some of my favorites. I ordered four different tacos, and overall, they were pretty good. They weren't bad by any means, but they also didn't quite blow me away. The meat was cooked well, the tortillas were fresh, and the tacos had good flavor. The salsa was decent too, although I personally prefer something with a little more kick. Everyone has different tastes, so this is just my opinion. One thing I really appreciated was how clean and organized the restaurant was. You can tell they take pride in keeping the dining area nice and welcoming. The staff was friendly, and my food came out quickly. It's always a good sign when a restaurant pays attention to both cleanliness and customer service. I've eaten at a lot of taco places throughout the Bay Area, so I naturally compare every new place to some of my favorites. While El Halal Mexican Restaurant didn't make the top of my list, I still had a good experience and I'm glad I finally gave it a shot. Not every restaurant has to be your favorite to be worth visiting. I also like supporting family-owned businesses because I know how much hard work goes into running a local restaurant. They deserve credit for creating a clean, welcoming place and serving quality food. Will I come back? Maybe. If I do, I'd probably try something different on the menu instead of the tacos. Sometimes a restaurant's best dish isn't the first thing you order, and I'd be interested in seeing what else they have to offer. Overall, I'd give El Halal Mexican Restaurant a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It was a good experience, I'm happy I finally got to try it, and if you're in the Willow Glen area, it's worth stopping by and deciding for yourself.
