SHE RIPPED OFF MY TOENAIL I've been going here for years and although their services aren't perfect, I've always found them to be friendly and well priced so I kept going in. However, the last time I was there, I had an unfortunate incident with my dog on my big toe so to fix it I simply asked the lady to put on some gel to even it out a little bit. She then tried to put polish on without putting gel on, and I corrected her saying no that's not how I want it. I don't want it all rough and bumpy so she sent me to the chair to get my fill for my nails... keep in mind, my feet already had a pedicure, and my big toe was primed and ready to go, all she had to do was put gel on and even it out like I asked them several times at this point. Another lady prepped my toe nail yet again, even though it just had been done and SHE RIPPED OFF MY TOENAIL, like almost completely off, thinking it was fake when it wasn't. Obviously. I don't know about you, but I can tell the difference between real or fake nails, and I don't even work on them professionally. When I got angry with her about it she acted like I was the problem and made me feel absolutely horrible so now two weeks later I am still dealing with having a ripped off toenail that I'm praying to the gods that it ends up growing back in and staying. I don't know if it will, but I will never be going back this nail salon for as long as I live. If I could give zero stars I would. So disgusting. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I went here to get my nails painted for my wedding. I'll show you my inspiration picture and my final product. Also, this is my fault for not being more assertive, but the nail tech ignored/didn't understand me when I asked for the nails to be a round shape and kept the almond shape. Last, my cuticles were hurt a few times (you can see in the pics) and even though I winced she never acknowledged. I went to another salon to have my nails redone. Gel Nail polish was uneven and had bubbles on both pedicure and manicure that cost 95 dollars. Poor product. It is always a hit or miss with them, but I've been happy for the last few months when I've been working with the guy that is in there. Today I got a new lady. I used my own drill to shape my nails and shorten them myself. I do an Ombre acrylic. The girl burned me 3 or 4 times with the drill, and I said "that is my real nail!" I was nice at first, but after the third time, comeon. I had to go back and forth with her several times about what I wanted, which is exactily what I get, every time I go there. As she was shaping, she burned my cuticles another two times. I had to ask her to fix the thickness, because she laid on huge globs and my nails were super thick, and one hand was way thicker than the other. Another lady interjects saying tht as soon as I can see my natural nail, I needed to have my set taken off and get a new one. She puts oil on my nails, and then tells me to wash my hands.... ma'am thats not how that works. I said no, I would just like to be done at this point. She charged me $70 for the fill, and argued that I needed a full full... what is that? They didn't even use polish... The menu lists it as $35. Usually, in a nail shop, someone more seasoned would step in. Nope. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I havent had my nails done in about a year so I decided to go get them done and a day after I started having pain in my finger. Went to to the urgent care and sure enough it's infected. BE CAREFUL OF INFECTIONS!! I never do reviews but I must warn y'all. I went and got my nails done like a week ago and noticed a excruciating pain in my left pinky 3 days ago, it was swollen, turning colors, and hurt even if I touched it little. I found out there was actually an infection and there was a puss pocket underneath my real nail. I had to take off the acrylic nail and go to the doctors to get it drained and get antibiotics. I was told if I didn't do anything I could've lost my whole pinky... I don't know if they don't clean their products or what but I won't be going back in fear of getting another infection. I visited this salon on Friday and was pretty pleased with how spacious it was. The nail tech I had was kind and efficient. She seemed to do a pretty great job until I was looking at toes now. There was good amount of dead skin left around my cuticles. Also the paint job could have been better. Once thing they can definitely improve on is their drying station. Bubbling in final results, didn't cover the full nail in polish, and since they use cheap polish overall, I get cheap results. The gimmick is the paraffin which I can absolutely do without. After several years of coming to this salon, I will no longer be frequenting this establishment. My mother, sister, grandmother, and I used to come to this salon every two weeks. We were known my name at this salon. However, over the course of a few months of being dissatisfied with the quality of service and treatment by the women in the salon, I will be taking my money elsewhere. They are a black girl's nightmare. Quality of Service- -The quality of a full set depends on the person you book with. It is evident that no one has actual training on how to properly care for nails or to do nails either. Asking them to soak your polish off (I use gel which means a lot of buffing on my natural nail. To prevent from destroying my nail, I prefer they soak the gel off) will only give you attitude and a half-ass job from the nail "technician". -Today, I needed a nail repair. Cathy, had such an attitude over me wanting her to shave the acrylic down to match my other nails. The "fixed" nail is bulky, crooked, and misshaped. She wanted to pop my nail off instead of removing it properly. I had to insist on her soaking my nail off. She was rushing to get the nail done, but the salon was empty. -The last time I got a fill, the lady did a great job shaping my nails, but her attitude was piss poor. I wanted to browse the colors longer before determining the color I really wanted. She took the basket of colors away from me then said I didn't need to look for another color.... How do you know what I do and don't need to do? -Prices went up, but quality of service went down. The owner stopped being in the shop and the ladies have begun showing their true colors. -They WILL mess up on your nails and act like you don't see it. ALWAYS triple check Booking- -THEY ARE HORRIBLE! Who cares if you make an appointment. It is first come first serve. They're money hungry and it shows. -They have a large appointment book with nothing in it. What is a receptionist? Products- -They use an MMA gel when you get shellac. If you have done your research, you know that this gel (which is usually gooey when you remove the gel with acetone) is horrible for your nails -They will buff your color off then pop the acrylic off with another tip (BIG NO NO) -Nail files? Oh they're the same one they used on every other person All in all, Your nails aren't gonna come out how you like. You're going to have a nail "tech" with a nasty attitude. They're going to try to rush you out the door to get their money. They can have your money, but not mine. I'm good. read more

5 stars for long lasting excellent quality shellac! I get my nails done regularly with shellac. This is the first time I've been to this salon and the first time my nails haven't chipped within the first week. I thought 2 weeks was good but this has lasted for 3 weeks! I'm so furious about my experience today. As I have for the last 2 years I got a ombré full set. The lady that has done so in the past in no longer there, so the owner (or at least I think she is) did them today. She did the ombré thin to cut cost and ultimately my nails didn't turn out (it's a more expensive powder). I expressed to her I wasn't satisfied she doubled downed that it was ombré and that when I get a fill it will be darker. I've got my nails done the same color, same place... never had an issue until today. I complain, she tells me don't pay for it then and don't come back. "DONT COME BACK?!" I've consistently came to this establishment, paid $80 for a service, tip generously and the one time I complain you say don't come back??! Then follows me outside and I'm 99% sure she called me out my name and when I repeatedly asked what did you say? We go back and forth and ultimately I leave. Complete TRASH! I was in Tacoma over the Labor Day weekend and was in search for a nail salon that was open. I was finally able to find one that was open and that's how I stubbled upon the place. My sister told me that people say that they do a good job and place is always booked. First negative encounter was we were running a lil late to the pre booked appointment so decided to call to say I'm on the way , to which I was told "oh sorry thought you weren't coming took someone else. I make it there and start process. I received a fill and pedicure work on nails was standard and pedicure was really nice. I am done with service and am told my total 110 70 for gel nails W/design ) 40 for pedicure. I asked for the break down the cost and was told you have gel fill and long nails so we charged you extra (if you look at prices it clearly states long is 5$ extra) she said oh that means only medium long and your nails are extra extra long sorry I didn't think to tell you the prices. Already starting off rude, when she was getting my color off she had the machine at the fullest speed and kept hurting me. She would twist my fingers in a hurtful way.
