The first couple times we went were great, but the last time was awful.... worst manicure I've ever had. The customer service from the "manager" is a joke. The salon is very pretty, but the staff is VERY inexperienced. They cut me and my daughter more than once. The woman who came to do my pedicure clearly didn't want to be there. She was very unprofessional and incredibly rude. We paid almost $300 for the two of us and it was the worst experience we've ever had at a salon anywhere. read more

They do a great job. I typically go to them when I'm in a bind and need to get my nails done. The only issue is pricing. However, that is what happens when you live in Hingham. I try to go in Quincy to get my nails done because it's half the cost and same outcome. read more

I went in last Saturday with my daughter and I asked for acrylic gel manicures. The guy told us to choose our color and then he disappeared. We were waiting... then someone else came over and ask the same question.... anyway finally they got us! I told them what I want and the lady didn't know to do acrylic and they called someone else. Long story/ short story they were teaching someone else on my nails... my daughter nails came up with bubbles and they were ruined in 2 days and on top of this they over charge us .... I paid $ 60 for mine and my daughter paid $55! Ridiculous!!! Every other salon charge $40 and they charged us $60! Of course I didn't give them any tip... I was very disappointed. THEY HAVE NO EXPERIENCE!!!!! OVER PRICED !! NEVER GO BACK To THIS SALON! Worst in town! read more

I am shocked at some of these reviews. My experience today was nothing but top notch! 20% off to new clients. I got the $75 pedicure in the vip room with my family for $60! One hour long, rose petals, scrub, 15 minute leg massage, 5 minute neck massage, paraffin treatment , scrub , hot stones. You name it they did it! Very very clean and very friendly. I will never go anywhere else read more

New salon in town so my girlfriends and I thought we should try it out. Entering the place we were greeted by a man who took our names and services that we are getting done. Picking out a color was followed. They have many color selection, from regular polish to gel to dip. They also offer the brand dazzle dry (regular polish) for additional $8. So, we picked our colors and went into the pedicure station. They have 30 pedi chairs. They do use plastic lining. I thought everything about the place is beautiful. Unfortunately the services didn't match the place. I've gotten a regular pedicure at the cost of $34, alloted time is 30 minutes. Cut, file, buff, cuticle, foot scrub, hot stone, lotion, and color. I clearly have 10 toes. However, Kim only tend to 8 and ignored my 2 pinky toes (o.0) . After going back to clean off the cuticles for the 2nd time, I asked Kim to borrow her nipper so I can clean my pinky toes. She insisted on doing it herself but with constant head shaking. Hmm... my pinky toes aren't invisible after all. After inspection, I've concluded that Kim needs more training on filing, cuticles, and scrubbing the bottom of the foot (She only scrub one side of the heel). I've opted out of polish. Therefore I'm clueless of how she paints. But, I am a bit particular when it comes to nail shapes, cuticle cleaning, and polish. That was my experience at creative nails and spa. One more thing, all my toe nails are at a slant. Trendy. My girlfriends wasn't happy with their services either. Said they definitely need more training. Anyone has any suggestions to a great technician? We are in need. Thanks in advance. read more

Not one to normally leave a post but I feel like there is some shady business going on at Creative Nails & Lashes Hingham After looking over the service menu online I made an appointment for a particular pedicure and a manicure at CN&L. I did not request a certain tech as I hadn't been before. Upon arrival I checked in and was told to pick a color. No guidance was given as to where I should look for said color. There were hundreds of beautiful colors. I was planning to use traditional polish but didn't know which palettes were for gel, dip, acrylic, or traditional. When I asked for help I was shooed away and I believe told I could look anywhere. After I made my selection I was quickly whisked to a seat for my pedicure. I was shown a menu to select my services. I pointed the nail tech my online confirmation and said these were the services I had chosen. She insisted I look at the menu. I obliged and chose the same services I had chosen on line. After my pedicure I was again asked what type of manicure I wanted. I told the tech again which manicure I wanted. At the end of my visit I was given a piece of paper with initials/codes of services I received along with prices and then sent to the front desk to pay. I noticed the initials of the manicure were crossed out and new initials written in along with a higher charge than the service I had selected. I told the person ringing me out that I had not requested the service with the up charge and showed him my online booking. After speaking with the tech for quite some time cashier crossed out the incorrect initials and wrote in the correct initials, then crossed out the price and wrote in a new price. BUT the price was higher than the price I had see both on the menu in the store or online. I brought that to his attention and said I would be paying the price I had seen both online and at the shop. He said our prices are going up and we are in the process of correcting them everywhere. I said that's on you, that's not for me to pay until I am quoted that higher price. I'm sending this information along so others will be aware. Had I not been paying attention I would have been charged for a service I did not want nor order. Yes, it was less than $10. Yes I could afford it. But, I should have given and charged for the services I requested and I certainly should have not have had to argue over pricing that was incorrect on their end. I will leave you with this. The salon is very clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is great. The color selection is more than ample. Will I be back? No. read more

my nails have never looked worse. although the customer service over the phone and at the front desk was great, the quality of my nails turned out to be horrific. I asked for a simple snake design in which they had done before because one of my friends went and got the same thing from the same place and this was what i received for $40+. The lady I had seemed extremely rushed and wasn't paying attention especially when I was asking about my nail shape. read more

Way overpriced but I tried it anyway. The prices are higher than all the nearby salons and then the polishes on the wall are extra. I asked for the ones that are included, they said we have them in back. They said they would "try to find" samples. Sat for a pedicure and was told that the basic things I expect from a pedicure were not included and did I want to "upgrade" .... I explained there are 10 salons within 2 miles that charge less, do more and do a great job. Then I left. If they had been upfront to start with and advertised the actual price I wouldn't have been so annoyed. read more

I don't typically leave a review but after my nails have chipped with SNS after only a week I decided to. I've been here a few times before and would say service was okay but inconsistent with how long my nails lasted before they chipped. This past time I decided i'll never go back as my nail tech wasn't able to paint a heart on my nails and gave me attitude about it. I showed the exact photo of what i was looking for prior to even picking out colors and sat through the SNS process then when it came time for the design she tried two times and seemed annoyed that i wasn't happy with the design, which respectfully looked like a elementary school student drew. She got someone else to try who also couldn't make a symmetrical heart. the lines were not even and the heart was no where near symmetrical. It's not the end of the world however if you're going to call yourself the creative nail salon you should be able to draw basic shapes. i ended up asking for something different instead and was met with attitude that i was changing it and annoyance that i wanted to look at the colors again. all i had asked for was 1 heart on 2 different nails, so was just changing the design to a french tip which had already been done on all my other nails. i've given this salon too many chances and will not be coming back. Do not recommend. read more

Very nice, very clean, and taking strong covid precautions. However, the quality does not match the pricing. Prices are extremely high, and while the salon is nice, the quality of their work is sub-par at best. The first time I visited Creative Nail Lounge was fine, but I went again today and did not have a good experience at all. I asked for coffin nails, and was given pointed ones. On top of this, when using the dremal to remove my last set, the woman ripped off quite a bit of my cuticle. They charged me over $60 to remove my full set of acrylics and replace it, all the while my fingers bled. If I were to visit again, I would be extremely cautious of who did my nails. read more

Wish I had read the reviews before I came here with my daughter on Friday!!! Because everything was true! The polish you pick is apparently different costs, and I'm not talking gel vs basic. You couldn't even tell the difference or if you were picking out the correct polish. Shady. Then they hand you a big flyer and when you say "just a basic pedicure" they pressure you for the $53 dollar pedi WTH!! Then come the add ins- "We add callous treatment?" I said ya sure..Cha-ching $38 turns into $48. Then there was over flowed water on the floor and when another patron tried to give a tip she went flying and slipped on the floor (poor kid!) Then moments later they're talking in their language and giggling. Ya DO NOT go here!! There are better more respectful places without the pressure!!! read more

!!! Hygiene Concerns !!! I came here for the first time at the end of this past June and had the Level 2 spa pedicure and a gel manicure which I paid $100 for (including tip). The staff was very kind however my technician was noticeably very new to doing nails. I normally don't mind but my manicure was not ideal. I asked to have my nails just filed and when she asked me what shape I said square at which point she proceeded to clip 5 of my nails...and at the end of the manicure, the tips were slanted instead of straight across. I didn't want to post a bad review because she was so new and it was only my first time at this salon however the results of my pedicure warrants a bad review. About 5 weeks after my pedicure, I went to take the polish off at home and noticed a brown splotch on/under my right big toenail. I have not been to any public pools or showers since this pedicure so this is definitely from the salon. My doctor confirmed it is a toenail fungus and has prescribed me medication to treat it. Safe to say I will not be returning to this salon. read more

I've gone to creative nails a few times now, although I love the look of the place and they have a huge selection this is the second time I picked out a color and it was the wrong color when they put it on my nails, I told her it was the wrong color, she told me well I showed it to you lol okay well I showed you the color I wanted and the number did not match the color, she then said it's because sometimes when you put it on the acrilic nail it sometimes doesn't come out the same haha I don't know where she came up with that but that was ridiculous. They ended up putting a gel color over the dip to make it close to the color I wanted and still charged me full price. I'm good with this place so many other places that will go above and beyond for you for no extra charge which I make up for in there tip! read more

I really should have looked at these reviews first. I wasn't paying attention to what the tech was doing. After the 3rd coat, I looked down to the worst paint job I have ever seen! (Pic below). It was an ordeal. I tried to explain a good 5 times that this polish was unacceptable. Finally a 4th person came over to me. She redid my toes (she somehow managed to redo my cuticles and cut me). She clearly wanted my to GTFO because she put my sandals on before she repainted my toes. Asked me if I was doing anything else today. I told her I wanted the same color on my nails but not now. Her reply was I remember you just asked for pedicure. read more

I have been going here since they opened and have never been to a better nail salon! The salon is gorgeous and the staff are super nice. I ended up finding this Creative Nails Lounge on Instagram. Their page looked great, so I decided to give them a try. Upon arriving I had picked out a design (one of which had been featured on their Instagram page) I decided to go with a gel powder dip manicure. The nail technician said she could not do that design as my nails weren't long enough. Ok fine. So I told her that I had seen their work on their Instagram handle and that all of their designs looked "on trend" and that I trusted her judgment, as long as she stuck with pastel colors in the design. Oh boy, I did not get even remotely an on trend look or pastel colors.....of course I didn't say anything because at this point there was no turning back. So I left paying an absurd amount for nails I wasn't really happy with. That's not the worst part. Within 6 days, 3 of my nails were already chipped....I had gotten gel dip, because they tend to last for AT LEAST 3-4 weeks. I reached out and contacted them via email through their website, no response. So I then decided to reach out on Instagram since they were so active there, it took them almost a week and a half to respond via Instagram to which they said to come in and she could fix them. By this point 7 out of my 10 nails were either cracked or chipped. I responded and told them that I really wasn't happy with my overall experience and had already taken the manicure off. I then asked them how they would go about fixing this problem to which I received no response, even though they had SEEN my message sent on Instagram (my two messages sent, to which they had seen both) STILL NO RESPONSE. Overall, I spent WAY too much money on a gel dip manicure and they did nothing to make the situation any better. I will not be returning, as they didn't handle this situation correctly at all. Very poor customer service for somewhere that has 3 different locations.... read more

This was my second visit to hingham creative nails-first experience with NGA for mani pedi was fabulous Since she was not on I had Yvonne. The most akward 65 minutes I have ever spent-she never smiled or spoke but was forcefully pushing my toes down, never sure what she wanted me to do. Kicker was she charged me $6 more due to the polish I chose (which she pointed me to choose) she told me I should have read the sign??? Most uncomfortable and silent 65 minutes I have ever spent and it killed me to tip her 20% which she in no way deserved. Stay away from Yvonne M (rude and totally unfriendly) read more

This is my 3rd time at this salon. The first two times I loved everything about my nails, but tonight I left very dissatisfied. Normally I would never complain about anything, but I find this nail salon to be rather pricey and I believe I should get what I pay for. I had very long nails at the start of getting my nails done. I had told her I didn't want a lot cut off. Somehow I ended up with extremely short, uneven, lumpy nails. I wasn't going to complain about that, I figured the tech Ivy was new. But what had me upset was at the end there were random blue and pink glitters over some nails and little black fuzzy hairs. I guessed it was from the top coat. I hate glitter so I said something to the front desk as I paid. I was given excuses as to why it happened. I understand that mistakes happen, but just saying sorry is not okay. I was extremely dissatisfied with my nails, and you just say sorry? Don't even offer to fix it? The manager said sorry next time it will not happen again, and that is exactly correct. Because I will never be coming back here again, taking my hard earned money elsewhere. I will be telling everyone I know to never come here - very expensive and poor customer service. read more

The location is awesome and absolutely beautiful renovations. the selection is great and staff was super attentive and all wearing masks, but occasionally got very close to me. I came in to get dip but my nails were pretty short so I was talked into get manicure with tip extensions Which I was happy with doing. Unfortunately the colors I picked out turned out completely different which was disappointing considering the expense. despite the amazing images on Instagram My friend who chose a design they advertised as being able to do was frustrated given they could not do the design as they advertised. if you can't do it don't advertise it? When I checked out I presented the first time customer discount which is advertised heavily but was told i had to leave a Facebook review in order to use it?? Which is not stated anywhere else? I was not allowed to use the discount unless I did so I liked their page and used the discount but considering how this rubbed me the wrong way I removed it after the fact. Additionally a woman came in without a mask and was allowed to browse for several minutes without anyone approaching her, I understand that is an uncomfortable situation for every one but several of the other customers were distressed by this or expressed their concerns to staff. The woman stated it was for medical reasons and of course had no proof of that but eventually they asked her to wear something in order to come in and so she wore a face shield with no mask which does nothing! I don't understand why her business was worth more than everyones safety including the safety of the staff. Overall disappointed. read more

Not impressed and will not go back. Confusing from the moment I walked in, even with a pre booked appointment. Lots of lead time "setting up", technicians on their cell phones while working, no sense of urgency or attentiveness towards the customer. $8 upgrade for long lasting polish, per treatment. Overall blasé attitude and not a relaxing experience. Also overpriced. read more

It was me and my friend's first time here and we were both excited in hopes this would be one of the salons that we could call our regular. Sadly, that was not the case. As we were browsing for a color, we were almost immediately rushed to choose one by a nail tech (again this was our first time here so we wanted to see what options they had) even though they were not busy. So we rushed to choose a color and sat with the two techs that were assigned to us. My tech proceeded to remove the gel polish I still had on my nails and when she asked what shape I wanted, I informed her square. I ended up with oval nail beds (not sure how she confused that). I noticed each tech has a slip with their customer's name on it and they would write the cost of the service they were providing so the front desk can charge you accordingly. I noticed she wrote $33 which was what I expected based on their website. When my friend and I were both done we walked to the front desk with our slips and paid. I paid with my credit card and tipped in cash. The front desk never gave me a receipt for the transaction but I trusted they charged me correctly. I didn't realize they charged me $47 for just a gel manicure until I reviewed my credit card statement. After opening a dispute with my CC company I contacted the salon to see if I would be able to work this out. I spoke with Truong and after providing her with the information she said she would call me back. When she called me back she kept insisting I accept a gift card from them and after declining 3 times and informing her I have no intention to return to their salon was when she actually offered to provide a refund. However that wasn't before she tried justifying the overcharge was because the nail tech had to remove my previous gel polish ($14 charge?). She then proceeded to ask for my credit card information (the entire number). I had to decline providing that information esp. since they overcharged in the first place. She then asked that I send her a screen shot of my transaction detail from my credit card account so she can show her manager. I also declined and asked why she didn't have that information on their end and she stated they do not have access to receipts after 13 days. Bizarre. I informed her I'll just follow up with my credit card company and work it out that way. My credit card company informed me everything is all set and the dispute has been completed. The salon called me again and Truong said she contacted my credit card company (not sure how she knew which company to call since I never shared that information and she claimed they didn't have access to the information anymore). Truong stated she is only refunding me $12 and not $14 because the nail tech had to remove my previous nail polish. Like I said, the slip that was given to me stated $33 total on the bottom. So like another review mentioned they have hidden fees they do not disclose (I honestly wouldn't be upset if they just told me). I do want to mention Truong was very courteous on the phone but unfortunately I don't believe we will be returning to this salon in the future. On a side note my friend's gel manicure did not come out good either (very uneven coat/streaky and looked "ripply". My gel manicure chipped within a week. read more

I went to this establishment 12/09/2022 booked for 6:00 pm services of a mani-pedi. The overall experience was not adequate for the money spent. I paid $205 in total and the service was rushed, lacking detail, and left a couple of my fingers bleeding. I believe my money is as good as anyone else's... so why wasn't the quality and care brought with the service. The employee servicing me was so concerned on rushing through it all she left a bunch of wax on my foot. As well as dirtied my coat with wax by not cleaning her hands properly. I had my partner as well with me and the same excess of wax left on their foot happened. Which prompts me to mention how my partner was at least asked through the service ..."is this okay?".. "is this how you want your nails?". Where as I was never asked not once by the employee how I felt about what she was doing. Also to say I told her how I wanted my nails. She went off and did what she thought was right and continued along with no consideration. Lastly, the massage I paid for was poor and unsatisfactory. I'd rather just had went back to massage chairs if I knew the hand massage was just a waste of time and money. My skin was just bunched and swirled. Not to mention there was an entire massage section with a chair made for massages, yet I was given my neck massage in the regular salon chairs. I was not brought there or offered it. I expected so much more and was left extremely disappointed, unsatisfied, and disgruntled with this business. read more

I don't go out of my way to give places reviews, but I have never been as disappointed with a nail salon as I was here. I got dip powder with tips last week & nail art. I was charged $85 (not including a tip). I went with my best friend and she was charged $55 for getting dip powder with nail art and no tips. Tips only cost $10 and I have never before been charged $30 for nail art (especially considering it did not take any longer to do my nail art as it did to do hers). Two days after going here, one of my nails snapped so easily while I was opening a box. The following day, one my best friend's nails completely fell off. I have gotten my nails done at Trendy in Braintree for the last two years and have never had a single nail crack or fall off in less than a month after getting the nails done. Not to mention, the guy doing my nails was completely unfriendly and even rude at a certain point. I will never go here again and wish I didn't waste so much money. read more
