This is such a darling place. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the experience…read more It is mostly a self-guided experience when painting pottery but they do a really good job explaining what you need to do. You have a 2 1/2 hour slot to finish your painting, which usually constitutes about three layers of paint. The tables for painting are a little bit tiny and shaky, and I found the brushes to be a little bit more difficult for detailed work. When you register, you have to pay a studio fee as well as a fee for the pottery that you will be painting. So plan to spend about 50-60 bucks for two people, depending on the size and item you select for pottery. It will take approximately 2 to 2 1/2 weeks to get your pottery back so plan accordingly. I definitely overall enjoyed the experience and would return to this location to paint something else.

My friends and I…read morevisited during two separate weeks, but it just so happened that both times, the instructors we were supposed to have didn't show up, so we had the same substitute instructor twice. We took a beginner wheel class, but I didn't feel like I learned a lot because the substitute instructor had other priorities. The class started about 30 minutes late, but we didn't get to make up that lost time. And to top it off, the instructor was distracted and dropped the piece (that I wanted to keep) while wiring it off the wheel! I understand that it was a hectic day and the instructor was busy all by themself, so I scheduled another beginner class a week later. But, I had a similar experience, and I still didn't feel like the instructor had their full and undivided attention on us. I feel like I didn't get my money's worth both times. I'm sure the classes and instructors are great, but I don't see myself coming back here.

In addition, the pottery includes one piece ONLY, each additional is extra (which was not said prior). If I had known, I would've focused on one piece if that was the issue. Oh well. Wish we could've worked along side the instructor. But may try again! We shall see

I had taken an 8 week pottery class at another location a decade ago. I got that creative urge to…read moretak another and chose the intermediate class at Common Ground Pottery. Little did I know I was WAY out of practice and not really up to intermediate level. That didn't stop me though. I pushed through the stuggle and came away with 3 respectable pieces. That is due in large part to instructor Colin. I wasn't always able to follow what he was doing but he was patient with me and showed me close up what to do. I still wasn't able to pull the exact shapes I was envisioning in my head but I am happy overall with what I was able to make. I was actually worried about one piece and even went back to the studio to have them toss it. I had gouged the side and patched it back together. I was afraid it would blow apart in the kiln. But I was assured it would be ok. And guess what? It was! Of my three pieces, the large bowl I made as a fruit bowl is my favorite. This is followed by a flower vase. My least favorite, a bottle, is the one I was worried about blowing up. I botched the top a bit but I made the best of it. I hid the top by turning the piece into a table lamp. And now I like it just fine. Some small regrets I have are that I wasn't really able to finish the pieces. I trimmed the vase and the bowl. I wasn't able to trim the bottle since it was made on the last day of the class. I also did not get to glaze these for myself. But Colin took down my glaze choices and that was done for me. And they came out beautiful. The vase and the bottle, similar shapes, were done in a denim blue. The bowl was supposed to be green but came out a little more aqua with some iridescence. Looks nice but not as dark as I was imagining. I don't know that I'm ready to jump back in to pottery again but I do still have some other ideas. I keep thinking I want to try hand building since I've twice done wheel throwing. I'll be sure to keep Common Ground in mind for that and see what they have to offer.

Like your house ain't sh*t It smells like relaxation it feels like good vibes its looks like where you wanna be and its prolly better than your house. #IJS --shrug-- It's a perfectly curated blend of comfort, wellness, tranquility and certified hippie sh*t. Its got stuff you do need, stuff you think you need, stuff you dont need but def all kinda stuff you want!! From home decor, health and wellness, art, accessories, snacks, stuff for kids. Real spit, Some stuff I saw, i didn't know WTF it was but it was cute AF and wanted it off GP The young lady behind the counter gave me a quick history of the shop: The concept was born out of the now-on-hold Market in the Alley, which Fergusons Downtown started more than three years ago. Before the shutdown Market in the Alley drew more than 2,500 people and featured hella vendors, sometimes more than 60. So this shop is basically the answer to Market In the Alley being shut down. **at least I think thats what she said** Its Owned and operated by the Fergusons Downtown team -- in true hippie Co-op fashion LOL The shop features products by more than 70 local makers and creatives. My favorite thing in there was a fly ass hat, and a bomb ass candle. The shops prices are all over the map from $-$$$ but just know a single $20 wont get you FAR however whatever it is will be of good quality. I plan to return for the candle pictured in my review cause that thang SMELLED BOMB! And when I get more bread id like to pay the team to decorate my house :)

They have a bunch of recurring activity nights like Plant Bingo, Moss N Sip, Succulent Nights, candle-making, open mic nights and more. They also have a really nice space that can be rented for private events. The events are mostly around $40 and can be booked online. Events do sell out! We went for Plant Bingo and had such a fun time! I recommend getting there early to grab a seat. There were four of us, so we got a nice table together. They play 20 rounds, and even if you don't win bingo, you still get a 2-inch plant. I also really liked that they talk about the different plants between rounds. It makes it fun and you actually learn something and add some plants to your "want" list. They had 3 people helping with calling, showing plants and serving food. They have some food and drink options available, or there's a restaurant next door with some really yummy sandwiches. There's also plenty of parking, and surprisingly, there aren't a ton of other stores in the shopping center, so parking was easy. Such a fun ladies' night out and a great place to do something different!

After being a client for almost a year, we were disappointed with how our business relationship ended. Following the departure of the team member in early 2026 who originally established clear expectations; communication declined, scheduled visits became inconsistent, and invoicing and plant care lacked clarity. Our services were terminated with less than seven days' notice, even though there was no contract. We raised our concerns directly with the owner, but the issues were covered by saying 'you get a discount' not a meaningful way to respond in our opinion. We never asked or knew about a discount. Our advice is simple: get all pricing, service expectations, and termination terms in writing. Based on our experience, professionalism, communication, and accountability were lacking, and the way our account was handled left a disappointing final impression.
