With my boyfriend, we signed up to paint a panda (moderate level) with Jessica Behm. I used to take art classes when I was young, but that was probably 10 years ago. On the other hand, my boyfriend isn't super artsy and painting is not something that he would ever do for fun on his own. But Jess was super easy to follow and was great with those who needed a little extra help on a step. We both came away from the two hour experience having had a great time and wanting to sign up again. They provide all the art materials and a smock, but it's still recommended to wear clothing that you don't get paint on (wasn't an issue for me but good to be on the safe side). My boyfriend and I ate dinner before and just ordered drinks when we were there. Ours was held at Wood-n-Tap in Hartford, and even though it was past 7:00, they still had a discounted Happy Hour menu that we could order from, which was great. (We got two delicious raspberry lemonades for $4 each.) There were some people who ordered appetizers with their drinks, but I'd highly recommend just eating dinner before, because you're going to want to focus on painting. Like another reviewer said, I would suggest getting there early and picking somewhere to sit that has an easy view of where the artist will be painting. Jess was great about painting a step and then walking around with her canvas, but it's just easier to reference if you're not always craning your neck to see. I love that Jess had a camera, and she went around taking pictures of people in the process of painting and of the end result. We were told the pictures would be uploaded onto Facebook later, and that we could look for them and tag ourselves. I think this company uses social media in a super effective way. I would say in signing up and choosing the level of difficulty for the painting that if you're not very good at art and want something decent-looking with minimal effort that you should go with the paintings that are marked "easy." "Moderate" for me was a little challenging, and I had to focus to make my painting look the way I wanted it to, but I'm also a perfectionist. They also add more painting events to the website throughout the month, so if you don't see something you like, definitely check back. On the same note, if you see something you like, buy your tickets early because they do sell fast. I'm so excited to do this again next month!

They will put that $10 deposit to the art you created. There is a fair amount of parking when you arrive. There is also a bunch of other store near by the place. Walking in you are warmly greeted by the employee there. It was resin Sunday and Wendy was helping us with our art. They show us all the art pieces you can make and trust me it was a hard decision to pick one. I end up making a tray and my partner decided to go a faux stain glass. Once we picked the art piece we wanted to do. They sat us down and instructed us what to do. I painted a bit then place dry flowers on my tray. When then get to pour the resin on our art pieces. The employees were patience and encouraging with everyone. The resin does takes about 24 hours to harden. They provide to option to leave it there and pick it up next open business day. Which is great, as I was nervous put it in my car for the ride back home. I would come back to do more art. They have options to paint, a room to splat paint and more. Perfect for all ages just to have fun and make art.

If you go to a place designated for afternoon tea, you would expect at least some loose leaf teas allowing the customers to smell, appreciate, and enjoy all the different tea flavors. If they had loose leaf tea, it would elevate the whole experience ten fold. Also, they had some sort of punch on the side, with no explanation and the punch pitcher did not work so guests couldn't really enjoy it until the very end. The waiters brought a box of assorted tea bags over for each person to choose and everyone loved it! Originally, I planned to use the silk flowers as the centerpieces for the tables, but we upgraded to fresh cut. Even the silk flowers were beautiful and elegant- Corrine has beautiful taste in every piece of decor. Throughout the entire event everyone kept asking how I found out about The Tiffany Juliet House. Excellent day! My group of 5 was paired with another…read moresimilarly sized group for a 2-hour zipline adventure. There were 5 or 6 lines ranging in length from about 50 feet to 700 feet. The 700 foot line is awesome. In between there is a high-ropes "intermission" when you can choose between some "broken bridges" or a net obstacle and tightripe. After that my group did a Tree Climb which is a physically demanding challenge to get up very high trees, swing from ropes, etc. Unlike the zipline which is just fun adrenaline, the tree climb requires some real exertion and I would not recommend it for those who are afraid of heights or who are not physically active on a regular basis. The guides for the adventure were all great. They were encouraging, made us feel safe, and made an effort to learn our names. It was a great experience all around and I would recommend this as an activity for anyone.

So first we did the ziplining and it was great - we zipped through about 6 lines of varying lengths and a couple of them had obstacles like a broken bridge or a tight-rope walk. The third thing we did was the scavenger hunt, which was great because we traveled through the entire premises to get clues to each station to accrue points and ultimately defeat our adversaries. lol The service and friendliness of the staff was top notch. They made us feel pretty comfortable and were having a good time along with us as well as guiding us through a fun, safe experience. It's run by Ms. Vicki which is a mom and former educator. The classes are for children 18 months to 6 years old. The emphasis on these classes is to experiment, play, make messes, explore, and create art. I took my toddler to the open art studio in Simsbury. The studio was lovely with plenty for the kids to do. They had sensory toys, art, and more. The play forest was also amazing. I just took my kids there and they loved it. The class is called mud play; there is a little creek with toys. They also had paint and we were able to paint butterfly wings and fairy doors. They offer other classes too. I am so happy to attend these with my kids, they absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back!
