I'm going to start by mentioning some items are a little expensive. They did taste good. A lot of us know when you're eating healthier it usually costs more when you eat out. This is such a cool quaint cozy super cool looking place with a great chill vibe going on. Such a comfortable feeling from the moment you walked through the door. Hard to explain but I'm sure plenty of you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. The decor is seriously on point. See attached pics. Love the strings of lights with the bulbs running thorough the place. Extremely pleasant young woman at the counter taking my order and making my food. I will get your name next time I'm here and give you a shout out. You deserve it. Very helpful & patient for my first time here. She took the time to explain on some questions I had. Smoothies are very fresh & delicious. Excellent. Outstanding. The burrito was awesome. So very healthy. The egg bake tasted just like a quiche. Basic. The Buddha bowl was good. Spicy chic peas good. Sweet potatoes delicious. Rice & quinoa average basic. What you'd expect. The place is extremely clean. Immaculate plenty people would say and it shows. All in all I really can't wait to return. I already have my eyes on a couple other items to try. Avocado toast. Also The Awakening poached eggs w/ spinach. Guess I'll be back in this area sooner than I had planned. I was here today 8.29.20 staff wearing masks. All social distancing adhered to. Signs up. Sanitizer available.

Newbrook Kitchen definitely lived up to the hype! This was one of the best culinary experiences…read moreI've had in a while. We went for their first October seating, and this month's menu has such cozy fall dishes. The cod and filet were cooked perfectly! The courses are on the smaller side, but it works out well so you can comfortably enjoy each of the six courses, plus bread. We had a front row seat to the open kitchen, and you could see how much care chef Danielle and her team put in to every dish. The timing of the courses flowed perfectly, and having it be capped at 40 people with a prix fixe menu made for a smooth experience. The servers were attentive and made sure we always had enough water and that empty plates were cleared. Perfect for a unique date night or girls night out!

We chose to sit at the kitchen bar to be close to all the action. They started us off with bread service which was cranberry bread with orange butter, and mind you gluten free but you couldn't even tell! The amuse bouche was pimento cheese bread with pork belly lardons and almonds. So tasty. Next we had honey nut squash with whipped cheese and sage. So good. The cheese was out of this world. Next we had Chorizo crusted sea bass in an herb oil cream sauce. This was my favorite dish of the evening. I honestly wanted to lick the cream sauce out of the empty dish. Next was a curry chicken which was so tasty and then our final savory dish Pomegranate braised beef with coconut rice which was my second favorite. The flavors were spot on and there was this interesting popping texture to the dish. Our final course dessert, Brown butter miso cookie cake with chai gelato was delivered by chef Danielle herself who also took the time to check in on our experience. The whole experience was phenomenal and I recommend for any foodies. This place is catching on quickly so be sure to secure a reservation as they fill up so fast!

I will say that the pace was a bit quicker than my last class, as there was much more to get done, but we kept up, giggles and all. The environment was comfortable, and the staff's attention to detail created a relaxing and enjoyable evening. We didn't have to overthink anything; we could just go with the flow. Everything was prepared for us from start to finish. After cooking, we sat, ate, and were pleasantly surprised to find that, after guessing the right amount of seasoning for our produce and meat, we ended up seasoning everything perfectly to our taste. We look forward to taking more classes and inviting a few more friends to join us.

The shop itself is amazing with so many cooking and kitchen items that you can purchase. I've taken several classes here and as an amateur cook and baker each class was interesting and a learning experience . My first class was making Cavatelli pasta , something I have never made before , what a great class and it came out so yummy ! When you arrive you go into the dining area and before you begin cooking there are complimentary appetizers and wine served! It was so nice ! For my next class I wanted to take something easy and fun so I did the mozzarella and pizza class. That particular class had about 40 people attending .All the chefs were great and kept everyone engage! Recently I attended the class .. Scarpinocc pasta with brown butter and sage sauce and lemon Panacotta but after arriving we learned the initial menu slightly changed . Instead we made ravioli with impastata cheese and fresh chopped tomatoes and basil , also Vanilla honey Panacotta. It all turned out wonderful. When first arriving we had complimentary mimosas and appetizers of riceballs and chicken. This being my first time making ravioli I was very excited ! It was an amazing time and everything we made came out delicious! Along with our meal we were also served a delicious ,freshly made salad with feta cheese ! I'm now looking on their calendar to see what else peaks my interest. Will definitely be taking another class soon ! Thank you to all the wonderful and talented chefs ! Everyone was so friendly , patient and knowledgeable !

"I've had just about all I can take You know I can't take it…read moreno more I've got a gut feeling" (Devo) You get a pretty good idea of the Lucky Gut's mission and core values when you peruse their website and see terms like Community, health & wellness collective, vitality, alternative, natural, and the like. They occupy the space that previously housed a Cajun restaurant and a Japanese restaurant before that. We made our first trip to Lucky Gut a few days ago and were incredibly impressed by every facet our visit. The gorgeous space is broken down into sections - a kitchen to rent out or use for cooking classes, a marketplace, a beverage bar, and a community room to hang out in, relax, meditate, or work on your laptop. Their market sells local food and health products, and they have a big Grab and Go section of refrigerated and frozen foods. We found their pricing to be very reasonable. We spent under $28 for a pint of frozen vegetable chili, tomato bisque, a container of chicken meatballs, and a packet of chili mix. We want to give a big shout-out to Sara, who gave us a tour of the premises. It was an absolute joy to interact with her. You really owe it to yourself to visit the Lucky Gut and be overwhelmed by their Zen-like atmosphere.

(However, this isn't currently recognized as a medical diagnosis.) We stopped in for a cold pricey drink (spritzer with adaptogens that I didn't love because it tasted mostly like sparkling water) on a summer day. But maybe the smoothies are better. Everyone was very friendly and they've created a space that people can enjoy. One part holds the kitchen for cooking classes and health workshops (self defense, mental health, etc) that seem reasonably priced; one part has the store with prepared foods, a few pantry staples like eggs and meat, drinks and gifts (candles, snacks, jewelry); and the other has couches, books and a few games. There's a small parking lot right next to the entrance but there's also other parking nearby if it fills up - you'll just have to walk a little. Nearby are Grassroots, the Coffee Spot, a yarn store and Blossom Cafe.
