Newbrook Kitchen definitely lived up to the hype! This was one of the best culinary experiences I've had in a while. We went for their first October seating, and this month's menu has such cozy fall dishes. The cod and filet were cooked perfectly! The courses are on the smaller side, but it works out well so you can comfortably enjoy each of the six courses, plus bread. We had a front row seat to the open kitchen, and you could see how much care chef Danielle and her team put in to every dish. The timing of the courses flowed perfectly, and having it be capped at 40 people with a prix fixe menu made for a smooth experience. Finally had a chance to check out Newbrook kitchen. This place is sooooo amazing. Loved the cozy feel, service and decor! The food was a real knockout here. We chose to sit at the kitchen bar to be close to all the action. They started us off with bread service which was cranberry bread with orange butter, and mind you gluten free but you couldn't even tell! The amuse bouche was pimento cheese bread with pork belly lardons and almonds. So tasty. Next we had honey nut squash with whipped cheese and sage. So good. The cheese was out of this world. Next we had Chorizo crusted sea bass in an herb oil cream sauce. This was my favorite dish of the evening. I honestly wanted to lick the cream sauce out of the empty dish. Next was a curry chicken which was so tasty and then our final savory dish Pomegranate braised beef with coconut rice which was my second favorite. The flavors were spot on and there was this interesting popping texture to the dish. Our final course dessert, Brown butter miso cookie cake with chai gelato was delivered by chef Danielle herself who also took the time to check in on our experience. The whole experience was phenomenal and I recommend for any foodies. This place is catching on quickly so be sure to secure a reservation as they fill up so fast! read more

What a special experience! The food is creative and delicious. Chef Danielle is a gem. Cheshire is so lucky to have Newbrook Kitchen (in addition to Viron Rondo). First off this place is all Gluten free and you would never know the difference. I had to ask about 4 times to make sure I wasn't about to get gluten bombed.. iykyk The food is absolutely wonderful, and unique. The whole ambiance and experience was unique. Newbrook Kitchen is certainly well-differentiated by its unique menus, care of presentation, and friendly staff. All of the mini-plates left us wanting for more with the exception of the Sea Bass. We both love this fish and prepare it often at home, but last night we agreed that the texture was reminiscent of refrozen or perhaps overcooked fish. The Sea Bass notwithstanding, all other presentations were impressively plated and absolutely delicious! Tables are a tad close so it was easy to overhear couples next to us complaining to each other about the long waits between courses. Service did indeed seem awkwardly slow. It was surprising that coffee was not available during the plated servings, and that which arrived with the Brown Butter Miso Cookie Cake (delicious!) seemed an outlier with remarkably no taste whatever -- reminiscent of an overused teabag. The ambiance is eclectic and interesting, albeit noisy. I suspect that a few noise-absorbing pads or textiles along the walls could offer a welcome improvement in communicating with others in your party. read more

I cannot recommend Newbrook Kitchen more highly! I loved the format of having a set menu and each course was better than the next. We left very full and having experienced truly amazing dishes. It was great to be able to sit at the bar and see the chef at work and all of the staff were wonderful. The space itself is beautiful and would be great for a private party as well. read more

Her supper club prix fixe menu of six petite courses changes monthly, and is refreshing compared to restaurants who don't alter their offerings with the season (I'm looking at you Viron Rondo!) The chef's formal training at the Culinary Institute of America shows in the precision of her plating and in consistently swoon-worthy flavors. All the offerings are gluten-free, not that you're likely to notice, the focus is on the deliciousness and delight of every course. The mood in the dining area is warm, cozy and intimate. This is a great place for a date night, or a special event. The restaurant is BYOB, so plan to bring a bottle. Cheshire Wine and Spirits has stores both north and south along route 10 with a great selection. Reservations open on the first of the month for the next month, and they go quickly. Small, intimate, chef's vision concept perfectly executed. Sort of a destination bistro. We attended the Saturday night supper club - The atmosphere is comfortable and fun. Most importantly the food is out of this world. Danielle, the chef and owner, has a real talent for creating recipes that impress the eye and the taste buds all served with loving care and ceremony. Eating here is a mindful and memorable event that will have you consulting your calendar to make a return reservation. And you'll want to because the menu rotates monthly. They also offer cooking classes, high tea, and charcuterie and cheese happy hours. (To my Celiac disease peps know that this is a stealth gluten-free establishment so no worries eating here. The best of the vegan tasting menu was the desert. Very much appreciated to have a vegan tasting menu outside of big cities. The staff tried their best to have a pleasant experience and was very friendly. The restaurant has a small, cozy atmosphere. I wouldn't recommend to sit at the bar if you expect to look at the kitchen: you look mostly at how food put on dishes and served. read more
