We arrived late on a Thursday night, close to 11. We were greeted by Dakota, who was super friendly…read moreand helpful. She was sweet and asked us where we were coming from, and asked if there was anything she could do to make our stay more comfortable, and told us breakfast was from 7:30-10:30 on Friday am. The first thing we noticed was that the room was stifling hot. I turned off the register, but it stayed hot all night. I normally run cold and have to have a cover on for security, but kicked all of the covers off. The bed itself was comfy. They had some renovations happening, but the room itself was pretty clean. We set our alarms for 10 to get up for breakfast. We got down there and they were all cleaned up! We were confused because we were told it ended at 10:30. We looked in the room and there was a sign on the wall that said Monday-Friday open until 9:30 and Saturday and Sunday was until 10:30. I think Dakota just thought the next day after check-in was Saturday, mistakenly. That's okay, people make mistakes and she was so nice! We decided we'd go grab some Dunkin's instead. The manager (Stuart) saw us being confused and when we explained what happened, offered to re-open their kitchen/dining area for us. Super nice of him but we let him know it wasn't necessary. We had no desire to inconvenience anyone. I did mention the heat issue and he apologized profusely and had Josè, the receptionist, discount our bill. they both chatted with me for awhile and were so pleasant and eager to keep me as a potentially returning customer, which I truly appreciated. In spite of the less than ideal circumstances of the stay, (I have been in the client care field for 20+ years) all three staff members I mentioned exemplify how it should be done!

I tried so so hard to keep this internal and not have to post a negative review, but the lack of…read morefollow up from IHG corporate as a mediator between myself and the hotel led me to review what I consider the absolute HIE I have ever stayed in over the past decade (with probably 25 or so locations under my belt). We had two rooms, the larger one with the kitchen was excellent and we had zero complaints about that one. The other though, my goodness was it bbbaaadddd. This place had a comedy of errors from the get-go, it's hard to even figure out where to begin. But here are some of my biggest complaints. - The breakfast room felt like the A/C was busted and never got below 80 degrees the three nights we were here. I thought it may be linked to the sliding door nearby from the entrance but the air conditioning seemed to be working fine right in the lobby next door, so that wasn't it. It just made the whole experience completely uncomfortable as you dripped sweat into your food. - They never replenished our towels in the room, they just took them and decided to not give us new ones. Even if housekeeping thought we were gone for the stay, why were they not replenished for possibly a next guest? See the attached photo. - Moldy shower curtain and broken shower drains in our room was a nightmare to get our sons bathed and safe in. - The pool was just mysteriously closed for more than 72 hours, it opened back up the final morning as we were checking out. - The men's bathroom next to the pool, the only public bathroom outside of the rooms themselves, was completely clogged and disgusting our entire stay. You would think they would call a plumber to have this fixed immediately but given the lack of any concern or follow up by management for any of the issues they had, it is not surprising this lingered for 3+ days. There was more but it's just exhausting to type it all out, I've given enough reasons for others in terms of our experience to make the best informed decision about you deciding to book here or not. I tried getting some points back for how bad this place was and never got follow up from IHG directly after reporting the issues above. Avoid this place like the plague, there is a reason rates are so low as well as the points to book rooms. I don't know if they are close to closing but top level management does not seem to care one bit about how the location is perceived.
