I, of course, am a new bride, and I am still seeing what looks good on my body. After I asked to try on different dresses, the owner said "that size won't fit you," or "that's a ball gown. you won't like it." What's the point of having appointments if you can't discover new things? I told her I had never tried that style, but she insisted on only having me try on gowns that SHE selected. $50 is really steep for a place that only lets you try on dresses FOR AN HOUR. I could have pictured myself walking down the aisle with one dress in particular, but I chose to take my business elsewhere. "We have another bride coming ," is what she told me when I asked to try something else on. No one ever came through the door. I had 10 mins left, but it's fine. I'm excited to learn from mistakes and not trust fake Yelp reviews, and yes, I expect her to reply to this saying that I was somehow the problem.

When I bought one of my gowns from Luv Bridal and saw Dantella listed as a recommended alterations shop, I immediately knew they were the only place I trusted. Shayma even remembered me from my past visits, which meant so much. It felt so special to come back and show her my wedding dresses -- like a full-circle moment. I remember telling her it was finally my turn to have my own wedding gown altered by her. I had complete confidence she would make both dresses even more perfect, and she absolutely did. The quality of their work is incredible, everything was completed on time, and their pricing was very reasonable -- especially for wedding gowns. They even carefully packed my dresses into my carry-on since I was flying to Florida for my Disney Cruise Line wedding, which shows how much they truly care about their clients. Thanks to Dantella, I felt like an absolute Disney princess on my wedding day. I received so many compliments and felt so beautiful and confident. I'm beyond grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and talent. I will continue to trust them with all my alterations in the future. Thank you so much to the entire Dantella team for helping make my day so magical!

Hayam Fashion - After Hayem's sloppy job on the waistline. Embarrassing.

My wife and I really wish we had read reviews like this before trusting Hayem with my wife's…read morewedding dress. We were referred to her by a bridal boutique, Garnet + Grace in Whittier, and figured if they had worked with her before, she'd be solid. Big mistake. The alterations were bad. The hem was uneven and too long, the waistline was puckered and poorly shaped, and overall the dress looked worse after the work was done. At the final fitting, my wife brought up concerns about the length, especially because she needed to perform our first dance in it, and instead of taking them seriously, Hayem just blamed how she was standing. No fixes, no accountability. Once we took the dress home and followed up again (because the issues were obvious in better lighting), Hayem refused to do anything unless we paid more. She pointed to the contract and basically washed her hands of it, even though she had told us early on that her goal was to make sure the bride was happy. That clearly didn't mean much once we raised concerns. She presented at defensive, deflecting all blame, and was very unprofessional. Callous my be an apt word. We ended up taking the dress to another alterations specialist, who immediately confirmed that the work was poorly done. We have before and after photos that speak for themselves and I'm attaching those here. Hayem might be good at talking herself up, but our experience was all excuses, bad work, and zero customer care. For something as important and expensive as a wedding dress, don't risk it. I also left a review about this experience on Garnet + Grace's Yelp page to warn other brides about the referral. Do NOT trust Hayem.

Visit #1: I didn't get a confirmation the day before so I reached out. Turns out she texted the wrong phone number, even though we'd already previously communicated so she should've had my number. Visit #2: I didn't get a confirmation again. When I reached out, she said, "Your dress was stuffed into the corner so I didn't see it. I gave your appointment time away to someone else. Can we reschedule?" We'd scheduled this over a month ago and I had to move work around for this. Visit #3: She confirmed my appointment for 3:00pm and I responded to confirm. I showed up at 2:55pm. She says, "You're early. Your appointment isn't until 3:30pm." Her text clearly said 3:00 so this is another example of her being disorganized. I waited until 3:30 and she said, "your dress is done, I just need to do a few more things." The dress was not done. I put it on, and she sits on the floor with a giant pair of shears, and just starts chopping away at the hem of my dress. Then she said she needs an hour to finish up the dress. I leave, and when I return, she said the dress is ready. I asked to try the dress on once more and she said there's no need. I really should have pushed back but I honestly just wanted to leave. The dress was fine. I don't think she did anything that was exceptionally difficult: hem, taking in the sides, adding sleeves. But I think that any amateur seamstress could do this and not be so chaotically disorganized. When I got home and took it out of the bag, pieces of chopped off fabric fell out of the bag. She didn't even bother to Clean up the loose pieces or to steam it for me. I had my engagement dress hemmed by someone else and that person had my dress steam cleaned before and it was in perfect condition. In contrast, Hayam couldn't even be bothered to clean up the loose pieces she cut off. The final straw and the reason I am writing this review: on my wedding day, I looked down and my finger was bleeding. SHE LEFT A PIN IN THE DRESS. In addition to her being chaotically disorganized in terms of keeping her appointments organized, her work is sloppy. I'm frustrated that I trusted this person with the most expensive piece of clothing I've ever bought. Her prices are average, her organizational skills are nonexistent, the quality of her work is mediocre and I'd even say absentminded. Run away brides!

You can tell from all of her experience that she knows what she's doing. We gave her an idea of the colors we wanted, and she was able to help design flowers and decor (e.g., candles, lanterns) that were better than anything we could have imagined. She was able to work within our budget to still make an absolutely stunning arrangement for both our ceremony and our reception. Even better was that she was able to use a mix of largely silk flowers (which looked gorgeous and cost less) as well as as real flowers for the bridal bouquets and groomsmen flowers, and every last detail looked perfect. She is communicative and flexible with you, and she made the daunting task of choosing wedding flowers into a stress free and beautiful experience. Would highly recommend anyone in the area looking for a florist to go with Brandi and Finishing Touch!

Our initial consultation consisted of an in-person visit to Finishing Touch's showroom where there were samples of various wedding decor set up for you to see! My fiance and I did not have a clear vision of what we wanted besides my main goal: have as many lights as possible. Brandi was AMAZING in showing us pictures of previous work and then creating new ideas that she had never done before to bring my goal to life. Brandi's communication was absolute perfection and she was clear and prompt with all of her responses. I was quite nervous about the fact that none of the actual decor would be seen until the day of the wedding; however, during our final in person consultation, Brandi put my mind at ease with her meticulous review of every floral/decor detail. Fast forward to our actual wedding day and Finishing Touch was at the venue setting up before any of us had arrived. I can confidently say that myself, my husband, and every guest in attendance was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the decor and florals from Finishing Touch. We loved being able to use a vendor that could create their own decor installations, but on top of that they are also professional and expert wedding florists (all of our bouquets and flowers from our decor stayed alive for weeks out of water and in the heat). We can not recommend Finishing Touch enough for bringing our wedding decor dreams to life!
