He has a no-nonsense outlook on construction and costs which we appreciated. Be forewarned, any construction project, whether a remodel or new construction will come with a fair share of angst. Often you don't know what you don't know and don't ask the right questions or you make assumptions that end up being just plain wrong. It's important to have a good attitude about the project. Joe and his team really work with you to make good on their assurances. At the end of the day, we really love the end result. Was it perfect? Nah, nits here and there but trust me when I say that you can be charged an arm and leg and those nits will still be there. Joe is fair and work is quality. Special shout out to Jose on the shower glass and to Ramon on the granite.

Original Review was posted on 11/10/15 (my old yelp account)…read more I first contacted Bob in 2006, but at that time I did not have the money for the built in. Nine years later today, my husband & I had decided to finally get our tv niche done. I lost Bob's contact & I wasn't sure if he was still in the business. I called around & got five quotes. I had a particular look in mind, but the problem was our large ornate mantel w/ no gap in-between the mantel & the tv opening. All of the vendors that came out & gave a bid just wanted to go around the mantel. I wasn't happy with all of the proposals & this why I know God works in a mysterious way. I remembered contacting Bob years ago & fell in love with his work through his website. I did not remember his company name, but I remembered that his website had the Christian fish symbol & Temecula location, so I searched the internet for days & was able to find him. I contacted Bob & right away he answered the phone. He was so easy to talk to & explained what needed to be done with my tv niche & the mantel. He came over, measured & gave an honest quote. He answered my never ending questions for weeks & was able to build my beautiful niche. I knew from the beginning that he was going to do an amazing job, so instead of keeping my ornate mantel I tore it out. In addition to my tv niche I asked Bob to build me a new mantel to match. Both turned out BEAUTIFUL! We LOVE our new tv niche & mantel! Thanks God I waited & was able to find Bob. Him & Sherry are truly amazing people & I am so glad I got to meet them. God bless you both! If you want beautiful work, attention to details & good price...Bob is your guy.

I highly recommend Bob and his family, you cannot find anyone else out there who will do a better job and deliver better customer service. I was on the road when I called, so receiving an email address verbally over Bluetooth and trying to write it down while driving would have been difficult. I asked if she could simply text me the information instead. Rather than accommodating the request, the dispatcher responded that it was "easy" and began giving me the email address verbally. I asked if she could text the information, or I would have been happy to provide my email address so she could send me the information directly. That would have allowed me to follow up later with the cabinet dimensions and photos. Unfortunately, there was very little willingness to work with me on what seemed like a simple request. After 21 years in the plumbing service industry, I understand the importance of good communication and customer service. Unfortunately, this initial interaction left me with enough concern that I decided to take my business elsewhere.

I guess the owner broke up with his finisher so my Job had two finishers on it... Basically it didn't Match. Not only did it not match the pull out on my vertical cabinets and desk top were built wrong. It was hitting the other cabinets on the pull out and desktop was cut wrong. It just basically wasn't going to work. So being I built rapport with the owner I was very patient in waiting and believing that he would fix the issue. So as I waited for 6-7 months , I finally got cabinets that I had to settle for because he wasn't going to redo the whole job because the finish work cost too much for him and he didn't want to pay for the finishing on the whole Job just on what needed to be fixed! So not being left totally at a loss, and being that I already paid for it, I just settled for a prefinished Laminate. Although It was a very nice laminate Metro Collection I felt more or less I had really no choice but to settle for what I Origionally didn't ask for. Still till this day I am waiting for the work to get done on the rollout and it's not happening. I cant count the numerous number of times they say they will show up to finish and it just doesnt happen. Good luck getting a return phone call back in a timely manner. Hopefully they will keep there word with your project and no promise one thing and do another. In conclusion HK is very capable in doing a good Job because I have seen other work that they have done but my experience has just not been a good one. Murphys Law I guess... Hopefully they will show up and finish the roller on the roll out so I can give them a two star instead of a one star!
