Let me start by saying that I have been lurking on Yelp for years, but I have never taken the time to make an account. I never leave reviews for anything I buy, whether its Amazon or anywhere else. For this company, I felt it was worth breaking that cycle My wife really wanted our fireplace mantel updated. We called around and received multiple bids, but as soon as we met Tony and Vicky we knew who we were going with. We're glad we did. Vicky was very quick to respond to my email questions. Tony came out multiple times to make sure we were getting what we wanted before he started the project. They were understandably busy, as we started during peak season, but the timing worked great for us. Installation was fast and clean. Tony was honest and wonderful to work with. Once the mantel was finished we moved on to the kitchen. We refinished the cabinets and wanted to get rid of that useless deadspace on top of the cabinets that most homes seem to have. Tony was able to extend the cabinetry to the ceiling and tie it in with our existing crown molding. Now the cabinets look as though they were always like that. We also had some last minute issues with our new farmhouse sink fitting and he was able to step in remedy the problem. We will be using Wicked Woodcraft for all future home projects.

Highly recommended! We are beyond estancia about the end results for our new island and custom cabinets! Tony and his staff did an amazing job communicating throughout the process, everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful, which helped make a stressful remodel manageable - THANK YOU! The quality of the cabinets are superb and exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for woodwork we highly recommended Tony! Please see the before and after pictures.

Fireplace mantle design. Desk with drawers and shelves. Expertly installed.

You get what you pay for. Why buy at a store when you can have it custom made to order. Yes it costs a little bit more, but you will be happy for a lifetime. Tony came out for an estimate. He seemed a little rough around the edges, but after a short time you could tell he has been finely sanded and finished, and is a total teddy bear nice guy. We were referred to Wicked Woodcraft by David of Masters Of Moulding. David had completed a job for us, but we wanted him to quote another project. For that job he referred us to Tony at Wicked Woodcraft. Coming from a perfectionist in the industry, that meant a lot to us. Tony took our request and concerns and went to work. We gave him a general idea of what we wanted, and completed a design for our review. After a few adjustments, we agreed on a design and a price. We were nervous on install day, but the moment he arrived, the way he prepared and setup, you could see his expertise in the field. And when he brought out his finished work, carefully wrapped and transported by him personally, it put our minds at ease. His finished work came out excellent. We could not have been more happy. 5 stars to Tony and Thor! Job well done.

Beautiful new mantle. Now we need to get new fireplace doors and it'll be complete.

After buying a defective piece of crap from a shop in Old Town Temecula we decided to have a professional build us one. What a huge difference Our new mantle is solid oak and gorgeous. If I'd have gone with this company in the beginning I'd have saved myself a lot of money and the headache I had with that other shop. We couldn't be more pleased.

Last summer I finally was able to convert a closet to built-in bookcases & cupboards. Of the three quotes I received, Tony's was the middle price, but he was the only one creative enough to make good use of the otherwise dead space behind a small wall where the closet door previously attached. He also designed one half of one lower cupboard so it could hold tall items, as I had hoped, and left the middle of the back open to my newly-painted bright green walls. I'm SO happy with every part of the resulting furniture! I now have two enclosed glass-fronted cupboards to display special books and knick-knacks while keeping them safe, and storage space for photo albums etc., without having to look at blank, white closet doors anymore. When I look at the work Tony did, with some of my favorite things displayed, I feel at home, nostalgic and extremely pleased. :-) Thank you so much, Wicked Woodcraft!

Was looking for someone to help my parents get a custom entertainment center to match their kitchen cabinets. After searching for someone to do the job, we ended up calling Wicked Woodcraft and then after his team came out, my parents and we knew he was the one--especially because they were the only ones who were able to come out personally and give a bid (a lot of contractors will not). Tony (from Wicked Woodcraft) and his team installed the entertainment center and it turned out beautifully, exactly what we asked for and more. Tony takes pride in his work and is very professional. The entertainment center's finish matched 100% the cabinets already in the house-- was very amazed that they could do this. Tony and his team's workmanship and craftmanship is excellent, flawless, and the time they took to install was pretty quick. Also, Vicky (administrative/office) was very helpful, outgoing, and provided the best customer service--- calling with updates at least once a week. Highly recommend Tony and his team, and I will be calling him soon to do another project.

Bar back with butcher block top and shelves

Tony and team did an amazing job on our bar back. Tony had several meetings with us to go over the design and finishes we wanted. Vicky was very helpful answering questions and bringing over door samples. Final result turned out great will definitely have Tony for other projects and highly recommend.

Amazing quality craftsmanship!! Top notch customer service and product. We love our custom kitchen nook! Tony did fabulous work!

Then they installed a solid waterproof barrier, poured a new concrete floor, repaired drywall and it is good as new. That was last month. This week, Joe Martin send his plumbing pros, Ed Ahumada, Jon & Romero to figure out a complex boondoggle which has been wasting gallons of water before hot water emerges. They are working as I write but I have complete confidence based on past experience with MasterCraft that the work will be correctly performed. Not all companies bring such dedication and integrity but MasterCraft is committed to professionalism and everyone is pleasant, qualified and a joy to work with.

Front start to finish, Mike Gast and Juan Navarro worked with me to translate my vision into the bright open studio I have been dreaming of... As the project manager, Mike Gast was extremely patient and accommodating, and provided lots of feedback to solve various issues. This was a large project that involved removing the garage door, retrofitting 3 sets of doors, framing and finishing for a custom look, inside and out. They even installed special thresholds so we could be assured of being able to roll equipment in and out of the space easily. After each stage of the job, the crew cleaned up the area and removed all debris. The price quoted us initially was in line with competitors, better than several, who failed to follow up with us. There was no cost-creep, and we finished at the price quoted us. Progress and payment was tracked on their online job project site, which was an added benefit and inspired confidence. I can highly recommend Mastercraft and hope to use them in the near future for several other home improvement projects. (A special thanks to the team, Victor and Tony for their cleanliness and work ethic).

As the other reviews mention, Michael is extremely knowledgeable on a variety of subjects. He took his time and looked closely at our space, including plumbing and electrical. He talked in depth to my husband, who uses a wheelchair, to see what exactly his needs were for the space, and then he made it beautiful. We had a limited budget, and Michael's design and materials were very affordable and well within our budget. If an adjustment needed to be made, he was flexible and quick to find a solution. He also watched for discounts on materials and saved us hundreds of dollars that way. Often an ADA renovation can look antiseptic, but Michael found flooring and doors and other items that made our new bathroom modern and gorgeous. It has added value to our home. We also hired him to do some additional handyman work like installing kitchen appliances. He pointed out any problems and corrected plumbing and electrical issues along the way. He had lots of tips and tricks on how to keep everything in good working order. He also installed some Smart features in our home to make it easier for my husband who doesn't have access to light switches, garage door openers, etc. He truly is a Wiz! He works hard, leaves everything tidy and is honest as the day is long. I would recommend him for any project big or small. We feel very lucky to have found such a qualified handyman, but also a great friend and neighbor. Thank you Michael!

Not only is the quality of work on point, but the functionality the unit is going to be bring is huge. Definitely worth the value. He thought of everything. Soft closing doors, adjustable inside shelve, the use of our outlet behind the unit is still acceptable, the amount of storage I have for all my small appliances such as the crockpot, blender, air fryer, rice cooker etc.... I would recommend Ricky 100 times again. He also, kept in touch over the time span of the build, his communication was great. On install day he was on time and efficient, he worked clean and left no mess behind. Very professional. We plan to contact him in the future of other projects.

Instead, we got rough, poorly finished cabinet doors and six months of being ignored. The most visible areas -- the front-facing doors -- were left with raw wood grain and saw marks. A basic sanding and wood filler (used elsewhere on the same project) would have prevented it. When we sent photos, Ricky agreed it wasn't up to his standards and promised to replace the doors after "a busy patch." That was half a year ago. Since then: no responses to calls, texts, or emails. We chose him over a Restoration Hardware or Rejuvenation vanity because we wanted to support a local craftsman who would stand behind their work. That trust was misplaced. Learn from our mistake -- be wary of Dad the Builder. Project budget: $5600 Pros: energetic, young, well intentioned Cons: poor attention to detail, follow through, communication
