I had 5 windows installed. What I really liked from the start, was the communication from scheduling a consult, to scheduling the install. I've had issues with other contractors failing to confirm appointments, and even failing to show up to complete the job. I didn't have this issue with this company. We hired Precision Door and Window sometime ago to install some large external 8ft French Doors. I wanted to wait to see how the doors held up during the winter months before I left a review. First of all their prices crush their competitor's prices. Honestly no one comes close to their prices. The installation turned out to be more difficult then planned. There we several delays caused by some technical issues, but mostly bad weather. However, the owners Mike and Jordan never wavered from the commitment to excellence, and their dedication to completing the job to our 100% satisfaction. Shortly after the installation was completed a tropical storm hit the Pacific coast of Mexico. Weather reports claimed it was the strongest storm to hit the area in the past 100 years. We live in Temecula which is only 75 miles north of the border, so the storm brought strong winds and heavy rain to our area causing many areas to flood. Additionally we had a very wet winter that brought us several atmospheric river storms. Despite all of the wind and rain, our doors held up great and not a single drop of water made it into our home. The doors look beautiful and work perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about Mike and Jordan. Also, their office manager Kelli was awesome. They framed out the wall to add a door in the space and added a window style feature to the wall opening. The price could not be matched as I tried to beat it with other estimates. They gave me a military discount also. The window feature and door wasn't able to be done by other companies because they could do the window but not frame the door or vice versa. Unlike some other companies, the owner, Mike, personally came out for a consultation and he was thorough and knowledgeable. I got three other quotes, all within different price ranges and Precision Door & Windows' quote was competitive among those. All the windows in my house have blinds and the crew removed and reinstalled them as a part of installation. In contrast, some other companies had suggested hiring a handyman to handle the blinds separately. The project spanned three full days, during which the crew maintained a clean and organized work site. The office staff demonstrated professionalism, ease of communication, and prompt responsiveness. I have Premium windows and I have only needed to turn on the AC three times this year. Even when it's 90 degrees outside during the day, the thermometer shows 78 degrees inside which makes a huge difference. Also, the windows are effective in blocking outside noise. Project is finally completed almost 11 months later. Install of the metal siding to close up the old door took about 15 minutes. All the follow up and coordination was done by Kelli, who is organized, follows through and very easy to deal with. Jordan did come with his guy and apologized again. When we moved into our home, we noticed two of the view windows had compromised seals so that the windows always looked fogged and had condensation between the 2 panes of glass. We requested two quotes: one for replacing the windows completely and one for just replacing the glass. Mike, the owner, came out and measured. We received the quotes promptly and decided to go with just replacing the glass, which was less expensive. Mike noticed the windows have a light bronze tint and suggested we could match that or go with the low E glass, which has a greenish tint to them. Although the low E glass would keep out the sun better, we decided to go with the bronze tint since it matches the other windows next to it. Plus, we are now installing solar shades over the view windows so will have protection from the sun. The installers, Trevor and Austin, were prompt, professional, courteous, and clean, and did a great job! Kelli, who handles the phones, is always professional and pleasant.
