We needed drywall, insulation, and air conditioning to make a clean, usable space. Everything about the garage is non-standard. Brandon went into problem solving mode, adding studs and ceiling joists as needed to accommodate standard drywall sheets. When the wall air conditioner didn't fit properly, Brandon created a "letterbox" with moldings that made it fit and gave it a nice, finished look. He also reengineered the garage door track brackets and added lighting, switches and a frame to make installing a second door easy in the future. Brandon also got us out of a pinch when a delivery crew couldn't figure out how to hook up new appliances in our ADU. He added proper electrical hook ups and got everything in and running great the same day. Brandon is a skilled and experienced carpenter, handles all manner of home repair, and also co-owns a haul away service that charges very reasonable rates. Brandon is flexible, easy to work with, and never upsells. An image of the finished garage project appears below.

I was impressed with Jasper's professionalism and communication skills.

This is a company you can trust who does excellent work at a fair price. JV is reliable, efficient, honest and experienced. So heres the full review: After interviewing four other highly rated local contractors, JV stood out on competitive price, accuracy in anticipating job needs, flexibility in scheduling, and responsiveness. So we hired JV Handyworks for a remote repair on a condo that had a fair amount of water damage, deferred maintenance and two live in occupants. The project seemed simple, remodel floor, paint, add a some fixtures. But that, as it always does, changed. After 30 years working with other contractors, I have seen how things can get gummed up. So when it came time to do the work, I expected some entanglement, some issue. But there wasn't. Everything went smoothly, even when we ran into scope changes from mold, water damage, needing extra materials, etc. If there were any snags, JV would anticipate and correct them. If you hire JV Handyworks, l'm sure you'll be happily surprised at the high level of professionalism, excellent quality of work, real attention to important construction details, timely communication, and most of all that rare quality in the trades, thoughtfulness. We will definitely be hiring them again.

I hired JBJB Handyman to remove two brand new Kidde smoke/CO detectors, patch the holes, and paint…read morethe ceiling. Instead, the repair made the ceiling look worse than before. When I told Jose I wasn't happy with the work, his response was, "It's not my problem." No effort was made to correct it. The job was $250, which included other repairs. We paid $100 upfront after being assured they would make it right. They never followed up to fix the ceiling, and they still haven't returned our two brand new Kidde smoke/CO detectors that we specifically asked to have removed, not discarded. Our security camera footage shows both detectors inside Jose's tool bucket as he left our home. They later claimed the detectors were treated as "trash" and even promised they would be returned, but days later they still haven't. My husband and I decided to cut our losses and consider the missing detectors the remainder of the payment. Poor workmanship, poor customer service, and no accountability. Save yourself the headache and hire someone else.

I am writing to follow up on my previous request regarding a full refund for the services I paid for, which were not completed as agreed. As stated in my initial communication, I paid a deposit $1,000 for the installation of a bathroom vanity. The original appointment was canceled, and the work has still not been completed. This has caused inconvenience and does not meet the expectations or agreement we had in place. This message serves as a second formal notice requesting a full refund of $1,000. I ask that this refund be processed within 5 business days from the date of this email. If I do not receive a response or resolution within this timeframe, I will proceed with further action, which may include filing formal complaints through applicable consumer protection agencies and pursuing other available remedies. I would prefer to resolve this matter quickly and amicably. Please confirm when I can expect the refund. I paid a deposit to this business for a scheduled service, but ended up canceling the appointment in advance. No work was performed. When I requested a refund of my deposit, the business refused to return it. There was no signed agreement stating the deposit was non-refundable, and no materials or services were provided. I attempted to resolve this directly but was unsuccessful. Based on my experience, I would recommend confirming refund policies in writing before making any payment.
