He was provided with the cut sheet a months in advance and built the cabinet to Small for the stove top. Then blame games. His worker don't speak English and cut the granite top wrong not knowing how to read the manual for the stove top. Then he drops the projects and disappears after he had been paid. 3 drawers are useless and wont go in. Another one hitting the door. If he has a BBB I will be filing a formal complaint there and activity posting on evert possible groups and social media to warn people of his scam. Not a reputable place of business. They say that the turn around time is 2 weeks and that's false. They don't communicate the wait. I had to be the one to initiate when delivery was going to take place, then kept getting the run around. The owners of the business does not care about the money you invest in the company. "We won't go broke without the 4-5k that you spent here". Our cabinets were to be installed at the beginning of the 3rd week of November and when I call Jose(owner) to follow up he is having lunch with his wife and didn't know when our cabinets were going to be installed. we tried to call the sales rep(Adriana) and she basically told us since I was in contact with Jose there is nothing else that she was going to do. Needless to say the owners didn't take any ownership for the delay of the installation and then they were looking to blame the holiday, the workers had a court day, weather, truck(that they only had one operating) Please research other places and think twice about doing business with them the owner was unethical with how everything played out. Ultimately we settled for me to pick up the cabinets and materials on Friday. Called around 12 PM and they said the product would be ready, so we decided for 5 PM to pick them up. At 3:30 PM I showed up to look at the materials and that's when we realized they were trying to send us home with what we had not agreed on; broken pieces of countertops and what they told us is that the material could be recut (That was not true since the countertops were cut to size). Then to tell us that the cabinets were at another location and we were not allowed to go look at them. Adriana went to go look at the pieces and claimed that the reason why it was broken was because they were standing there for too long. Which is weird because they were suppose to be on a truck for installation on Tuesday. In conclusion; the material wasn't ready and I still don't have cabinets But wait there's more: although they did not have the material ready on the day of pick up as scheduled, the owner refuses to issue a full refund read more

Look at the post of Anna B, and it's exactly what I'm in process of with this lying, deceitful, excuse of a business owner. On 7/21/23 I gave him half up front, as others have mentioned. I was told he'd be by the next day to measure. And would finish the job the following week. Now that's a critical piece of information, because this countertop will go in a rental that I had planned to rent 8/1/23. NO COMMUNICATION FROM THIS LYAR UNLESS I INITIATED IT. Today is 8/13/23 and he continues to give the same lies each day. First it was his forklift is broken (easy fix, rent one for $100 per day, I'm in the industry and know). Then he didn't have enough men to carry the slab upstairs (go to Home Depot and there is an endless supply of eager general laborers that would not charge much at all). He has told me, "Be there tomorrow, Bossman," no less than 20 times, and he's yet to show. I never leave reviews like this, but I'm doing so to help the next person. He has operated under "FROM THE TREE CABINETS" and also CREATIVE GRANITE AND CABINETS. You can find reviews on Better Business Bureau of Houston under CREATIVE GRANITE AND CABINETS. He has 3 1-star reviews that all detail a situation like this. I would definitely think that he keeps changing business names due to the reviews. AGAIN, these are RECENT REVIEWS. But because of the rain he had several jobs that we before us. So we had to wait about two weeks. But after I saw my finished product all was for given. He uses quality material and the pricing was excellent. I would had paid 10,000 else where for the same kitchen. We later asked him to do the rest room. And I have recommended to him to other friends. Sometimes he may delayed for install but the finishing product is amazing. We recently moved and he will be doing our kit. Their storefront looks awesome, beautiful work. I was assured that they will do the same quality work I saw at their shop. Employee arrived with apprentice, who does not know how to do anything. But he did the first item and it looked good. He asked me if I was happy with it and assured me that the rest would be done the same way. After that everything went bad. Chipped stone, wrong sizes cut, cover up with lots and lots of caulking, broken corners, cracked walls.... BEWARE!! This place is horrible. Some of these reviews are from family and friends. In reality this isn't a business at all this is absolutely horrible. I wish i could give this place 0 stars. First off he doesn't respond at all, doesn't do phone calls, just text. The owner Jose says one thing then says he either never said that or changes it completely. His own employees say it's hard for them to get works to help install that should say a lot. He took our whole kitchen down knowing he did not have our cabinets ready. This guy is 100% a con artist. I would do further digging on this so called business before getting involved. There are many reviews with the same experience as this. It's been a month now with no kitchen. Been getting sick from the exposed dry wall and powder, losing money on going out to eat everyday. He won't give any material or money back. You defiantly have to fight for what you want with this place. Paid since April, he came like 8-10 times to do measurements always says he's coming but never shows up. How does a company say. They'll be here at 9am but never show up without a update. He always pushes back start date will flip the situation saying it's your fault. Terrible experience... owner Jose is very rude and unprofessional.. we showed him what we wanted and he promised to complete the job in 2 weeks but took almost 1 1/2 months and still did not finish the job. He also forgot the conversation we had while at his business regarding the work we wanted. After all this time he only finished half of the job and never came back to finish the rest. His employees only installed the granite countertop but never put the faucet back on like he promised to do, so I had to hire a plumber to finish his job. The granite countertop did not have a sealer on it like he said it would. Took more than half the money and never paid back for the unfinished work. First, I had been mulling this over and was contemplating what I would say. Then had to make sure that I got some of my money back before I wrote this review. So here we go. I first did a google search and didn't think much of the reviews as they were mixed reviews and thought I would give it a try. So I drove by and walked around their showroom and was impressed with the cabinets. I spoke to a lady that is no longer there and will get to that in a moment. I left with a soft quote based on my own rough measurements and certainly not what I would expect as my figures would be off for sure. Fast forward three weeks and we are in phase one of our renovations so I drive by with one of my kids to pick out the colors as it would be for their bathroom. Selections went well and my wife , the boss would still have to approve as expected. LOL. So i decided to make a deposit with the understanding that measurements would be taking place soon and they did. I explained to Jose that the sinks needed to be centered under the vanity and to not go off the cabinet that was there as the center was off by at least 10 inches. He said no problem, it would be centered. So I got a picture of the measurements and didn't pay to much attention to the small drawings at the bottom as I thought it was for reference and showed to be off center. It wasn't until I asked to confirm the center and he said they were exactly what I had told him. That is when it went way outside of professional conduct by a business owner. He began insulting me and mocking me that it was me that gave him the measurements. He further insulted me by calling me stupid. Then the real insults began to fly. All the while there were other people in the showroom as he berated me instead of accepting that he made a mistake with his measurements. He then begins to insult me as an engineer by saying oh mr big shot engineer didn't get what he wanted. Mind you it's his job to measure, provide examples of his work. Instead he begins to tell me how he can use my driveway for selling cars. I then went a second and third time to begin picking out the granite and then says I'm stalking him. I was floored. I'm sorry but at what point is going to a store to make selections of granite for remodeling stalking. Didn't realize there was a limit on visits I come to find out that he has staff that quits midday which is what happened to the first young lady I spoke to. That same day I witnessed the same inexcusable behavior from a business owner. Blaming the customer for his mistakes. To finish off, I requested a refund and then says that he is taking 30% restocking fee. I then ask why if you hadn't even started building the cabinets. His lie unravels at that point. None of the cabinets he sells are custom made. They are pre fabricated and he only cuts the granite to place on top. This guy is a joke and doesn't need to be in business. I cut my losses and walked out as I didn't want to even mess with it. I felt so disgusted and will be filing a complaint with the BBB on his offensive behavior. DO NOT BUY HERE!! No no no no no! If you're looking for a good place for new countertops, this is NOT IT. You get what you pay for, or in this case you don't even get what you pay for. Save your sanity and do NOT do business with Creative Granite and Cabinets. Jose, the owner, is at best incompetent, at worst a liar and thief. They have a good selection of countertops, but getting them installed (correctly!) is a job that only an Olympian god could complete. It's like pulling teeth to get a straight answer from either the office staff or Jose, the owner. They constantly no show, no call for appointments and when they finally do show up they didn't drill the holes for the sinks before installing the countertops. Upon realizing their error the next day, my husband has been trying to work with Jose to get the issue corrected. Apparently, being asked to do a job correctly is just too much for Jose, who has now for a solid 5 days promised to come out and fix the issue and no showed/no called every. single. time. Today, when pressed to actually come get the issue corrected, he snarkily replied that he has other customer to attend to, and drilling should have been done before the countertops were installed, and that it's our problem for not letting him know about the issue sooner than the next day after installation. 1-2 weeks minimum, he said, before he could come and actually do the job he has unfortunately been paid in full to complete. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB, because contractors shouldn't be allowed to hold your house and money hostage to their whims and fancies. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business. I would give it zero stars if that was an option. Read Leigh E's review on here and you'll see that I'm not the only one who's had these issues. The completion/delivery date for my countertop was pushed back multiple times, despite being told upon ordering it that I'd have it in a week- that didn't happen. The date kept getting pushed back and I was given excuse after excuse. Promises about the delivery date, a call back, a text message response, etc. were never kept. I had to keep calling and calling to try to get answers. Four weeks later, I had enough and requested a full refund of my deposit. That's where it got worse as Jose insisted on keeping a 30% "restocking" fee despite the fact that he NEVER even started on the countertop! Jose was rude on the phone, insisted he had other customers to deal with and hung up. I had to go to the business in person to fight for my money back, which I eventually got but it wasn't easy. Jose never showed his face, despite me insisting that he talk to me in person. He instead had the two women (Aracely and D) as his messengers to clean up his mismanagement and mess of a business. Very unprofessional. Find a more reputable business and DO NOT pay your deposit in cash or via Zelle! You may have to pay more elsewhere, but it will be worth it as you'll avoid major headaches and broken promises. read more

I wasted two days waiting for them to show up. Jose and his office won't answer the phone once they recognize your phone number. He will call and text you to confirm their measurements and send text message pictures to ask you to confirm the color so he can put the responsibility on the you for any mistakes. The pictures he sent weren't even close to what we ordered. We had to go to the warehouse where he buys from and show him the granite even though the color is on the work order. I would recommend that you look for another company and avoid all frustrations. Jose, the owner, is at best incompetent, at worst a liar and has a "his business is always right attitude". Horrible service ... if you're looking to have the phone hung up on your face, the wrong stone and details, and lack of courtesy hire their service. My father with 30+ years in granite and marble ordered me a granite countertop. We agreed on the sketch but what arrived was not it. Trying to get in touch of Jose is hell. I had to call from 3 different phones. You'd think as courtesy they would have waived the delivery fee. They took the stone back. Again had to call from multiple numbers finally got in touch him after talking about them fixing one end, we didn't even agree on the delivery again. He hung up. I had to have my brother call from another number to get in touch. Save your self the trouble and find true professionals that care about customer satisfaction, this company is soooo money thirsty they preferred to take a stone two round trips than give up a delivery fee after THEY messed up on the design. read more
