I've used them in the past with multiple projects and they always did well, however. I called them out on a large remodel project and was very disappointed with the company and its representation. Prior to bidding my job, I obtained job cost, and bid accordingly. Upon final approach to the job, their rep came out and did not take notes or pay attention to the job during our 45 min walk thru. Upon reviewing the job he repeatedly asked the same questions and constantly kept trying to upcharge the job. It was apparent Laminate Countertops could not handle this job. Perhaps they are only good at small projects. Because of the misrepresentation of their ability and lack of professionalism, I would NOT recommend them to anyone. read more

Company gave a quote over the phone for removing and installing countertop. They asked me to pay half before which was $177 and I did. They go to install next day and then call and say it will be $90 more to remove counter, I say this wasnt quoted before so they reduce it to $45, ok cool. Then they say it'll be $400 more to reinstall the sink after they remove it!! WHY, How?? What did you think I was asking you to do why would I leave the sink out. So I tell them to not do anything and just refund my money because I already had someone else who could do it for the original agreed upon price. They tell me my money will be refunded. The next day nothing! So I call in and they tell me they will process my refund. Well I check my account and they only refunded $67. I call back and they say they kept the $110 for a trip charge!!! WOW what?? this was never disclosed and how is a trip charge $110 when your location is less than 20 miles away?? Are you using jet fuel?? How is this fair? I ask to speak to a manager and was told John Lugo the owner would call me and they agreed I shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes. I have not received a call and the employee told me he doubted that John would call me and I would get a lot of resistance. How is this fair business?? So basically accept business, show up jack the price up, don't do any work then keep the deposit or most of it??? Little people need help from vultures like this, please! Update- they finally refunded my money but asked me to pay $20 to the installer because they use contractors and they don't pay them!! They only get paid if they do a job. Sorry company!! I had to dispute this charge with my bank and the BBB and they finally refunded it so then my bank reversed the funds and then the company after apologizing and begging me to use them in the future tried to bad mouth me to the BBB to save face because they practice unethical tactics. I feel sorry for the contractors who are outsourced by this horrible company and I'm speaking up against them and I won't stop!!!! Scammers!! read more

Pleasent voice on the phone calling on day of installation to notify of installation. Installers arrive outside the window given- no notification that they we going to be late. Installers arrived- they proceeded to reposition the already layed cabinets.... that's fine... created hole in dry wall and left it after installing, a cabinet door that opened all the way now opens half the way. Large gaps between side splash and wall. Uneven side splash installation. Did not install additional countertops because they said the cabinets were not installed properly nor did they have the right countertop size for the bathroom. And indicated that I should call the office to reschedule. I suggest that this business invest in a forman that can come to the residence and establish readinesss to install prior to engaging. Big mess now.... this is just really bad business overall. Do not waste your time and resources with this business -have no quality control on the installation. I am so happy I found Laminate Countertops in Houston. I live in Katy and could not get the countertops I wanted in 10' length from Home Depot or Lowes (they only make them in 8' lengths). When I called Laminate Countertops, they were able to order exactly what I was looking for in the lengths I needed. Not only were the countertops cheaper than the other stores, but they came in on time and the employees worked really hard to get them delivered on the day I needed them. I was even able to get a special edge put on the countertops that the big box stores didn't offer. Everyone that I spoke to was very friendly and kept me informed during the whole process. When the countertops were delivered, they were absolutely gorgeous and have a very realistic marble look to them. I ordered the Calcutta Marble and we are installing them ourselves. I am so happy with my purchase and highly recommend this company if you are looking for beautiful countertops that won't break the bank. read more

My wife hired this company to install laminate countertops in our remodeled laundry room. The guy that came out to take initial measurements and give an estimate seemed professional and competent. However, the company sent a different person to install who did not speak English. The installer scratched several walls and ruined expensive wallpaper (manufactured in Germany) during the process. What is worse is that the counter top around the sink was measured or cut incorrectly and was obviously crooked to the naked eye. We called the company to let them know of our concerns. We were appalled that the manager tried to blame the bad job on the fact that we kindly asked the workers to take off their shoes as they came inside our house. Apparently we were not supposed to ask the workers to take off their shoes because it is a 'safety violation' and compromises the quality of their work. If this is the case then they should wear shoe covers. Long story short, after over a dozen phone calls from us redirecting them to take accountability for their mistake they finally sent another installer. The second installer said he could not repair the countertop and would have to come another day. Two weeks later, installer number 3 took one look at the crooked countertop and said he does not know who the company hires anymore (apparently this company has a high turnover) or how they are trained but the whole installation was botched. He had to take off the entire countertop and re-do the job. We asked for some money back to cover the repairs of the wallpaper but the company refused. If you are considering spending your hard-earned money on countertops for your business or home, I suggest you look elsewhere to save yourself the headache. read more
