We paid $26 for 2 hours open play which included a $11 game card - however, that card got us barely any games and I knew instantly if I didn't slow things down we were going to be done with this place in less than a halfhour. We dragged out some time on the indoor playground which definitely had some nice climbing areas and slides.. but before you know it, we're back at the games! We still had fun though especially due to the playground but on a summer day I was thinking eh maybe we should have just gone to a park's playground if this was going to be the best part.. Our favorite game was a unique skeeball one they had and the claw machine. The bounce house was fine it was nice it had a basketball hoop but not much more than that. They had a toddler section with toys but my 5 year old daughter seemed a little old for it or had a lot of those toys- definitely good for younger ones though like siblings. I wasn't a fan of everyone having to take their shoes off.. especially adults I would have figured could keep them on. I'm guessing they would make you buy socks if you didn't bring any due to sandals. At least they had cubbies. I feel like I could see a birthday party being fun here so maybe that would be a different perspective. When we went, it happened to be us and just 2 other families so it was pretty quiet. Oh speaking of parties.. it took awhile for us to finally be able to book here for open play because we were always looking for a weekend and usually they reserve morning blocks for parties (leaving open play times like late afternoon 3/4/5pm. We were hoping for earlier slots to open up at some point but no luck. It is nice that this place is located in the town of Bellmore so you can walk to other places within the town before/after for food, coffee, even a movie, etc.

The expense and amount that needed to be done was overwhelming and I needed to figure out a way to rein it in. Hiring a DJ for a Bar Mitzvah is a must, but it isn't as simple as that. The company is also responsible for providing the rest of the kids activities and, most importantly, keeping the party entertaining and flowing. Having recently moved to Connecticut and not put on an affair like this in over two decades since my wedding, I had no idea who to go to and how to keep in manageable. Also, living in CT and never having lived on Long Island, I obviously had no awareness of Great Neck Games. Randomly, an acquaintance at my Synagogue mentioned them in passing. It was honestly the greatest thing that happened to me in planning the event. Although, I am not saying it was cheap in any way, they worked with me on price and activities in order to keep the cost manageable. But, honestly, I still had no idea what to expect day of and how it would all actually take shape. The low hanging fruit was all done flawlessly. Everything that we ordered was delivered and the room looked beautiful. But, it was the little things and the people that made this event so much better than a run-of-the-mill Bar Mitzvah (see below for two of many amazing photos). Everyone was so happy and had such a great time and I credit DJ Keith Webb along with (I wish I knew their names) the MC and motivators. Keith was so much more than just a DJ. We had a separate room for the adults and he brought a speaker and playlist so they had music in that room. There was no charge for this as he just wanted to help make the event a success. He helped me negotiate the price on a couple of things we needed last minute to keep us within budget. He had a smile on his face the entire time that could fill the room. I am so grateful to him and wish I had the ability to hire him time and again. And, the MC...don't get me started on how great he was. I feel bad that I still don't know his name, but as you can imagine the day was a whirlwind and there was lots going on. He was simply special. He made every kid and adult feel like it was their day as well. But, he especially made my son feel like he should at a party of this magnitude. The motivators, two beautiful and talented women, were equally responsible for making both kids and adults feel engaged, happy and special. They were perfect. I am going to cut this here as it is crazy long, but I cannot thank Great Neck Games enough for what they did. I didn't want to put on such an expensive affair, but they did something I didn't think was possible - made me happy I did it. And, they truly deserve a large share of the credit.

Again paid by putting credits on your card using a machine that takes cash debit and credit cards to exchange for points on the plastic card give by the Person at the front after your check in and sign a waiver for your child to protect their asses from any injuries your child may receive while playing there. Was it worth it? Yeah. Would I go back again, probably not. It's good way to kill some time with your kids. But other than that I wouldn't repeat it. My son did get some good exercise in. In all honesty, I don't know what I would have done without Raquel. Even as a strong type A Bride who is extremely organized and prepared, Raquel asked the questions I didn't think of to FULLY prepare for the wedding. After the first meeting, it was like a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders. She brought an incredible sense of calm, professionalism, and organization to our wedding day, exactly what we needed. She also shared her industry knowledge for ideas, recommendations, and proper etiquette. She kept in contact with all our vendors before the wedding, days leading up to the wedding, and the day of the wedding. Raquel truly took the time to learn my husband and I, to fully understand what was important to US on our wedding day. Her preparation ensured all our vendors worked seamlessly together. Raquel managed to be everywhere at once, always a step ahead, always with a smile. She not only managed my vendors, but she also managed those guests that every bride and groom is worried about but obligated to invite (sorry not sorry). We worked with Raquel on our invitations, mirrored seating chart and mirrored welcome sign. Overall Platinum Affairs executed on all assigned tasks and everything came out nicely. However, during the process, we felt like we needed to follow up and stay on top of them. Raquel seemed overwhelmed and maybe a bit burnt out. The Meetings We met with Raquel a few times over the process to finalize details and make payments. She was not pushy and honored our requests. We wanted simple invites, and new the style of mirrors we wanted. Over the course of 6-8 months, each visit she forgot who we were and we had to reintroduce ourselves. It took away from the experience. The Service Our Invites were ordered about 8 months from our wedding date and arrived about 6 months from our wedding date. I was a bit annoyed because our original choice was out of print and we were told this one was in stock and affordable. After making our order and reviewing our proofs, Raquel and her team called to let us know we had to decide immediately on our proofs because the vendor was running low on the card stock and may not be able to print our order. Our mirror and seating chart were ordered at the same time. We had to provide the text, names and fonts about 10 days prior to the event. We actually followed up with them because no one contacted us. Once we were in touch, everything was finalized. One nit to pick, they do not alphabetize the seating charts and you do need to review your proofs. I noticed a few formatting errors when reviewing my own. Card box was just as we asked. No complaints there. Verdict Platinum Affairs was okay. Service was good, but not great. Prices were reasonable.
