Nice spot for birthdays. Staff seems very nice. But, the big drawback here... the parking is absolutely horrendous.

This is "THE PLACE" for an active kids birthday, and right in our backyard. We have hosted several parties here, and attend several others. I am so thrilled to see an invite for one of my kids friends here. I can't speak to the programs, only to the incredible space, safe equipment, kind caring coaches, and to Winnie! who has always been super friendly and fair. This review is solely based on the facility in Oceanside- if I could leave 0 stars I would. I called all during the spring & emailed- I had to have called at least 10 times- they NEVER picked up & would not email back. I kept asking the same question and when they called back (maybe twice) they wouldn't answer the question on my voicemail but simply said to call. I would call & NO ANSWER. I called in the summer- no answer! I finally got through a week before fall classes were to begin only to be told the class that I wanted was waitlisted. Ok fine, whatever- I was put in a different class and told I had to pay the first day of class- ok fine. I get a voicemail a few days later saying I had to pay that day otherwise my daughter would be dropped. I call back, guess what?? NO ANSWER. I do not trust a place that has such unreliable customer service especially when I can't pay monthly & it is pretty damn expensive. I am now taking my business to five star gymnastics in East Rockaway where they answer emails and phone calls & just make my life easier. All I wanted was an answer to a question and it was impossible to get! read more

We've been taking our two year old to the Totnastics programs for the past 6 months and we love this place. The Mommy & Me class is about an hour long, starts with about 10 minutes of free play, then circle time for a couple songs and then it's time to LET'S GO PLAY!! Mr. Charles leads the classes and he's awesome with the kids. They have a baby zip line that my son just loves as well as slides, trampolines, balance beams, and a huge bouncy house. There are tons of different activities and your child can do whatever they want to do and then move on to the next thing. Perfect for that age where they have zero attention span. We love how unstructured these classes are and our son gets to burn lots of energy in a safe, clean environment with other toddlers. I have two daughters that attend All American Gymnastics. My older one is 9 and my younger one is 5. Both my girls LOVE to go. The coaches are excellent and very motivational. My little one is very fearful of a lot of things (heights, jumping from high places, etc). The coaches have been working with her since September and she is doing amazing. She even climbed the rock wall last week.... something I never thought she would do. My bigger one has gained so much upper body strength and can now do a back handspring on her own ... again... only starting in September. Thank you All American Gymnastics. When reviewing the "Reviews" I saw many of them are dated 2012 to 2015. As a Business person I have to say...Hired employees come an go and for a Gymnastics facility they usually are Gymnast who are going to College. With that in mind...let it be known all Business Owners want things to run smoothly. They train their staff and have insurance. It would make sense that a child's safety comes first (even if he/she is crying) and if anything happened to a young child not participating in the Party but on a piece of equipment without a coach the Gym could be liable. That's why it's not permitted. My advice: Always contact the Owner when having a discrepancy - most will value your comments and make every effort to correct any problems. Yelp is a helpful tool in decision making...however not the only thing to rely on. Incidentally, both my daughters went here when they were younger to learn Gymnastics and Tumbling. Both were All-Star Cheerleaders and Cheered in College. They are grown young women now - who both work as Coaches at All American. I would say it is 2017...going on 2018 take a free trial class and decide for yourself. read more

Just had my son's birthday party here. It was his first birthday party with classmates. This place is a well oiled machine. You truly can just bring your kid(s) there for their party and the staff does the rest. They were great with the kids and the parents were really happy with the entire experience. So I have had two daughters who attended all american this past year. My daughter who was 9 came here last summer and got accepted onto their USAG team. We were so excited our first year at a real gum instead of a recreation program. Well first, the head coach at the time never spoke to you ever unless you emailed or called or waited there in the lobby that felt like a pen to talk to him and even then it was brief and a brush off. My daughter sadly never competed that entire year I still to this day am not sure why and never could get answers. So she was on team and I paid for her to be on team but never competed as part of the team. It was sad and disappointing. Well the year finally came to an end and for two weeks in June my daughter had no practice at all do to the class shows. Which is fine but I still had to pay the full month tuition. They said it balances out due to we had practices on holidays. But the truth is they would have had to make those up anyway so how does 2 weeks out balance this out? At the end of the year they had a team party. We thought nice, after a year we can finally meet all the team parents and see all the kids. Well parents took off from work and went to this team party and only 3 coaches showed up out of the 7 or 8! And no owner either. Sad that these girls commit to a team kill themselves at practice and this owner has no regard to them representing her gym. We got back into the gym in the beginning of July after a long break of no practices and our head coach isn't there!!! We get an email not a call not a parent meeting that this coach has left and will not be returning!!! Again no regard for these kids and the parents that foot the bill! The coach didn't even say good bye. The owner didn't even care to try and contact the parents herself. After some consideration my daughter said she would like to switch to the IGC team there. I was very happy because the coach she was working with seem to click with her. Well I found out he was not the only coach there was another young woman that coaches this team. After speaking with her she tells me she brings her baby who is less than a year old to every practice. How can you really safely spot my child if your baby is crawling on the floor next to you? Or if you are spotting my kid on a vault or dismount and your baby cries in pain from across the gym in someone else's arms? I am all for working moms and being accepting to bring your child to place where you work with kids. But this level of coaching the distraction is a dangerous threat to my daughter's health. I hope any mom would understand my concern on that. The place can be cleaner and the parking is terrible. The owner has made it very apparent that even though she collects hundreds of dollars from team members at this location that she doesn't care about the teams. I gave this place two stars because I believe some of the coaches especially the male IGC coach and the male coach who does conditioning for the girls team and runs the tot classes are great people. They are committed men who have a genuine love for children. The main two front desk ladies are also committed and hard workers. But this location needs a good scrubbing, better communication besides emails and more of a team comradely. I really hope this owner who I only met once on a random Saturday practice sees these faults and corrects them. I think the gym has lots of potential to be a wonderful place but it shows that this owner only cares about the money. Good luck all american! read more

Rude employee, not fun for my little ones! My daughter was invited to a party here and the birthday girl's mom said I could bring my little guy in the play area too. One of the employees was such a witch to us. I was holding my son's hand the entire time but this woman kept harassing me telling me that he couldn't go on this bouncer or on the mats or on ANYTHING. I have sound judgement and I would not put my toddler in dangerous or unsafe situation. The right thing for her to do would have been to suggest a place for us to play. Instead I had a wailing toddler and the staring eyes of the other parents as we did the walk of shame out of the play area. We were all very unhappy; even my daughter and her friends were distracted from the party and concerned about their little buddy. We never had a problem like this at any bounce party with much bigger equipment. We've certainly never been treated so rudely. I guess I know where my daughter won't go for gymnastics this fall. read more

I just want to scream on the top of my lungs!!! I had a really bad experience with the owner Winnie at All American gymnastics. She literally screamed at me two times in front of everyone because she was trying to switch my daughter and her friend into a younger class (not the class I signed for). She came at me in the lobby. Finger in my face screaming and yelling. I literally am traumatized. I couldn't even say anything back. I was seriously in shock. Then she walked away and came back again! Holy crap! Never have I ever been treated like that by a business owner. Since my children loved their class I felt terrible pulling them out. I said to myself maybe Winnie was having a bad day and just lost it. I went back the week later for them to intentionally separate my daughter from her friend. This morning I decided to call Winnie to talk about what happened. I wanted to resolve it so maybe we could move forward. She shut me down instantly. Telling me I want around the gym like I own it. Telling me that I am rude. She told me I should be doing her a favor since last year when my husband and I were struggling financially she offered for us to pay $600 for both my children instead of the normal price. I never once asked her for any favors. I was extremely grateful for the discount she was giving us. She came to me with the offer because I hadn't signed my girls up for the next year. She proceeded to say that myself and my children are nothing. On and on, insult on top of insult. I was literally speechless. I just wanted to share my experience with other parents. I have never in my life been so disrespected by an owner of a business before. Completely embarrassed in front of my peers and children. read more

STAY AWAY!!! I took my twins there for a trial class in the pre-tot program. It was their first time. so one of them was loving all the things to climb on and running around (the other one was just sitting there taking it all in). Appparently, the twin who was running around was not follow the "class" (what kind of structured class is there for a 21/2 yr old). The owner, Winnie, who I have heard is never really there was helping out bc I guess it was busy, told me after 8 minutes that my child could not stay and we had to leave. After 8 minutes!!! I was so angry and of course my kids were screaming. I had at least three parents come up to me to comment how it is insane to judge a child after 8 minutes. Afterwards, I went to speak to Winnie and she completely disregarded everything I said to her looked me straight in the eye and said "I'm done, goodbye" and walked away. The fact that this woman owns this business and speaks to customers in that way is disgusting. Don't be fooled by the good recoomendations that you may hear like I was. If you have ANY interaction with Winnie it will be miserable. This program is a gym, where kids can run and play. Well, my poor daughter got 8 minutes to try it. read more
