Cute place if you want a sweet ice cream treat in downtown Durango. We went about 7:45 at night on a Sunday... and It got busy as we were in line... Flavors tried by our crew: espresso chocolate chip (if you love coffee and chocolate you will love it- both flavors were perfectly balanced), honey lavender (lightly sweet and can taste the lavender- clean, fresh taste), mint chocolate chip (you can taste the fresh mint, it was a little strong but if you like mint this will be your jam), salted caramel (good but not anything out of the ordinary), Belgian chocolate (divine, everyone wished they could go back and get this flavor instead of what they got... except the person who got it) berry crumb (this person got half and half and liked this and the chocolate) and chocolate shakes (those folks were pleased). They have three ice cream scoop sizes and let you split the flavors so you can try more. What would have made it a 5 star: if you could taste the flavors!! Tasting would have ensured everyone was happy with their choices and as it is on the pricier side you want folks to be satisfied. Cookies n cream flavor. "The worst one ever" my 8 y old said. This place has good reviews but honestly to my family and myself it's the worst. They don't give out samples. I should have known it's a tricky place. I got the honey lavender it was ok. At least not as sweet as the cookies n cream which tasted like it has stale cookies. I know what good ice cream is and my favorite is gelato this is worse than anything I've ever had for a long time. Yummy ice cream!!!! If there is a line don't let it discourage you, they do a great job of moving the line quickly. Everyone was so friendly and the ice cream was yummy. The selection wasn't huge maybe 10 flavors, so if you're wanting a specific flavor this may not be the place for you. It is totally worth trying out though. Long line out the door. Looks like it would be nice local establishment for a dish of ice cream. Followed the line up to the counter to order. We were a party of 4. The young lady scooped us up, but wasn't exactly dished the way we thought we'd ordered. At that point I thought no big deal. Instead of handing it over to us , it was placed on the counter on their side and me continued standing in line to pay. When we got up to the cashier she never looked up at us or acknowledged we were standing there. She was counting the money in her drawer totally indifferent to us or our melting ice cream. I finally had to ask her if we could pay. She told me to go ahead and take my order. I asked her if she wanted us to pay. She was very rude. $32 for 4 servings and bad attitude? Never again. This place is the BOMB. The selection of icecream flavors is small (10 total) but there's lots of GF and vegan options. The vegan peanut butter fudge was terrific. My husband had the salted caramel which he thoroughly enjoyed. They also have little desserts available (including a GF carrot cake which looked very tasty). There were a wide selection of beverages which combined teas/sodas/etc with ice cream which also looked delicious. My favorite part of the experience was being able to choose from 3 gluten free ice cream cones (cake, sugar, and blue corn). Highly recommend this local Durango spot! read more

Ice cream is kind of like pizza to me. It's hard to find bad pizza or ice cream. But it's also not easy to find exceptionally good pizza or ice cream. The ice cream I had here was enjoyable, especially on a hot July day, but not anything exceptional. I'm only basing this review on the one flavor I tried, which was coffee chocolate chip. It was fine. The coffee flavor just wasn't forward enough for me to rate it highly though. The blue corn waffle cone was an interesting option but ultimately it didn't add a whole lot over a traditional waffle cone for me. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from going here if you have a hankering for ice cream. And when I'm in town again perhaps I'll try another flavor. Cutesy little shop on Main Street. Be prepared to hunt for parking. Employees were super friendly and patient with our large group of nine kids. Plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Bonus for gluten free cones! We got a wide range of flavors, including watermelon sorbet and salted caramel. The peanut butter vegan fudge swirl was the clear favorite, but everyone loved what they chose. Mint chocolate chip was the only disappointment- they use leaves, not oil, for flavor, and it had a strong herbal flavor. Just not our favorite. There are several choices for cones and cups, or you can have a unicorn sundae, which is served in a cup with a cone (and some magic) on top. They also make floats with sodas or coffee. Very delicious ice cream with good serving sizes. The selection of flavors is both very good and adventurous. My mother is completely dairy free and gluten free, and when she saw the flavors on the vegan menu she had to ask to make sure they were gluten free and dairy free, as she was in disbelief that such good options were possible. We've been back two nights in a row, as my mother and now my older sister are incredibly glad to have found good vegan ice cream that isn't just a sorbet.
