Vegan Peanut Butter Fudge
Chris P.

I was craving ice cream and came across this shop while I was out. It was rated highly in the area, so I was excited to try it. The service was really great, and the worker was knowledgeable and helpful when explaining the ice cream options. The shop itself was clean with plenty of seating and tables available. I was a little disappointed with the vegan peanut butter fudge. I had mixed feelings because I really wanted to like it, but while it was creamy, the flavor did not really taste like peanut butter to me. Maybe I should have tried a different flavor, it just did not hit for me this time. Overall, it is a nice shop with a few good flavors, though there are not a ton of ice cream options.

Pumpkin Spice, Pear Sorbet, Mixed Berry Crisp, Strawberry Balsamic
Jacqueline T.

My husband and I shared a waffle cone with: - Pumpkin Spice - Pear Sorbet - Mixed Berry Crisp - Strawberry Balsamic The strawberry balsamic and pear were my favorites. The pear flavor was so intense--I loved it. The balsamic was the perfect addition to strawberry and it was one of the best strawberry ice cream flavors I've had. The mixed berry crisp was mostly vanilla--it needed more mixed berry. I don't think the pumpkin spice was vegan, but it was kind of dry and not very creamy like non-dairy ice cream frequently is. They have some really great flavors, but unfortunately they don't do samples. I honestly considered not getting anything because of this. Hopefully you can get lucky and get flavors you like because there are some really good ones.

Strawberry incense cream at Cream Bean Berry

Visited June 2025. I really wanted to love Cream Bean Berry since so many locals swear by it, and their eco-conscious mission is top-notch. Organic ingredients, sustainability in every step and oh yeah, absolutely huge applause for that. But my strawberry ice cream just didn't hit the mark. The biodegradable spoon they gave me had a strange effect on the flavor, and for me, it kind of threw the whole experience off. I found out later you can grab a reusable spoon or even bring your own, but by then it was too late and the moment had passed. It's clearly a feel-good, community-loved spot with values I admire, but this visit wasn't quite the sweet treat I hoped for. Still, I might give it another shot next time with a different spoon and see if that does the trick for me.

Vegan cookies and cream ice cream with a blue corn waffle cone

I have preface that I am not vegan or gluten free, but the cookies and cream looked really good in the case! And it was! I ended up having this same ice cream twice in one trip because it was so tasty and refreshing! I loved the unique blue corn waffle cone. All the servers were super friendly considering how busy it was on the weekend of 4th of July - the line was out the door but worth the wait!

Regular scoop, half coffee half mint chip
Emily C.

We were nervous to try anything too unique without being able to sample first, so ended up going with a regular scoop of 1/2 coffee and 1/2 mint chip. Both flavors were nice and creamy and the portion was a decent size. We waited 10-15 minutes on a Thursday evening. There is a charge for using a credit card!

Family and I were visiting from out of state. We arrived in the evening and ventured out to find where the locals get their ice cream. The line was out the door, so we figured it must be good. While the ice cream wasn't bad, it wasn't great, especially considering the price. There wasn't a very wide selection of flavors to choose from, and many of them were for people with diet restrictions. Portions were pretty small, which I'm accustomed to in cases where the ice cream is amazing, but it was just average. The location was accessible and the ambiance was nice, albeit small. We shared half of the inside space with the people standing in line. Expect good ice cream, but don't feel like you need to wait in line for it.

Still tasty enough but not really what I like cheese curds to taste like. Fries were kind of like McDonalds fries but a little more limp. Again, paired with enough beer and they served the purpose. From the arugula to the aioli and the crispy batter and toasty bun the Notorious P.I.G. It hypnotized us. The pork and the peppery taste of the arugula with the AMAZING aioli MAN it was the best culinary experience we've ever had. The shishito peppers were a premiere appetizer. The flavors with the slight kick of heat drew you back for more. We will crave this food until the next time we have the pleasure of eating here. A must visit to eat in Durango! The jalapeño slaw is worthy as a side on its own. Pass the forks! The atmosphere was very welcoming and we felt excited about trying the menu for the first time. The customer service was not something we are used to and we were very impressed and appreciative. We cannot wait to share our experience with our friends.

The most extraordinary turkey sandwich I can recall partaking in. I can't believe that I'm in a…read moresmall Colorado town, where often, mediocre food is the rule, and burgers are typically the only item most restaurants are capable of mustering. This sandwich is truly epic. The wheat bread is from a local bakery. Instead of it being toasted in a perfunctory, afterthought manner, it is thoroughly toasted right at the point of the wheat kernels cracking, engendering the goodness only wheat can provide. The bacon is properly cooked, with no hint of undercooked slime present. The green chili tastes as though it was brought here this morning from Hatch, with the whole of the ingredients being uniquely fresh. Finally, the sriracha mayo sauce provides just the right presence of spice, uniquely accenting the green chili. Turkey itself is great, but I confess, is so overshadowed by the excellence present throughout the sandwich, that it hardly occupies the center stage. On another note, a definite problem here is that the water glass conveying a distinct taste of soap residue. It's bad. This happened the last time that I was here, as well. I did tell the owner about this today. Pricing is just right and seating can be awkward at times. I look forward to returning.
