They had been great up until they were bought out by Go Auto, and for me, the service went rapidly downhill. (a tip... never take your vehicle to a shop that has it's service writers on commission.) After polling friends who were Volks Folks, the number 1 recommendation was Dubsport, so with a needed tune up looming, I paid a visit. Dubsport is just the sort of place I love. One guy running a bustling little shop, who offers excellent service and value, and is willing to answer your questions honestly. Richard was extremely helpful and accommodating, and did a wonderful job on the car. On a couple of occasions since, he has helped me with inquiries and minor issues quickly and painlessly, and I am now a diehard Dubsport fan. I recommend this spot highly, if you are suffering from dealership abuse, or you just love your Volkswagen / Audi and want someone who will treat it right.

With this and a bunch of other repairs the bill was much less than what any of the dealers wanted to charge me just for the turbo replacement. I have sent several friends there and they are nice enough to tell you ahead of time if it is worth it. A friends transmission was failing and he let her know how much the fix would cost and the fact that replacing the solenoid as it was saying would most probably not solve it and it would require a full trans replacement. So she could decide ahead of time that it was not worth it to start down that road on an old vehicle that the repairs would cost more than it would be worth. Dealers would have done the initial repair knowing that it would just have been pouring money into a hole.

You can almost guarantee you'll have to go back a second time cause either a)the problem wasn't fixed or B) something else just happened to fail as soon as you drive away. Prices have almost tripled in the last 6 months, and sometimes I've seen people waiting 15 minutes before someone even greets them. They order wrong parts or forget to order them complete then lie when questioned about the ETA, passing the blame off. But there's never a shortage of alcohol and cigarettes in the break room, or random alcoholics spouting racist jokes off. One journeyman technician on site out of the 3 that pull wrenches.

So when the bunny's car had issues and needed some diagnosis and loving, she had trepidations, and I puffed up to help out and run interference (even though my hardware experience is centered around something many nanometers smaller than an oil dipstick). Neither of us needn't have worried. The staff at Ital Motors were reassuring on the phone, honored our Groupon, saw us the same day as the check engine light turned on, gave us advice and recommendations about not only the issue at hand but helpfully triaged the next needed repairs on the bunny's car. No pressure, no frisson of of sleazy, just well-communicated car love. Highly recommended.
