We were referred to Balwin Collision by our insurer and we got lucky. All of our dealings with Balwin Collision were excellent. The manager was very friendly and helpful and helped us through the process in evaluating the damage to our car and getting it fixed. The work on our car was done quickly and everything looks better than before. I know the outside of a car has to be cleaned before painting any of it but our whole car looked like it had a new paint job. It looks great! The last thing I expected was for the car to be cleaned inside but the interior was spotless, even the trunk! I swear they had to have steam cleaned everything. For obvious reasons, I hope I never have to use Balwin Collision's services again, but it is Edmonton after all, so I just might. And if I do need an autobody shop again, I won't hesitate to call these guys.

Updating my review…read more Still coming to Chase and his team at Gate Avenue Service - I think we've brought 4 vehicles here now over 10 years. First and most importantly, Chase and his team are honest and hard working. They are extremely busy but always make time to diagnose and give second opinions. They have saved me money and given me solid advice multiple times when dealerships were leaving me astray. Most recently Chase and his team helped me to advocate (aka fight) Hyundai to get a replacement on my engine. Chase provided me all the documentation that Hyundai required not once, but twice, and in paper and in e-mail after Hyundai "misplaced" it. Chase did both of these requests same day. Chase has seen me at my worst (in tears) completely overwhelmed with car stress (and I don't speak car) and also completely flustered trying to explain what felt off with my vehicle when I seriously was not describing it well. The team at Gate is always courteous and treat me and all the customers I have ever seen with respect. The only limitation or downside with Gate is that they are really busy - and for good reason! So you may have to wait a bit for an appointment but they will always treat you right! PS They offer a program to store your tires for you! All of our dealings during that time have been with this company's first point of customer contact, that being Chase, the Manager. Chase has mastered the art of making clients feel welcome as soon as they enter the premises. I can easily say that Chase has provided top notch,first class customer service to us. I know my wife appreciates always being treated in a courteous and friendly manner. The quality of repair work is at a high standard and the prices are reasonable. They are genuinely not happy until you are. Clear explainations of problems, careful tracking of your vehicle history, friendly and skilled staff, willingness to refer you if someone else could do a job cheaper/faster/better. They are particulary good at recommending the cheapest effective options. Once the solution was to hit a part with a wrench; it worked, and they charged me nothing. On a couple of occasions where repairs were not spot-on, they fixed the problem without hesitation. Case in point: I had a starter that chronically failed over a few years. I only paid for it once, but they replaced it and found the root cause of the problem. You owe it to yourself to check them out.

The manual said I should get transmission fluid, brake fluid changed, a tune-up, etc. Revolution Motors was recommended to me. The receptionist was efficient, explained the process and told me that when they finished the inspection of the car they would call and let me know the cost, and get approval for the work. They gave me a car to use while mine was in the shop. Long-story short my Forester is in great shape, and they told me that I didn't need to do the scheduled maintenance because everything was great (it is a very low mileage vehicle). Only charged me for the oil change - and gave me a great price. They have definitely won a customer for the future. So glad that the folks on Reddit suggested them. I'll be back as needed.

So when the bunny's car had issues and needed some diagnosis and loving, she had trepidations, and I puffed up to help out and run interference (even though my hardware experience is centered around something many nanometers smaller than an oil dipstick). Neither of us needn't have worried. The staff at Ital Motors were reassuring on the phone, honored our Groupon, saw us the same day as the check engine light turned on, gave us advice and recommendations about not only the issue at hand but helpfully triaged the next needed repairs on the bunny's car. No pressure, no frisson of of sleazy, just well-communicated car love. Highly recommended.
