Finger licking good.

It's during the pandemic, just one day after GA is reopened for business. I've been cooking my own food for the past few months so I'm ready for some good food aside my own cooking. I've been craving some goood ole BBQ and seafood. I stumbled on this location while running an errand. I thought, the stars are aligning because I stumbled on this location while running an errand. Most BBQ joints within small town is a hit or miss, yet this gem located in Stone Mountain is a hit! My cravings have been fixed. I ordered the rib plate with Mac-n-cheese and baked beans. Double starch, I know - it's what the young lady It was a hit.

This may be the WORST BBQ I have ever had in my life. They may say they smoked this meat, but I'm getting boiled in a crockpot all day long. Even the BBQ sauce is bland. Brunswick stew.. .sour. Mac and cheese... cheeseless. BBQ beans.. pork n beans all day long.. They didn't even try to dress them up. I can forgive you for bad sides.... but NO SMOKE IN THE BBQ. You can't tell me this is not cooked in a pot of water. Maybe they use that short cook of boiling the meat and finishing it on the grill REGARDLESS it's FLAVORLESS and stringy. No. No. No. No. No. No. there is No reason to ever come here. NONE. Do people really think food should taste like this? It's horrible. No. 83 health score. Flies everywhere. And bad food. Go elsewhere

Great BBQ sandwich and try the loaded Fries! The ribs were so tender they fell off the bone. Friendly and great vibe. Would eat her again!

Stopped into this spot when in town for a wedding which only was serving vegetarian food for the weekend. Our friends were craving some authentic bbq and this place was incredible. Spicy and sweet sauce with just enough kick, tender ribs and chicken... we were so impressed. Highly satisfied with the food and the service was great too!

Crazy Rons, how can I dislike a place with a catchy name like that? Tucked away right next to a gas station with a smell of firewood filling the air, it had all the ingredients to be a highlight of BBQ spots, yet it wasn't. Part I: A bit trashy, but bearable As much as I love roadside BBQ, this spot was just a disaster. There is a gravel parking area right next to it, so when wind blows, the dust is all over the air, including: the grill area itself, the sides on your table and on the sandwich you are holding. It's just annoying having to cover up your food when you are trying to enjoy it. Would you like some road dust on those ribs? Part II: The Luring Smell I'll give Ron's this, it looks legit. There is wood and a grill with deliciously smelling wood smoke coming out of it. There is way too much garbage laying around everywhere however, so that's never pleasant to eat around, even if it is a roadside joint. Roadside, does not mean it has to be filthy. Part III: The Breaking Point In all honesty, I can deal with all of the above. If the food was spectacular, it would have overshadowed it. Having tried the chicken and the ribs here, I'll conclude that the quality of meat used here is not very good at all. The pork itself was flavorless! It tasted like the pork you'd buy cheap at bulk at a local wholesale club and it was not good whatsoever. The only flavor was coming from the sauce, which was ok. Cole Slaw was, well, it was cole slaw, nothing notable. Collard greens preparation also left much to be desired, they lacked the flavor and juiciness that collards should have. Talk about disappointments, Crazy Ron's was the most notable one of the weekend!

A small place selling decent BBQ out of a window. No inside seating. A few umbrella tables. Menu has all the stuff you expect and want. Although I was tempted by Jamarcus' review to get the rib tips, I decided to go old school with ribs. Sides of cole slaw and collards. Ribs: well prepared, almost fall-off-the-bone, medium size, drowned in sweet but tasty sauce. I like them, although next time I might ask for dry with a tub of sauce, if that's an option. Cole slaw: nice, not anything to rave about Collards: similarly nice, maybe need some salt or hot sauce. Second visit: Rib tips: even more drowned in sauce. Still tasty but I think I prefer on the bone. Potato salad: solid choice Beans: OK but they don't need the ground beef Service both times was quick. Walk up to the window, wait for it to open, place your order, wait 5-10 minutes. Prices are in line with other BBQ outlets. Overall: A-OK. Very tasty food. Probably need to cut back on the sauce, and the sides aren't the best.

One the very best pulled pork sandwiches I have ever had. The jumbo sandwich is huge with the pork soaked a sauce that has a slight tangy taste that some zest to to the tender pork. If you are ever around Stone Mountain Village be sure stop by and get yourself a sandwich, you will be glad you did.

My experience was not good the chopped beef was not tender. The sides were not that good. And the prices were high. I would not recommend.

Everyone was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing, truly 5-stars quality across the board. The smoked filet was phenomenal, and the craft cocktails, white sangria, and wine selection were all excellent. Even though there wasn't a children's menu, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our kids were taken care of. The chef even prepared special dishes just for them, which we truly appreciated. I can't say enough about how thoughtful and accommodating the entire team was. Our waitress, Liz, was such a professional she helped us navigate the drink menu and made suggestions and brought surprises and samples based on our likes. We will be returning!

The owner has some other restaurants downtown Decature as well The "Cherokee Rose", very nice ambient atmosphere good looking restaurant. However it appears to be Family run with close friends and their kids. The Staff is not very attentive, one bartender so long waits or missed over waiting to place a drink and food order No one's really educated on the menu when asked a question about the food items. They just slide a menu in front of you as a gesture - you read it if you want to know. I can't see the small print on these menus to save my life lol I invited a industry colleague for a business dinner Ok, food review they offer an oxtail protein in the collard greens "Yummy" however I didn't find oxtail in the collard greens anywhere. My guest ordered some cwing dinner that looked like a contraption. As far as the presentation was delivered. I decided on a liquid diet after seeing the food delivery Next week I personally stopped in-for lunch wanted to give this place a chance to rebound and my full attention on a fair review. I wanted to also make sure management was there. An older caucasian woman greets me well we have a cordial conversation about my previous experience and my embarrassment at such a nice looking restaurant She was unable to believe this happened at her restaurant. Just plain disbelief and raved about the kitchen and pride that goes into her food to later having to eat those words Again, limited menu what is up with the 4-5 items to chose from. I donot eat steak fries So I just ordered the burger - medium well - not burned and it had no venison mixed or blended meat added The burger came out with old brown tarnished lettuce I sent it back for fresh lettuce . She brought it back they added thousand island dressing when I specially asked for mayo on the side which was also provided. What is going on in the kitchen I took a bittersweet bite anyways and spat it out. Took my utensils which looks like a switch blade in a fairly nice restaurant. bad esthetics decisions I knifed out The center of the uncooked raw meat of the burger and waited patiently for the nice lady to find her way back over to me I offered to just pay and leave. She ask what was the problem . I uncovered the burger and allowed her to witness fir herself Her face turned beet red and quickly said no charge and stormed off to her kitchen where I am sure like "The Oak" there was a Waffle House griller reject acting as a chef " Pictures attached : I can't make my Experiences UP! #SMH you just can't get what you pay for anywhere these days Me being a restaurant consultants. I've contacted a few franchises and alerted them to a decent food market thst can use some great affordable food options Let me help "Stone Mountain Village Grow"

Truly a piece of culinary excellence…read more For the most part, our table stuck with appetizers, and somehow that alone delivered a full dining experience. Every single dish came out intentional, balanced, and full of flavor -- the kind of food that makes you slow down and appreciate each bite. Some highlights from our visit: Bread Basket -- warm focaccia with EVOO, balsamic, house dipping oil, and whipped ricotta (absolutely dangerous) Crab Stuffed Mushrooms -- rich, delicate, finished with a lemon butter drizzle Braciola -- parmesan breadcrumb filling, red sauce, served with focaccia Beet Carpaccio -- roasted beets, goat cheese, candied walnuts, arugula -- the perfect mix of sweet, earthy, and fresh Fried Tortellini -- cheese-filled with an nduja parmesan sauce that had serious depth Italian Spring Rolls -- pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella, peppers & onions -- unexpectedly incredible Even though we focused on starters, nothing felt small or secondary. Each plate stood on its own and showcased the kitchen's attention to detail and flavor. The drinks were immaculate -- balanced, smooth, and thoughtfully crafted. Yes, the plates looked like they came from Dollar Tree (no judgment, lol), but when the food is this good, that becomes part of the charm instead of a flaw. I'm already looking forward to going back. Fresca Trattoria is one of those places that reminds you why dining out can still be special.

Overpriced & not good ambiance…read more Restaurant was empty but we were seated right next to only other table with people, next to bar area, apparently to make it more convenient for wait staff/right next to kitchen/service area. Food tasted good though.
