I skipped the toast and most of the cole slaw as it seemed too sweet. But the pork was excellent. Moist, tender and needing no sauce. A BIG portion here. Definitely quality barbecue and I enjoyed the meal. Yum! [Review 1327 of 2026 - 974 in Georgia - 26506 overall]

Their BBQ sauce is so good too. Prices were reasonable. The cashier definitely gave off "I'm just here to do my job" vibes lol. no small talk, just straight to the point. Honestly, I respect it. They were bitter and had little flavor. 2 Banana Puddings - Banana pudding is one of my favorite desserts, so I was most excited about this. Unfortunately, this was a letdown. The pudding was very loose, soupy consistency. There was banana flavor but that was pretty much it. Not a lot of cookies in this portion either. This was not worth $5.25 Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and would order from here again

I would rate everything I sampled 7/10. Mrs. Patton and her staff were super friendly and down to earth. Operating hours for the pickup location are Tue-Sat from 11a-7p. I would definitely visit J's Smokehouse in the future to try additional menu items.

The food is southern, so if you're a northerner, you may not vibe with some of the flavor, especially the collard greens. My husband is a northerner, and he didn't like it at all. I'm from Atlanta. I love ALL southern food! My 3 stars are for the excessive flies that were in the food truck. Chef was fanning flies as he plated my food. They need to keep the back door of the truck closed and put something on the inside to abate the flies. They were feasting up in there! Other than that, it's a cool spot. It's very easy to get to and there's ample parking.

And the inside was clean and had a nice chill vibe with the music, so no complaints about service or ambiance. Now foe the real reason we're here, the grub. I wasn't disappointed at all, some things slapped more than others, but overall a good experience for my pallet. I'll go dish by dish. Ox tails were a 9 imo, they weren't the biggest, but they aren't stingy and the flavor was on point. Cabbage was a 7but not bad, I just would've liked it to be cooked down a little more but I appreciate the flavor profile cuz I sensed a lil spice to it. The sweet potatoes, ehhhh... I'd give em a 5 at best, only because it tasted like sweet potato pie! Which isn't nasty or gross but I didn't want or expect to be eating sweet potato pie is all, so I'd pass on that in the future myself. The turkey wings were a 7, I wanna give em an 8 cuz they were so damn tender and slipped off the bone, they cooked them perfectly. They just need a lil salt. Fortunately the gravy carried and made up for it, but I wish the turkey wings just had a tad bit more flavor on their own. But nonetheless I enjoyed em and would get them again push come to shove. The rice was a 10, moist and flavorful and just nothing bad to be said about the rice. Now for the collard greens. So much to dissect here, because I like big leafy greens vs chopped or dice, and they most certainly delivered in that regard so I was very happy there. HOWEVER... I couldn't tell if they were burnt or if they were over smoked!! Either way it messed up the flavoring for me and I couldn't enjoy them to their full potential, and THAT was a let down. So for the greens I'm teetering around a 6. I'd low key wanna try a sample again to see if they just had a bad day before wasting my time getting a while order and gambling with my taste buds. As for the Mac, I liked it, nothing super special to say or bad by any means either so I'm comfy giving the Mac an 8. The peach cobbler was a 7.5, my wife said it was too sweet for her but I enjoyed it. I feel since we took it to go and I reheated it by time I got back to the Telly, u can't really critique it too heavily cuz some things u need to have fresh in its natural state to give it a fair assessment, but nonetheless I enjoyed it and ate both mine and hers, and would definitely get it again. Overall great experience and would recommend to others and get myself if I'm ever down here again!

My wife loves the music atmosphere in the building, you can also see other customers grooving to the music so they know how to please their customers ears. Now for the service, every time we come by we always run into a very nice & sweet lady but we can tell one of the employees does have an attitude from the group. I'm glad we didn't have to deal with her, life is stressing but when you come to work it's best to leave the attitude behind & put your best A game while you're at work. Let's go now with food, I enjoy soul food. It's just some kind of food that gets you stuffed. Makes me feel like I'm enjoying a home cooked meal, their food is delicious. I'm not picky & I don't like down shamming anyone's business. That's not how I roll, I have a business myself & I know I'd dislike someone who understands situations or value of what they do. But, I did have an issue on the temperature of the food. It comes out lukewarm & it's a little disappointing because you're waiting at least 10-15 mins before you get your food. I would atleast appreciate the food being a little warmer. In this order, my wife got oxtails with Mac & Cheese & Fried Okra. She was pleased with her order! I love their cornbread muffin, it has amazing flavors! I got the honey croissant this time with my smoked chicken, it wasn't bad but I guess I was digging the honey on the croissant. Chicken was good, i enjoyed it & the veggies are great. I got steam cabbage, their seasonings were amazing. I also got veggies, they came out great. I absolutely admire their fresh squeezed agave lemonade! It tastes amazing, I recommend anyone to give it a try. I made a sun-joy out of it! I can't complain, their food will get you stuffed for the prices they have going on here. Each plate is around $15.00-24.00.
