She was very attentive and helped explain the menu. She made sure I got the best service possible. Her personality is amazing you can tell she genuinely cares about the guests. Mmmm... this joint really hit the spot! After reading some reviews I was was nervous but I don't know what those folks are talking about. The service was great. We were seated fast, the place is clean, and our food came out fast. The vibe is cool and I appreciate how the server was especially attentive, kept our drinks filled and the sweet owner also made her rounds which says a lot! As for food, we had the fried okra, snow crab, crawfish, and vegetable fried rice. Everything tasted great! The crab was juicy and very flavorful! Oh speaking of juicy, the "all-mix" sauce is so bomb. Buttery, Cajun, Lemon-Peppery....soooo good! My hubby takes down 4 lbs of crawfish like nothing and said that it was really good. Crazy crab was a fun treat for my husband and I. There aren't many places like this in El Paso. There was a small wait so we opted to sit at the bar. The bartenders were busy with orders but continued to pay good attention to us and engaged in friendly conversation. We got the chamizal combo and added king crab. We chose the mix seasoning which has lemon pepper, Cajun and garlic butter! The flavor was amazing! It was a bit pricey for us two ($120) but I blame it on the beers and added king crab! BUT last night, Friday, April 26, our dinner was interrupted by possibly either the owner or manager at CRAZY CRAB at The Fountains. An Asian woman came storming into the restaurant and I saw her approach a young lady employee who was cleaning a table when she stormed at her and took a bucket from her forcefully! I could tell the young worker was not prepared for the encounter from the older woman, especially the way in which she approached her. They both went into the kitchen area and we heard the Asian woman screaming at her as well as at least other male workers. I told my wife that was really UNPROFESSIONAL of the lady. The couple next to us also was taken aback by what we were hearing. He and I both said we will NEVER come back here. I was feeling bad for the young girl, and after about 15 minutes, the girl came out crying and left. Is this a normal day at CRAZY CRAB? Again- I will never go back!!! read more

This place is fire! Coming from Los Angeles I was expecting a good sauce and that's exactly what I got. Place was clean, our server was everything and knowledgeable and made some pretty good suggestions which did not disappoint. I ordered 1 pound of snow crab (all in one sauce-extra hot), half pound of shrimp (all in one sauce-hot) and the chicken fried rice that my server suggested. The boil bags come with corn/potatoes. When I say this sauce gave what it was supposed to had given. The sauce was so good I put it on my rice!! I got pretty full off my shrimp and crab legs before finishing them so I peeled them and added them to the rice with some of that sauce and ate it the next day and it was still as good as the day before. The calamari was good, and the oysters was ok we was not a fan of how they did the crab boils, I'm not sure that cooking things in a bag get cooked very well. And it was very hard to get a drink; not that they taste good enough to really want a second one! My husband ordered a Mojito and it only had one leaf of mint and it was really water down. She RUDELY SPEAKS to us and tells us nothing is wrong with the chicken and the reason it's red it's because of the red sauce. WHAT RED SAUCE MA'AM !!!! The chicken we ordered had no sauce... We very calmly asked her to just remove it we didn't want it and she raised her voice and picked at the chicken that was uncooked and said there was nothing wrong with it .. She then said eat another piece of chicken in front of me! ummmmm nooooo thank you! That's how you get food poisoning! She then continued to try to argue with us. We just wanted the chicken removed especially since we didn't even eat any of it! Later I was told she was one of the owners!!!! Ooh they also didn't have any utensils! We didn't get any plates , forks we ordered crab and didn't even get crab crackers!!! Guess what we got nasty used UNSANITARY scissors !!!! No one attended on us for 10 minutes, 1 server checked on us and we had no menus asked us if we're okay so we asked for waters. Very small portions and seems like they include the corn and potato in the weight as well which is ridiculous. Menu is unclear. The lunch menu is for weekdays only. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. We ordered the shrimp boil with the mixed sauce. It was a lunch special 1/2 lb shrimp for $11.99 It was delicious! The sauce was garlic butter with Cajun seasoning. Yummy! We ordered the med spice level which was perfect. Inside the boil bag was a small corn on the cob and some small potatoes. Where do I start? First, you're greeted by a hostess that doesn't smile or greet you, but instead treats you like she's doing YOU a favor by seating you. The waiter wasn't much friendlier at all. He asked what we wanted and brought it, but needs A LOT of schooling on how to wait tables and get good tips. (I usually tip 20-30%. He got 15%). Then we get to ordering, and they're out of EVERYTHING!!!! Out of avocado fries, Dos Equis, mussels, lava cake?!?!?!?! Every time we tried to order something, YUP, they're out! We ordered calamari and when they brought it without sauce, I thought they just forgot it. NOPE! When we got the bill, they charged us $2.00 for sauce. The Cajun broil has ZERO spice, Oh, and when it says on the menu that the 5 lbs of variety of seafood for $100 comes with ONE potato and ONE piece of corn, THEY AREN'T LYING!!! LOL, you have to order more if you want more than ONE PIECE of each of a broil that feeds 4-5. NOT WORTH A VISIT! I always try to shop n eat local, but thought I'd try this place out. NEVER AGAIN!
